This is one of the more competent Walgreens locations. Love that they are open 24-7 as well. The pharmacy is usually pretty spot on in getting my orders correct, and they've always been friendly. Good selection of cosmetics and boots brand products also. No complaints so far! They use nfc at their registers also, which is nice for quick checkouts. read more

always drop off rx to have it filled so I don't know about wait times. I will say that I do like the pharmacy manager who is very helpful when I need to ask questions. One staff pharmacist Irena or something like that seems to be more on the indifferent side like other reviews state. This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. I've tried to give them grace for 2 years now and it's never gotten better. I get my birth control here and my doctor has not only stated specifics of the brand I need but the quantity due to my bodies reaction and they mess it up every time. They never give me the right version of the medication and sometimes they change to brand out despite specific doctors orders that state I can't take the off brand. Then they fight me that my brand isn't offered anymore. This place is a joke! read more

Walgreens, I'm not gonna lie, I like CVS more. But you were open and I had a gaping wound and 4 prescriptions to fill, so we tangoed tonight. I'm not sure what was happening honestly, but dude, Ahmaad in pharmacy was killing it. I know stress when I see it and he was hustling hard to kick whatever the problem is right in the butt. Lines were backed and he dealt with the brute of it all; customers. The pharmacist in the back was also on top of her game for the stress. I don't know her name but she was very friendly and doing her best. The management was a boss, she swooped in and God bless her soul. I don't know your name either but you are working goals. I waited an hour and a half for my prescriptions, which would usually not mind me too much, but my arm did have a bleeding gaping hole and I had a really sweet Uber driver who was down to take me to the lightrail. It was kinda urgent. You guys can't help if you get backed up, but the Walgreens system needs reworked. Your employees are great, your system is pretty shitty. Every star I have to give goes to your awesome hard workers with great attitudes who put up with a lot of crap (I was kind of rude to Ahmaad and I apologize man), but the system gets like 2 stars because it worked with my insurance for like half the transaction and also it turns on. I'm a CVS guy myself, but I don't mind this Walgreens. Most of the people are nice that work here and I never feel like I'm inconveniencing someone when they check me out. There is long-haired gentleman I always have the urge to high-five cause' he just looks like that kind of guy. I do wish the tall man with the mustache would quit trying to sell me newspaper subscriptions though. I always feel like I'm dodging a bullet when he's not posted at the front entrance with his passbooks spread-out on his table like he just can't wait to spread the gospel. I had scheduled an appointment at 3:15pm for a drive up covid test. I had arrived on time and called the number as prompted. I was told someone would be sent out shortly, however, after 20 minutes had passed, I still had not seen anyone come out in order to do the test. Therefore, I called again and informed the worker that I was still waiting for my test. He apologized for the inconvenience and told me that he had spoke to the manager and someone would be out shortly. More time had passed, at this point it was 3:45 and I still had not gotten any service. I decided to call one last time, as I understand what it is like to be short staffed, and he assured me, yet again, that someone would be out shortly. Once 4:00 had hit, I simply left with no test. Service here is terrible and, although the man on the phone was super apologetic, waiting nearly an hour for a scheduled test is a little ridiculous. read more

So, time is 10:20pm, and its friday, 9/30/16. I could walk, but I chose to save a little energy by riding my bike. Now im used to other employees letting me leave my bike up front when i ride it, and that's understandable. I've had 2 1000 dollar bikes stolen in Tempe. They hack sawed a u bolt lock. Im not getting my last bike stolen from me. I come into this shit storm almost on a regular basis. The only girl actually putting in some effort around this time, isn't even old enough to sell liquor. Now for some reason the pale skin, soul-less, ginger, wanted to refuse service to me for simply exercising. I don't know if it's because he's never touched a bike, or what. But when I asked for the manager, first off there was nobody in the store but him and the manager, he got all pissy and refused to talk to me. All over a bike... all this over a bike and me wanting some ice cream. I see little to no customer service at this time. I'd be firing people if I were a manager. I am not really a Walgreen shopper, I usually like CVS the best. Why because, of the CVS card, good sales and all the great coupons they put out. I am not crazy about the CVS pharmacy though, as I use Target Pharmacy, you just cannot get better than them. Anyway, I needed some photos copied. Old Photos from the 70's. CVS had told me on a previous visit that they had a scanner that could copy them. We went there to take care of this yesterday and CVS scanner was not working. I finally had to ask for help. That is when I found out no worky. Anyway enough about them let us get back to Walgreens. I went to the Photo Dept. I was lucky enough to have 2 very nice people help me here. One was John, who explained how everything worked on the machine and stood there and helped me every step of the way until I could do it myself. The 2nd guy, was younger but, I forgot his name, he too was great and very helpful. They even had nice stools that you could sit on while making your choices on the computer and scanner. Which was great because, it took me over an hour to do it. My photos came up just when they said they would. An excellent job, I might add. I was very happy with the results. Whilst there we also got a Walgreens Reward card, something I had never had there before. Convenient spot, lots of parking. Right on the corner so you can enter from both roads. Southern and McClintock. They say they are open 24 hours which could really come in handy, and I did notice the store was very clean. Which is nice. read more

