We happen to be on a floating dock which is great for Marco/Goodlands changing tides. Great for a few nights or long term. Full service marina makes it convenient to refuel, buy bait, repairs and more. All the staff are welcoming which makes it a fun trip!

We were very disappointed in our pontoon boat rental from this facility. We had a large party and…read morerented two pontoon boats. Only one boat was in relatively good condition. The other boat, while it did function to take us for the day, was in terrible shape and should be put to pasture or remodeled. The boat was not wiped down at all when we got there and all the seams were busted and the foam was rotted to the touch. You could not sit down without covering. We were offered no coverings and had to use all our towels to sit. There was what appeared to be mold on the seats and the flooring had to be swept out. The table was dusty mess. This place does not seem to care about the quality of the boats. We told one of the handlers on the dock and he gave us one towel to wipe the seats with but nothing to cover them. There was no GPS, no fuel gauge (they told us how much gas we used!) no depth finder, no horn (except for a whistle - not sure what that would prevent!). One of the props were bent. We voiced a complaint at the end and the lady was rude and dismissive. I would not recommend using this facility without prior inspection of the boats. We were not able to see the boats as we were from out of town. Plus the distance from Goodland to Keewaydin, Island much farther than if you rented from a Marco Is. marina. Thankfully the day turned out perfect notwithstanding the condition of the pontoon boat!

But if we're talking real talk, my dream has always been to find the Queen of conchs. The Florida state shell and that's exactly what I found! I couldn't have done it without help. Kim and Trevor were awesome tour guides. This memory is definitely one for the books. The shelling is amazing and you'll find all your favorites, from lighting welks to bandit tulips, to smaller conchs, to whole sand dollars. Kim was very knowledgable and Trevor was nothing shy of a good captain. I highly suggest taking this beautiful tour with the most awesome crew! I have done numerous boat trips in my lifetime, so I had something to compare this to. We took the…read more3.5 hour morning trip, which went around the islands and stopped at one for a brief walk. The boat was comfortable, and the ride was smooth. We were at low tide, so our captain had to be very cautious where he went. The mangroves are pretty, but once you saw 10 islands, it was probably enough. We got to see a few dolphins, and he got two of them to surf the boat waves which was fun. Our little stroll on the one island turned up a few interesting shells. Overall, I think the trip is too long as you just keep seeing the same things, island after island. There weren't really as many birds as I anticipated.

We went out a bit late but the guides (Andrew, aka Big Mamma) and Devon were amazing. So experienced and kind and fun and helpful. We went out and got in about an hour and a half before the weather turned stormy/lightning again, and we had to head back early. It was still a total blast and we were stunned when we learned they were offered a refund. Seriously, they have no control of the weather. So I didn't expect it. But their priority was 1) our safety, and 2) our fun. We will DEFINITELY come back. This was worth it. Thanks guys!
