Everything was kept neat and organized. Employees were friendly and helpful. I found a Saatva memory foam pillow, which was $70. Normally, these sell above $100. I have not been sleeping well on my 3 year old memory foam pillow, so was please to find this one. This store also has a good jewelry department. The lady working there was extremely helpful as we looked for sterling silver chains (not plated ones). She had told me because of the high price of sterling, they were not getting as many as previous times. Recommended!

I told her to apply the 15%. She asked me if I put my phone number in. I said I did. She rings me up and then said, I know you don't qualify for the 15%, but I gave it to you anyway. How would SHE KNOW this, when she did not ask for ID? I then said I DO QUALIFY for this. Do you want to see my ID? She said no. I didn't want to offend you. If she didn't want to offend me, she should not have said anything. So, so UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I was so taken back by this. She basically was calling me a liar. I hope BEALLS will have a training session with ALL of their employees to ensure this NEVER happens AGAIN!!!!!

At checkout, Liza walked around her station, behind me, to select items that were heavy to charge first. Then, she went to the bag turnstyle and took bags over to bag there - FROM THE CONVEYER BELT. WTH? I asked why and she said I didn't put the heavy stuff up front which is how it should be bagged (so it's first in the cart and lighter stuff on top.) This was so inconvenient and slow that I told her, I'll figure it out and to not worry about it. When she started bagging my meats separately, I said, "don't worry about doing that, I don't need a lot of extra bags." So she began putting A TON of stuff in each bag so that there was literally no handles left to pick up the bags. This is just ONE damn thing I'm pissed off about at Walmart today. I'll write another review later.

I was working in the same Shopping Plaza as the Venice location of Tuesday morning, and decided to go in and walk around during my lunch break. When I walked in, I was greeted by the employee behind the counter, the setup was much more welcoming in the air inside the store was just cleaner. I recalled going into the Port Charlotte location, and thinking how dark, drab, and dusty out seemed. The Venice location seems much more brighter, cleaner, and much more well laid out as far as items throughout the store. Actually had a lot more stuff that I considered purchasing or did purchase before leaving, unlike the other location or you practically had to hold me back from running out. The Port Charlotte store made me want to swear off Tuesday morning, and never go back inside one.
