From the onset of the conversation, he was very rude and short with me as if he was agitated that I called him. He initially asked me what my concern was, so I told him, then he told that I was "silly" to call a lawyer to discuss a contract that he hasn't seen. Beyond calling me names, he asked, "So what is your purpose for calling, what are you trying to do here?". I politely informed him that I was simply trying to see if there was something that I could do and that I understood that he couldn't give me any concrete advice without seeing the contract. I also informed him that I could send him the contract and we could set up a virtual meeting to review it together. He proceeded to go on a rant about how people send him things and he may look at them or he may not. I asked him why he seemed to be upset with me and why was he calling me names like "silly" at which time he stated, "I tried to get you to come in but you refused". I told him that i didn't refuse and I actually called for that reason, but that he asked me about the situation so I told him. This is when he told me to go argue with another lawyer and hung up. I am a pretty reasonable person, however this is the worst experience I have ever had with anyone on the phone. He was rude the entire duration of the phone conversation. He wouldn't listen to what I was asking without first assuming why i calling and ridiculing me for it. Rather than match my calm voice, he hung up on me. Honestly, if I could give him less than 1 star I would. This experience has made me really worried and concerned to speak to another lawyer. Being an African American male, I refuse to use the "race card" in this situation to explain this treatment. I really feel that he would speak this way to anyone.
