Recently my son and daughter went in for a routine cleaning. First at the cleaning our images were viewed at a computer in the lobby where other patients' families were. We were told they both had cavities and would need to have follow up appointments. 3 weeks later my son went in for his cavity. He was given nitrous oxide without consent. They fixed his tooth with a crown. The evening of his fix and the next 3 days he complained of pain in a different tooth. His tooth also chipped Sunday evening. The office is of course closed Friday-Sunday. First thing Monday morning I called the office and asked for my son to be seen. They do not see patients on Mondays, I did request him to be seen the next day or as soon as possible. They did get me in the next day and my son had his tooth pulled, a spacer put in and again given nitrous oxide without my consent. After the procedure was done I was asked to checkout and pay and told Dr. Emilie would talk with me. I was brought back to a room where Dr. Emilie and one of her staff were. She asked me about my phone call with her staff and I explained what had been said, I honestly do not feel I was rude on the phone at all. She then goes on to tell me that my son's pain. My son's discomfort was not her fault but mine. She told me I was a NEGLIGENT mother and my husband, and I were negligent parents for not bringing our son into her office in a timely manner. She told me I caused my kid pain and for his tooth to chip. She looked me straight in the eyes and told me I was a negligent mother. She is cruel, heartless and completely unprofessional. I would absolutely never recommend my worst enemy to leave an office feeling like I did. My greatest joy in life and greatest priority is being a mother and I left there feeling in every way like a failure.

The staff really did interact how I imagined that they should, and they met my standards and exceeded them! They held a conversation and asked questions that made you think or they told funny jokes. They do a very well job at interacting with children! The building was clean and even though it was a house turned into a business l, they did a fantastic job at turning it into an office and the layout was fun. They treated me well in general and was ok that I am a little bit slower and doing what they asked me. They asked for my preferences and helped a lot.

I was wrongfully told I was unable to volunteer due to a non existing background check that was never performed on behalf of Good Shepherd. I was set for a meeting at 130 PM on a Tuesday and was informed to not show up on that same day at 0900 AM via email in which I was unaware of The email until later that evening. (After the meeting) I met with Amy and proceeded with the meet and greet and tour of the facility. As Amy mentioned nothing about the email she posted at 0900 AM, she then decided "I will go forward with your background check." With the intent, I have decided to be a blessing elsewhere and to provide my volunteer services as I have been a volunteer with hospice on and off for the past 7 years. I do not feel as if the compassion, grace and kindness was presented here at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan Kansas.

He was treated with kindness, compassion and dignity. My family and I were given every courtesy, afforded privacy, and were treated as if we were a welcome guest in a private home. The hospice was clean, beautifully decorated, quiet and every effort was made to make family members welcome. The time we spent at Hospice House with my father was brief, however we were never rushed or made to feel like we were imposing; a fine group of professional and compassionate health professionals made my fathers last days bearable.

I have a couple of success stories from this place, three separate Doctors;…read moreMost importantly, I must comment that the people here make the difference. I move often (military) and have been to several different chiropractic clinics, including those on post and available for service members. Hands down, the people here are the kindest, caring individuals I have been treated by. I genuinely feel that they care about my well being as well as that of my family who they have also treated. From the first day to several months later I have been impressed, and that includes the other staff, technicians, schedulers, etc. They are great with young children! It is a family friendly environment. First shout out; Dr. Moore. I workout hard, and struggle with a slight curvature of my middle back due to previous injury which also manifests as pain during my normal work duties. The care she gave, as well as the staff providing the muscle stimulation was outstanding. Such a good doctor, actually took the time to get to know me, like being treated by a family friend. Better than any other care I have received anywhere else. Pain relief, mobility and function to keep me going, I can't express enough. Dr. Baxter; I don't want to "grandstand". Burnout and chronic fatigue is often a fact of life for service members. But I also have family members and close friends working on-call and strenuous hours in the corporate world who face similar circumstances as well. Years of pushing past normal hours that so many in the work force face. Struggling for years with poor sleep, and loading up on caffeine and supplements wasn't going to cut it anymore. It had become the norm, and I was simply burnt out and considering a career change from a job that I had devoted myself to. By chance I heard about "Clear Mind" which is a form of Neuro-Feedback offered at the clinic. A friend of mine had recommended it as they were being treated and showing positive results. I was skeptical, but after only a few treatments I was sleeping soundly again like I hadn't in years! I continued treatment, and my sleep is finally back to normal. I'm having no trouble sleeping soundly throughout the night. Full 8 hours. It still amazes me how something so affordable and non-invasive helped me. Couple this from the care I received from a physician empathetic to my condition and genuinely cared about my treatment, not just another number to be ticked off. Truly a great experience. Finally, Dr. Gascon; The whole reason I started going to Nichols Chiropractic is that she was treating my family for months. They had such a positive experience, that they recommended I try the place out. So glad that I did, truly a positive experience. I hope I can find a place like this the next time we move.
