They did a great job installing my new AC they work with me with other problems I had

I needed a new system and they came in as lowest bid. They arrived on planned day and installed system. A couple months later the thermostat was messing up and i was without central air during summer in south texas. If you know you know. They took over a week to send somone. A year later i called for the yearly maintenance service to system. The tech arrived and said it was low on freon. He filled it and left and stopped working during summer again and i called for service. No one answered or responded for some time and when they did it took weeks to have someone come out. This company is a fraud! I contacted them in Oct of 2023 for the complete HVAC unit. As of today the inside unit has not been installed in spite of promises. Cecil and Cody promised that they would returned to installed the inside unit but has not also Ismael the sales guy charge me for cleaning the ducks which they have not! Ismael, the sales guy, wanted me to call the finance company MICROF to let them know that the job was finished so they could get paid. I stated to him that I was not going to do that because the job was not finished. They took it upon themselfs to call MICROF to let them know that they had finished the job so MICROF PAID THEM. They have not comminicated with me in spite of several emails that I have sent them nor have they returned my calls. They have gosted me completely. Caleb another employee took messages but again no return calls. FRADULENT COMPANY!!!!! Had to give one star bc it required a rating in order to submit!!!! read more

I have NEVER experienced such a lack of competency, lack of customer service, or These people are awful to deal with. Betty and Caleb will NOT take ownership of mistakes they make nor apologize for dropping the ball thereby leaving an elderly woman with a broken air conditioner in record heat for weeks. Our home warranty company uses them as a contractor...after Betty hung up on me when I questioned why it took them a week and a half to even submit their report to our home warranty company so the repair could be processed and parts ordered. What an amazing service! (Again!) Friendly, prompt, and reliable. Saved us us from a possibly miserable hot night! Johnny had the parts on his truck and diagnosed, & fixed our unit in less than an hour (maybe 30 min?) Wow! They even looked up our warranty to check if parts and/or service were covered. we are now entering our third week of trying to get our a/c repaired. We have a home warranty policy with American Home Shield. They contracted with Wallace who then subcontracted with another contractor. We have been given the run around by Wallace. We are not able to reach them by phone. They don't answer any of their phone numbers and have messages saying mailbox is not set up. American Home Shield has authorized part and repair but we've heard nothing. THESE PEOPLE ARE FAR FROM PROFESSIONALS!!! read more

Totally unresponsive - unless you're buying a new unit at full price. They are not a HVAC repair company - they are in the business of torturing people until they submit to buying a new HVAC. Had a new a/c unit installed 2 years ago. Within 2 months of installation we had water damage. They came & checked it out saying it was a maintenance issue. When we continued to have issues they wouldn't return our calls. We have finally had another company out to check the system and have found out that it was improperly installed -- unlevel, drip pan in wrong place, etc. Would never recommend this company read more

they deserve NO STARS. my claim was initially made JUNE 4th through my insurance company it is August 18th and my AC is still not fixed. I am a single mom with a once income household. I have a 1 year old and 5 year old. The house is literally 88-92 degrees during the day. The reason I even opened a ticket was because my ac unit outside had froze but when it thawed it worked and cooled normal. The company sent two young technicians who werent even prepared to check on my unit that is in the attic. These kids used a chair and stepped on my curtain rod to go in there WHICH THEY BROKE. You guys stated it was the coil needing replacing. The next day June 9th my home was cooling just fine but there was a leak in my ceiling from the air vent and I called and called you guys never answered . Called at least 100 times. Waited for the part 30+ days . The heat was unbearable that we could not stay there. I had to stay at hotels and with relatives when I had no more money for hotels. You guys scheduled me for the coil install July 6th and said there was an emergency and couldn't make it . You scheduled me July 7th and messaged that it was a two man job and no one would make it out . That was two days I missed work, two day I didn't get paid because you guys didn't show up. When you guys did come on July 10th, Juan came alone and did the job alone. No two men were needed. That afternoon on July 10th I had another leak from my vent. Mrs.Wallace stated it was condensation. A technician came again on July 14th and said everything was fine that it was just hot outside . But the vent was blowing hot air . He spent total of 10 mins in my home. Nothing was fine something was definitely wrong. That night I had another leak from the vent that lasted 12hours. I sent you videos and text messages to the 444 number that they have listed. THEY LEFT ME ON READ.. When I finally got through after my 100 calls Mr.Wallace answered and said NO ONE showed up to work but they he could possible send his son to fix. NO ONE CAME FOR THE LEAK. July17 American Home Shield sent another technician over because you weren't answering. They reported you put a coil for a mobile home which wasn't the right part for my unit which is why the ac isn't working properly. There was a pipe that was not properly connected. I had to do another recall and because they're the contractor who did the service initially it went back to you on July 17th. On July 24th I had to purchase two window units. I was tired of staying other places and it was hard with two young children. I don't have my central air running because what's the point. It's not cooling my home literally feels like the heater is on. If you are thinking of doing business with this company DONT. They're HORRIBLE. its AUG 18th and my unit is still not fixed. read more

