    New 2022 Spring

Went a bit early to find all the must haves for the season. Louisville weather is a fickle one. Friendly and informative staff. Reasonable prices and they will soon have a large selection of annuals and so much more. Love local spots, this one will not disappoint. Beautiful stock of healthy succulents.

We went to Wallitsch to look for some "cool" plants so we can start our gardening for the spring. They didn't have too much yet as it's not gardening season yet, but I am ready to go back to Wallitsch in a few more weeks. The staff there was so kind and helpful and they have so many different plants/flowers to look at. I would ask about their greenhouses - it's just so nice to see all of it! They're locally owned and just feels good to be there. Highly recommend Wallitsch!!

Masks required, social distancing guidelines posted prominently throughout, much to choose from. Got what we needed and are excited to get planting on this gorgeous day. Fast and friendly service. Local owned.

Wallitsch is as good as it gets for a garden center in the Louisville area! I have been to quite a few of them around the tri-state area and I am still just awed when I walked in. Greenhouse after greenhouse, it just keeps getting better and better here. I had no idea such a large nursery existed right off Hikes Lane. Did you know Wallitsch is the supplier of those huge, lush planters around downtown? The quality and vitality of the plants at Wallitsch is the best I have seen. They offer some of the harder to find plants such as Bougainvilleas and all variety of figs, regular and dwarf pomegranates. Their Fuchsia collection is dazzling and breath taking. Those colors are much more vivid than the local big box garden centers' offers. If you are remotely interested in plants and gardening, you must see Wallitsch's for yourself. The price is a bit higher than the Big Boxes, but it is all worth it.

The prices were outrageous, the staff was rude, and my plants died unexpectedly early. Do not go here!

This is a great garden center - with reasonable prices. I find plants there that I have never seen anywhere else.

This is an absolute hidden gem. I stopped in a week ago for pansies and after seeing how amazing…read moretheir flowers were, I knew this is where I'd be getting the rest of my flowers for the season. There are multiple greenhouses on the property. I came in with a plan of what I needed and of course, ended up leaving with more. From speaking with the owner (Steve) and Mel (who may be the manager?), I learned that they have plans for expansion and they hand grow most, if not all, of their flowers and plants. I haven't seen flowers this beautiful at any of the other big box stores around. All of the employees have been friendly and have had great recommendations for me. I'm trying a few new flowers this year because of these recommendations. I look forward to their expansion/move and will continue to shop here for my landscaping needs.

I, like many, am doing a lot of gardening while staying "healthy at home" and this is just what I needed. Plants were competitively priced, typically based on size of pot and if perennial or annual. A lot of plants are unmarked and not priced but there were MANY employees around the greenhouses to help answers questions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There are wagons to carry plants and the staff will assist in taking them to your car. They have trees, shrubs, tropical plants, succulents, traditional annuals, unique perennials, soil, fertilizer. They accept cards but everything is hand calculated. The place is family run and give it a charming experience. The location is slightly tucked away, gravel lot parking, some odds and ends all over but a completely enjoyable place and experience. I will definitely be going again.

Really though this place is magnificent. All the trinkets, the flowers, the trees. Bob and Janet themselves. Is never heard of it or been before yesterday. It was beautiful. Loved every minute of being there. It's just so cool! They even have a little shop. And the Meadow is used for weddings sometimes, but right now there are sculptures. Get ready for an overload of photos because I'm adding them. It's just too beautiful not to. I'm taking my 7 year old son at the end of the month to build his very own fairy garden in the back of the shop. Go support these local folks. Buy your plants here for your yard. They have a great selection. Take a picnic lunch and just enjoy the scenery. I cannot wait to go back.

The beautiful art and serenity of the entire garden was needed by us both and we couldnt be more thankful that weve finally learned of this place. I have already been back twice, 3 times in one month. Of course I only 20 minutes away. We will be going back with all the kids very soon. And I will go just to get a peace of mind probably so often they may tire of me lol
