Can't seem to get in touch with anyone to get this rectified. Follow up: The manager reached out and although he disagreed with me, he said he would provide a credit on our card. That's good customer service.

I ended up placing the extra towels down to shower which worked out fine. We ended up adding breakfast which is served adjacent to the restaurant. Pricey, but worth it. Two large buffet areas with just about anything you could want, plus made to order egg dishes upon request. Service at the breakfast area was extremely good, with employees constantly cleaning and replenishing. Besides the bed being a bit hard and slightly lumpy, my only other real issue was with the AC in our room. While you could feel cool air coming out, it would never bring our room temp down enough for me. Overall a good stay. Pleasant staff and lovely facilities. I would definitely stay here again.

Since it is away from the major touristy areas, you will notice it is a lot quieter. You will also see more local spots nearby too. They do have 2 options for parking a car. You can park directly under the hotel or in an outdoor lot down the street. Honestly this hotel lobby, the rooms, and the fitness center surprised me in a great way! Yes, your bathroom is right there, in that glass pod. The windows were incredible! I had a lovely city view that I could adjust to any amount of light due to the slatted curtains. And because our building had (the very rare) AC, the windows did not open to outdoor air, which is a shame, the nights were cooler than the room got and I was hot flashing. We had a king-size bed, up against the window, a desk and television, a sink and refrigerator and a closet space. The room was as wide as the bed is long. Blew my mind. The staff was most courteous, the check in folks especially. Bar staff was awesome and they know how to draw a great cappuccino too. I can't wait until we get to travel back to Switzerland and get to stay here again. It's so central to everything and made getting to places a breeze.

Staff was nice, but not overly helpful for travelers trying to figure out things like the local train schedule. Train station closer-by, easy walk. Rooms were just OK. Cutesy little safe handles on all the doors. Not located in the best part of the city, but safe. Our main criticism of the hotel (like the review of the restaurant there) is that they allow smoking in the building. We get it, in Europe smoking is much more of a thing than in the U.S., but the Kameha Grand was the only hotel we visited in two weeks that allowed smoking indoors. The hotel would claim "it's only a section in the restaurant." That may well be, but it's like the early attempts to segregate non-smokers in U.S. restaurants into a different section, no walls, no fans, no filtration system, just a separate area. That's the Kameha Grand. Apparently management is obvious to the spread of cigarette smoke throughout the building. It smelled like a casino with no ventilation. For the price, you have to do better than that. If you're a heavy smoker, Kameha Grand is your kind of place. For a non-smoker, we cannot recommend you stay there.

The weather was chilly outside, so we were able to open the window a bit for fresh air at night with no issues. Everything we decided to do (including the Christmas markets) were within walking distance. The bar on the main floor specializes in gin from several countries. If you're a gin drinker, highly recommend you take a look at their menu and try one (or a few). Each gin has a recommended pairing for a tonic and garnish, and the ones I tried were delicious. This was our first time staying in this brand of hotel, and I wish they would have let us know there were perks for our stay when joining the loyalty club. We only found out on our last day, by reading a sign at the bar. Would recommend this property and we're excited to visit their other locations during our future travels!