I have been a customer at this Walgreens for over 15 years. The quality of the staff has gone back and forth during that time. But I had an experience this evening that needs to be recorded. Roxeanne was rude and condescending during my transaction. I would not post a bad review under just any circumstances. But, she was what I would call "flippant". She was snotty and disrespectful. She is not someone that I feel Walgreens really wants as the "face" of their company. read more

They always have the friendliest people in the pharmacy and they're extremely helpful. On my first prescription pick up (ever) I didn't have my insurance and a pharmacist gave me advice and tips on how to get free coupons on prescriptions or reimbursements which was very helpful! I continue to go to this location because it's 24/7 but that's all they have going for them. I would love to meet whoever is in charge and know what kind of training process they go through. They mess something up every single time, this time they gave me the wrong medicine, last time they gave me one bottle and I'm the computer said they gave me three so that when I went for another refill they said no because I had gotten a 3 month supply. They had to count inventory to check if I was telling the truth and I had to wait a couple days for their mistake. Besides all the mess ups that happen constantly I always get attitude. Extremely disrespectful staff and they act like it's my fault when they fuck up.... someone needs to train them in communication skills and... how to be pharmacists. read more

I have been using this location for a few years now, and gradually the customer service has been getting worse and worse. I have finally reached my breaking point in the past few months. From the excessive wait times both inside and in the drive through (sometimes when there are no other customers waiting), to the staff's utter indifference toward customer satisfaction (I have too many examples to list here), to the mix ups and misinformation that has resulted in me having to make way too many extra trips, I would say move on and find another pharmacy. Unfortunately, I HAVE to use Walgreens as per my health insurance, but I have found a new location 2 miles from this one that is 24 hours with a drive through, and I have to say so far that the difference is remarkable. read more

This is a great Walgreen's. It's open 24 hours, has a very helpful Pharmacist, Photo Center, and the staff is very pleasant. I live just down the street from this Walgreen's and even though I don't go there often, every time I do it's a pleasant experience. One of the things I like best is that if the cashier gets a little busy they immediately call for assistance and open another cash register. There is nothing worse than standing in a long line with only one check stand open. Thank you for providing good customer service. read more

I was really trying to avoid this, I don't like giving bad reviews. This is the 4th time I've been to this location in about a month and every single time it's taken upwards of 10 minutes to check out here. There is always a line whether it's 8am or midnight. It's frustrating to run in for one thing and ALWAYS have to wait that long. I've never seen them open another line either. The cashiers are really friendly, I'll give them that, but have no sense of urgency. Two stars for being open 24 hours, just not worth the wait though. I'll drive the extra mile to the CVS on Broadway if I need anything after 10pm. read more

The store side is good but the pharmacy is the worst . Poor attitudes and customer service from the techs . It's almost as if they are annoyed that you're making them work . I waited in line 30 minutes with one car ahead and once I got to the window I waited another 15 minutes because the tech put my information in wrong . I despise going to this Walgreens. There is always a wait of at least five minutes to even talk to someone. Today was the last straw. I was told by one employee in order to drop off my Rx I had to have my ID. I drove home to grab it, not happy about the situation because I have NEVER had to have my ID to just drop off a RX. When I came back with my ID to drop off the RX I wasn't even asked for my ID by the new employee assisting me. Didn't complain, just needed them filled so I could get home and rest and recover from sinusitis and the flu. All in all though a Ridiculous waste of my time. I dropped off the RX and was told 30-35 minutes. What happened to 20 minute wait times? An hour later I received a text stating it was ready for pick up. What happened to the time frame? Went to pick up my RX. Had to wait in line although no one was in line or at the counter being helped. When the friendly gentlemen (although the one who sent me home to get my ID when I didn't need it) finally started looking for my 3 RXs for pick up it took him another few minutes. He looked frantic trying to find a misplaced one. You could tell he was over worked and they were obviously understaffed. He finally found the last RX (how they misplaced one from the other two in an hours time is beyond me). After ringing me up he explained how to use the medications. The guy had the hardest time even finishing a sentence. You could tell his mind was on the other 30 things he was behind in doing. Walgreens, my advice to you is to learn how to staff correctly. Oh, I forgot to mention, when I finally walked out of the store there was 7 people in the pharmacy line and about 15 in the front 2 checkouts. Done with this place read more

