office never can answer a phone call no matter what. Dr Walker is rude and acts like he knows your body more than you do.

I have been with lrmc since 2008, recently located to columbia sc and work virtual only coming into…read moremyrtle once a month. During the move my office was told we would be merging with another company and that our insurance might change. During this time I need to see a pcp in my near area but due to not knowing if my insurance will change and having to change pcp again I asked my provider Meredith dammers if she would help me with one moth supply while I wait till my insurance has been updated to find a new provider. I'm not own any narcotics just diabetes medication, blood medication and anxiety. Instead of just helping me with a month she says no. I'm completely disgusted by this dr and little river medical center. All we customers are are paychecks and nothing else. They do not follow the Hippocratic oath and it shows.

Little River Medical Center Little River Location…read more I began calling Monday, February 3rd to reschedule an appointment after they rescheduled me twice. I left a message for a return call because the lines were so busy. As of February 6th, I had not received a return call. I had to call back to try to speak with someone and wait on the line for a lengthy period again. This has been my experience every time I call needing anything. If I am sick, I must make an appointment for 2-3 days later, nothing for the same day for sick patients. The doctors at this practice are wonderful but their scheduling center is horrible. I asked for a referral to a neurologist at one of my last appointments. After a week, I called the neurology clinic to where they supposedly referred me. The office said they had not received anything from my primary care doctor. I called LRMC back and requested the referral again. After 4 weeks, I finally was able to get the referral to find out I was referred to a neurologist that only specializes in headaches, not at all what I needed. The practice said that is what LRMC told them I needed. I gave up on them getting me the correct referral. A second visit my doctor suggested seeing a Oththo and said she would call in a referral. That was before Thanksgiving. That office has yet to get the referral from LRMC--almost 3 months later. Recently, I tried to see my Dr. for possible COVID or the flu...as always when calling sick, was told I needed to make an appointment and it would have to be in 2 days. I went to Low Country Urgent Care in Loris and was seen. I had to be seen two more times by the Urgent Care for ongoing problems with this sickness because I could not be seen by my practice when needed. At one of the appointments with Low Country Urgent Care, they were the ones who finally referred me to the other specialists I need to see. Needless to say, you are only as good as the front line for your practice. I will be looking for another place to take my business as a patient.

Dr. Lisa Adams Mount, is one of the best Doctor's in the area. We have been going to her for 15…read moreyears and could not recommend her caring treatment more highly.

Called several days ago and spoke to the Triage nurse advising her of my symptoms. Was advised…read more there was nothing else I could do for symptoms then I was already doing. She also advised she had "it" for 4 weeks. (Do I care?) Also advised. couldn't help me until I had a fever of 101! Called back again yesterday because the symptoms had become increasingly worse and now my eyes were swollen almost shut. No sleep for days since my sinus' wouldn't allow me to lay down and sleep. Throat was still sore. Triage nurse informed me she would speak to Dr. Overton and call me back. By 3pm the following day I still hadn't heard from her. When I called the office she informed she called my house at 9:05am and there was no answer. Believe me I was home and very sick. She said she didn't leave a message on the machine. Obviously if she did call at all, she called the wrong number. Both my husband and myself were home. (I was too sick to be going anywhere) I don't consider myself a "Whimp". I've worked "mens" jobs right along side lineman at a Gas and Electric Corporation before retirement. I never expected help and would not accept assistance. I know when I'm sick and I feel I've been blown off. What she told me at this point was "the doctor said you can come in but he doesn't know what he can do for you". Well, that certainly did stir up my confidence. Wouldn't that depend on how my throat looked? Is a sore throat for 7 days "normal"? Time for a more professional Health Center.
