I like Walgreen's. The people are friendly on Venice Ave and Tamiami Trail. I have prescriptions there and get photos made. During the season, at certain times of day, lines can get long. I just come back at a less busy time. I get in and out fast and they don't bother me. I switched to Walgreens from another brand because the other was really annoying me all day long dinging my phone and Walgreens does not do that. I like the people there. read more

The pharmacy is often short staffed. The wait times are high and the customer service is not what I expect from Walgreens. They don't usually work together to help customers. It's stressful to pick up medications there. read more

It's a Walgreens- and is virtually identical to every other one across the country. If you're here from out of town, you can safely shop here for your health and beauty necessities. Nothing exceptional but nothing bad either. I would have rated this place higher, but their toothbrush selection was simply sub par. I was looking for a basic full head firm bristle brush. Like most pharmacies, you have come to expect a wide range of brands, sizes, and prices. This place had no more than 10 total brushes to choose from. I asked the manager for assistance and he stood blankly (and somewhat awkwardly) at me for 30 seconds. He finally blurred out "I don't think we have that" and walked away. Two stars for a poor selection and a weird shopping experience. read more

The staff at this store have been good until recently. The clerks are helpful. The store lead and management are rude and condescending to their clerks and customers. There was a cashier in need of help from management and she called 4 times. One manager came. Gave her a quick response and left. There were 3 managers on duty. I asked to speak with one about a mistake on my $228 purchase and the manager told me he would cancel the order but he is too busy to explain to me what he could do to fix the issue. We cancelled our prescriptions and went to the Publix Pharmacy next door. I don't know if it's low pay, bad management or a combination thereof, but customer service is non-existent. I complement and would highly recommend Pharmacist Amanda and Customer Service Associate Nancy. Upon arriving in Florida on business I realized I'd forgotten my Insulin and syringes which are both filled by the VA and impossible to get refilled immediately. They went over and above what was expected .Amanda gave me my best options to meet my needs for my stay in Fl. obtained necessary scripts from my Dr in NJ and in short order filled my extremely necessary Lantus ( not sold over the counter) and needles. read more

We walked around together and ended up filling my bag with different items depending on my needs and requests. She had great recommendations and coupons to offer and ready to scan for me. I wouldn't even give this pharmacy one star! They are so slow. They talk among themselves about customers so all can hear. What got me the most upset was an opinionated older lady working in the pharmacy. I am a two time breast cancer survivor. I do walk in the St Louis Komen Race for the Cure and had on one of my survivor T-shirts when I came to pick up a script. She saw my shirt and said she didn't like the Komen organization and thought the director made too much money. How dare her give an opinion like that to me! So uncalled for! The customer service is terrible! I waited in line for over 20 minutes for them to tell me my stuff wasn't ready after 2 hours when they originally said 20 minutes. The woman was rude and the pharmacist was even worse! I'll never go back again! read more

The absolute worst pharmacy, long lines for prescriptions. Last month I needed a new glucose meter, test strips and lancets; picked up test strips and lancets was told the meter was on back order and would be available in 3 days. 4 trips later waiting in long lines I was told the meter was no longer available and they could not take back the strips or lancets because of Florida law! So I am stuck with $110 of test strips that I can't use in any other meter because they don't match. Today I picked up a bunch of prescriptions, after waiting behind 9 other poor souls, paid with my credit card. When I got home I found out the new strips for the new meter were $299.00; went back to the store to ask why they were so much; waited in line again and was told that my plan did not cover them!!! Why not tell a customer if an item is not covered? So I go home call my insurer and find out they are covered but by a different department than prescriptions, the pharmacist could have very easily done the same. read more