We visit this location almost exclusively for the pharmacy. Only once did the wait exceed reasonable expectations. We use the drive up just as much as the walk in portion of the pharmacy and they seem to manage both lines well. While at the inside pharmacy counter, staff will ring up any items that you might be shopping for along with your prescriptions, which is nice. All walgreens accept Pay which is also very nice, to speed up the checkout process. Parking never seems to be a problem even during rush hour times. Conveniently on the corner we can always get in and out with no problems. read more

As a retired Physician I cannot believe how the pharmacist treat's patient's and she care's les wheteher you get a prescription that you have to have or not. I'm glad its 24 hours nothing more frustrating that them opening at 8 when most people commute before that. they always have what i need, and some things i don't need, damn you cream soda. also its nice to know you can get sunscreen at 5am, or other items late at night like cold meds or anything really. read more

Good luck with that photo department. Went in scanned a photo of my Mother to be used at her funeral. Showed the guy behind the counter what I was scanning, and asked about the poster sized photos, and other questions about how fast I could get it. My father goes in to pick it up, and is given a hard time over copyright issues. Maybe if the guy who was helping me the night prior let me know that I would have selected a different photo of her. In the end, the manager was helpful, and fixed the problem. BUT at the point where that happened my Father had to demand a manager to come over. All of this could have been avoided by better customer service the night prior. I have used Walgreens for all of my photos from my wedding, christmas cards, etc. and will never use them again. read more

I dropped my prescription off for my son around 9pm they told me it would take about 45mins. So came back a hour later and I waited in the drive-thru for over 20mins for them to realize his insurance covers his meds. They never came to the window to let me know what was going on, just 20mins later telling me i had to pay $75 when this is not the first time I filled meds there for him. Walgreens, the giant, the evil empire, and the villain of the pharmacy world. As an employee of this company, I've seen the worst of their motives which is the bottom line. They claim to be champions of wellness, and compassion but they are anything but. Everything from the snooty pharmacists and technicians, to the photo shop geeks, and the maniacal eyed makeup lady this drug store chain in the ultimate FAIL. I don't think CVS is any better, but the point is, these big pharmacy companies have replaced decent customer service with bottom lines, turning their stores into mechanical factories that want to get customers in and out as fast as they can. Their slogan is " Be Well" and you will almost always hear it from their employees, but it's sort of odd coming from a pharmaceutical distributor who's soul reliance is for you to NOT be well. Furthermore, they pay their beloved employees garbage, are so strict and hard in their employees it seems they took a page right out of the Chinese business ethic...work them to the bone, I've them no leeway, and pay as minimum as possible because hey; these people are desperate for jobs anyway. In closing, I recommend staying away from these large chain pharmacies in favor of grocery store pharmacies where they know you on a first name basis, they are less crowded, and many times just as cheap. read more

This pharmacy is a travesty and should be shut down. First I was told they did not have my prescription and I could get it at another Walgreens on Baseline. Baseline runs nearly the entire length of Phoenix and the East Valley, they couldn't tell me anything more specific. Then they said it would be $200 since my insurance did not cover it. WHen I questioned this and spoke with a supervisor, surprise surprise, they actually did have what I needed and it was covered and it cost me $10. But the big issue is all the other customers I encountered in the 30-45 minute period of attempting to get my prescription. One woman had been told Walgreen's Pharmacy had tried to contact her doctor for 3 weeks to verify her prescription and when she asked her doc's office, no one from Walgreens had ever called. Another man on line was shaking his head and when he got to the counter he relayed that they had lost his blood pressure medication a number of times. Yet another customer was walking up and down the drive in line looking under cars and all around because Walgreens had lost some of his paper work. A Walgreens employee came out and found it laying on the ground by a car in line. All this in one afternoon. I asked for the Pharmacy Mgr.'s phone and name. I was given it but when I called, I was told he was on vacation for 2 weeks. Finally, I called corporate headquarters. This is totally outrageous. This is people's health that is being dealt with and there is absolutely no excuse for this degree of incompetence. Something is terribly wrong at this story. read more

Tried to get a Rx filled at this location. Had a free 30 day coupon. They did not know how to process it. I was called the next day and was told it was ready. Tried to pick it up and they wanted me to pay full retail price ($300 dollars). I asked why did not bill it to the coupon provided. No answer just a stupid look. Called back several days later and they had no recored of the Rx. Was told I needed to provide a new Rx as they lost it. I found this very upsetting. Had to call my doctor to get a new Rx and was going to return but I thought I would try another Pharmacy. Took it to Fry's, OMG what a difference in customer service. They processed the Rx in about an hour. They said the order was very simple. With my filled Rx went back to Walgreens and confronted them on this issue. Again got the stupid look. Got a lot of excuses on what went wrong. Bottom line, find anyone else other than Walgreens to fill your Rx!!!!!! read more
