Do not buy Amazon gift cards from this Walgreens location. I purchased three $50 gift cards just before Christmas and all of them were tampered with. It was virtually impossible to see that the packaging was sliced open and the redemption codes exposed. This tells me that either the employees are in on it or no one is paying attention to the gift card racks. Thankfully Amazon came through for us, but I will never buy another gift card from this location again. read more

Never get perception in on time. Have called ahead MULTIPLE times & every time they do not have it ready. Attitude from the employees when I ask why I'm told it's ready for pick up & it's not there. This pharmacy SUCKS!!!!! read more

I've used this pharmacy many times over the years. The pharmacy continues to be a disappointment. I call for a refill on a prescription three or four times before I actually get the prescription. The store can care less about customer service and the employees would prefer to get their point across rather than serve the needs of the customers. read more

The pharmacy is terrible! Rude staff and zero customer service. When asked to speak to the manager she was zero help. Waited an hour and a half to pickup and they didn't fill the prescription when the Dr called for the second time they had the nerve to say I can wait. read more

My husband received a transplant 20 years ago. Prior to that he was on many esoteric meds. Now he's on more esoteric meds. WaWa (as we call it) has always provided excellent knowledgeable service. We are satisfied customers for 40 years. read more

The pharmacy is terrible. It took me over 30 min once in the drive through for an automatically filled order. Another received a call to let me know my order was delayed and I would get a phone call when it was ready and they never called me back. I will be calling my doctor to have my prescription transferred as soon as possible. read more

The pharmacy workers here are extremely lazy and don't have any basic product knowledge. Everytime I had a question about a certain product, they would give me just a yes/no answer without elaborating. I knew more than they did. However, other reps in the store and management are pretty helpful. Overall, Walgreens as a company does not aim at keeping their prices low in comparison to other retail pharmacies. This store is only good for extremely urgent shopping needs, such as on major holidays when you are out of milk or whip cream:) read more

I've found that this pharmacy is okay for prescriptions that are fairly routine: things like amoxicillin, ibuprofen, etc. With that being said, I've never had more problems with a Walgreen's than I have with this one! These days, Walgreen's pharmacies seem to be pretty automated. When I put a prescription in at, say, the Buffalo Grove location, I get a text and an automated call as soon as it's ready. At this one, I get a text about 50% of the time. I get a call about a day later. I've learned that, when I use them, I call them about 15 minutes after the prescription is put in and ask them when it will be ready. However, this does not always work. Last time, I got a prescription filled for my son for amoxicillin here. I called, and their automated service told me that the prescription was in and would be ready in about 2 hours. I got a pharmacist to see if we could get it sooner, and she told me (rather emphatically) that there was no prescription, even though her system told me there was. Then, I got a text 20 minutes later telling me it was ready... This is a recurring problem. I've called numerous times to find out that they never got the prescription; I've called numerous time to find out they don't carry the particular prescription, but no one called me to tell me; I've even had them tell me that they thought it was for a different location and passed it to them, before. Basically, this is the worst-managed pharmacy I've seen in a long time. I only use it for recurring prescriptions that I know it can handle (and have no time crunch), or for simple prescriptions that I am sure they have to deal with all the time. If you can use a different pharmacy, I highly recommend doing so. read more

I always get great service. I just wish they'd call when they didn't have the medication in stock instead of having me find out when I go pick up the prescription expecting it to be ready. Then I have to do a last minute scramble to other pharmacies to get the medication. I love the Express Pay. It makes getting in and out very quick and easy since I never have to get out a credit card or cash. read more

I have gone to this Walgreens for about 20 years. I personally have had awesome service every time. Never a prescription problem, they have always done what they could to get me my prescriptions. I can't speak for every one else who's had issues I myself have never been disappointed. read more

The wait for prescriptions is crazy!! Went thru the drive-thru and pulled in around 7:15. At 7:35 someone finally came to the window. The lady then came back and told me it would be 5 to 10 more minutes for a prescription that was called in 3 hours ago! She told me to circle back around. I explained I had sat there 20 minutes already and she gave me attitude saying, " well we are doing what we can and just circle back around". There was a huge line of cars behind me and people in the inside lobby, but there seemed to be no sense of "urgency". I have never had to wait so long at a Walgreens let alone a drive-thru window at a Walgreens for medicine. Absolute worse service! read more

Walgreen's in Wauconda is wonderful!! I've never had any difficulty at the Pharmacy or the shopping are.

If I could give negative stars, I would. They are ABSOLUTELY horrible. Refused to run my daughter's ssn for her insurance. The medicine I needed was 172 out of pocket. I had o choice but to pay. Contacted my insurance who said they violated their contract by not taking the ssn. When I called to go back and get a refund they offered a gift card!!!! We need food! It's their mistake. After 50 years shopping at Walgreens I will never go back! I need the money for food!!!! Corporate and store manager where useless. They said it will be days before I even hear back!!!! RUN FAST TO CVS!!!!!! I've invested hours on this issue. 45 minutes on hold, an hour in the store!!!!! WOW! And they still couldn't figure out how to do it! 2 more weeks pasta and rice for every meal, at least! Thank you walgreens!!!! I will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY. SCAMMERS!!! This store has been going down hill for the past two years I am not sure if all the Walgreens operate this way but if they do they are in trouble. where to start The Pharmacy it used to be one of the best but that has long gone away, the staff to me is at times over worked and under trained, they constantly run out of medications (I had three) the automated phone system calls me to tell me to refill I press ok then get a call its ready so I go through the drive through and they look it up and have no clue so they say we can fill it but will need three days. I say ok but what if it was something critical? the computers are down a lot. they have such a high rotation there (they must not pay them too well) so you always get a rookie that doesn't know you or what to do. just bad overall. I am thinking of switching to jewel its that bad. read more

Called and asked if i could pick up my refilles at the pharmacy. I was told it would be a few hour wait. I found this to be unrealistic as ive been getting the same prescriptions my entire life and have never had to wait more then 20 min max. I asked if i could have the prescription so i could take it down the road to another pharmacy that could get me in and out in 10 min. I was told no they would have to electronically send it to another pharmacy and this would also take a few hours. That my only choice was to wait. As i sit here now waiting there is 1 car in drive threw and only me in the waiting area. So 2 custemers. At least 5 people behind counter. How they cant fill 3 simple prescriptions in a decent time is beyond me. As soon as my prescription has run out here i will never come to this store again. read more
