We hired Walker painting to paint 2 bedrooms. One room had wallpaper on 2 walls. Sal was very good at communicating and understanding our needs. We had to have our floors sanded and refinished first prior to having the painting done. The floors came out perfect. Walker came exactly on the day they said they would and went to work. They did use tarps on all our newly finished flooring. There were a few issues that Sal was quick on remediating. The rooms came out beautiful. In hindsight though, I would have asked for them to put plastic protection on the wood floors before the tarps. After all was done, we noticed swirls in figure 8's on the one floor. We tried cleaning, but it was apparent that it was wiped by painter and left a residue that would not come out. We had the floor guy investigate and agreed that it was some sort of residue and said probably from the cloth they used to wipe. We had to have the floor buffed and another coat of poly and now it is perfect. I didn't report of Walker though, since I figured they were already paid and because of the off gassing, we didn't go into rooms and notice the swirls until about 3 weeks after. But this wouldn't stop us from using Walker again!! They did a great paint job! read more

I needed to save a little bit of money so I had to remove a few rooms from the painting job and I feel like for the price they could've done a little better for me. Last job they did they were dumping the dirty water or something from their bucket down the drain in my basement bathroom. How do I know? My ejector pit motor was running every 10 seconds for several minutes straight. There was dirty water all over my bathroom floor the painter did not clean up and water splashed all over the bathroom walls. I ended up finding out my check valve was damaged but cannot prove it was due to the nonstop dumping of whatever was being flushed in my basement bathroom. I suspect a good chance it was. I should have kept a closer eye on the painter and took pictures of the mess they made. Never having them return again. read more

What an amazing job! We're absolutely thrilled with the work they did, and the entire process. We had our home drywalled floor to ceiling to update the old wood paneling that was there prior. Dave walked us through everything start to finish coming back multiple times on the fly to help answer any questions we had. The name of this company really should be "Walker Wall Repair and Painting," because owner Dave Walker and his team do a lot more than just paint your walls. My family and I recently bought an old house in Nassau County and every room looked old and dilapidated because of serious problems with the walls and ceilings that required a lot more than just a coat of paint. Walker did a magical job transforming our old walls into new ones. We had some rooms with old lumpy plaster walls that looked like they were made out of rotten paper mache and they skim coated to make them look like flat new drywall. We had a room where the walls were made out of ugly wood paneling straight from the Brady bunch era. Walker coated them so that they now look like fresh, flat drywall. We had stress cracks in the walls and ceilings, giant holes in closet walls, nail and screw holes everywhere and baseboard molding that had a gap in it so wide we could stick our fingers inside the wall.Walker fixed all of these. In short, they made our old house look new. Throughout the process, Dave and his team did an amazing job; he was always helpful and responsive and his group was extremely quick and efficient. While we invested quite a bit in the project overall, Walker was less expensive than other companies we got estimates from and Dave is the only person who talked about repairing the walls, not just painting them. Despite doing almost the whole house and doing some very serious skim coating and crack repairs, his team was done in about a week and a half. Dave was also really good at explaining why something cost what it did and at providing accurate estimates for the work. While other painters we talked to took days to even get back to us about a quote, Dave came on a Saturday and told us on the spot what each part of the project would cost and we immediately booked his team to start the following Wednesday. read more

If a new problem came up it was never a problem. They not only painted but they repaired my house. Walls, woodwork, dings were all part of the package.