I would NOT recommend this company at all. I requested service on jun 10 2023 and they have yet to repair my unit. They have no customer service skills . I have yet to receive a call from them telling me the status of my repair. They DO NOT keep you informed. So we contacted AHS September 19, 2022 because our A/C Unit is as blowing hot air. They sent Wallace's Heating and Cooling and all they ordered the part. After that it has been hell to communicate with them. They came by IDK how many times with the same excuse. Oh it's the wrong part. It is now August of 2023 and we are still without A/C. We finally got assigned another with another A/C company. They came said we need the whole condenser to be replaced and they will be back to complete the work. Honestly do not waste your time with Wallace. They do not answer phones, and literally do not know what's going on. I give them -000 stars. read more

After accepting the job to install three splits and removing the old one from the second floor the job was never completed. The splits were installed and the removal has not taken place. To date they refuse to respond to phone calls or texts to complete the job. Money paid but the job is not complete with no response. I have a string of text messages with no responses and his voice mail is full making it impossible to leave a voice message. Final comment would be don't use his service. read more

Well our a/c went out 5/25 and Mr Wallace was assigned for the repair on 5/27 by American Home Warranty (who is also terrible). Mind you, we are in peak summer months and humidity here in South Texas; about 100 degrees daily. It's been brutal. After he was was assigned, I tried to contact him and he didn't answer, he claimed he was busy which we understand but said he would call us back and he never did. I also wanted to know when he would be able to come out to service the a/c as I realized we are over 2 hours away from him but he stopped responding to my text messages. After speaking to warranty company I found out we had an appointment set for 6/2 at 8am. Again I called/ text him the day before to confirm and also received no response. Then 6/2 at 8:30 am I called and he finally answered claiming he was being audited and it could be 2 hours or 2 days before he could come out. I then called hw company and they told me he couldn't go out due to weather. For me, it's the lack of response and respect he's shown me as a customer. Perhaps if he doesn't want to take calls for warranty companies then he should not be in contract with them for his services. He's shown no empathy for us and our situation with my small children doing virtual learning and me having to work from home. This person however has terrible customer service and does not deserve your business. read more

I have First American Home Warranty who are contracted with Wallace's Heating and cooling. They made an appointment to send someone out to check on my A/C unit to check why its running all the time but doesn't cool and some of the rooms are a lot hotter than others. I get a call on a date and time that the workers are 10 minutes away and I'm confused because it's earlier than the appointment date scheduled but shuffle around my schedule at the drop of the hat to take this impromptu appt. They tell me unit is running fine nothing is wrong. Not checking in the attic or any of the rooms that the temperature is smoldering while others are a more tolerable temperature. They tell me the a/c could use a rinsing from the inside and they will file a claim with the home warranty for that. It's been over 1 month and I haven't heard any follow up. They haven't even filed any claim with the home warranty. I called the home warranty to ask them to send another a/c contractor. I would not do business with them. No communication. read more

American home shield contracted this company to come to my home and fix my AC ducts. Before they got there, I told him that there was no access to the attic. They came anyways. When Wallace AC got to my home they said they could not do anything because there was no access to the attic. They would speak to American home shield to make a plan about getting into the attic. Wallace AC makes a new appointment with me. I take off work for the 2nd time. Again Wallace AC told me they cannot do anything because there is no access to the attic that they would contact American home shield to fix the problem. They will schedule another appointment. (I end up making my own access to the attic) I could clearly see that the small duct that goes to my bathroom that comes off the main duct had come enjoined from the main line and was laying on the side unattached. Wallace AC sends out the Tec again (I have to take off work for the 3rd time)) they only send one person. He tells me he cannot fix the problem because he is alone. He will make another appointment to come out (((4th time 0 work has been done one month later))) Wallace AC submits a bill to American home shield that said The home has no existing duct work in the attic. Wallace told American home shield that they need to put all new ducts in the attic. The claim is denied because I had no ductwork in the attic when I 100% do. This was extremely unethical just because Wallace wanted to make extra money, my ductwork never got fixed & I had to take off work 3 time and spend countless time on the phone trying to resolve the problem. When I spoke to Wallace AC they said that they did not want to waste their time spending it on the phone with American home shield to try to resolve the issue that they cause by saying, "I have no existing duct work in the attic" read more

Came out to perform a seasonal AC /Furnace inspection as recommended by American Home Shield. The gas furnace is over 30 years old but lightly used..Mr. Wallace said despite its age it was functioning properly and safely. Just the thermostat wasn't responsive and he will be replacing that in the next day or two (gratis !) IF I decided to ever transition to electric heat he offered quite a deal if I decide to go that route. So I feel I had a good experience and DO recommend them read more

seemed friendly@ first but if you have a problem dissmisive, texted again says he will show and look at it, noshow went on for 3 weeks had to have someone else come in and do the work(said work was kind of sloppy). no paperwork no warranty. discussed taking bill off from the work he got hostile. so i cancelled the amex to renegotiate. decided to eat the 200 but i wanted the paperwork and warranty. 1st nasty then said he wanted us to pay cash or cashiers check. HAHA no record of transaction don't think so. figured out how to fill out warranty myself and told him i would call amex and have them reinstate. which I did and told him then he told me he was going to have Beto to come pick up check and if i did not he would file theft of services charges against me IE get me arrested. Not only is this man a bad contractor but has serious issues. very nice unless there is a problem. I thought people should know about this man before you hire him. read more
