The Vamoose team explained it ill cost more to do all that work, than to buy a used quad. Well, trading one unknown for another. blah blah blah... The did the work I asked for they did a GREAT job, in taking a ~20 yr old quad that had been sitting, washing it up, cleaning out the carb, new rear wheels, new grips, tank petcock, etc. etc, it runs as good as it ever did thank you to the whole team, I am thrilled If you are in Montrose, and you need work done? they can help

While on a 5,000 mile road trip in August (2018) my service light came on. After discussing trip &…read moremileage w/ my regular shop they advised that the oil be changed as it didn't have the 2,000 miles left in it to get us home. As it turned out I pushed the miles as far as I safely could - to the area where my brother & his wife live - Montrose, CO. My sister-in-law told me Shop 'N Lube was reasonably priced, and nice folks. Having had the recommendation I did not ask the cost of the oil change. Within the the hour this would become a lesson. Although the oil change was done timely the charges seemed extraordinarily high: $92.90 + 4.72 tax, total $97.62. At the time I did not dispute this because they had done the work - AND it was my own foolishness to fail to discuss price in advance. When I got home I took my car in for the rest of the service visit that was due - and presented the bill from Shop 'N Lube for their review. In their view I had been upcharged for EACH OF the oil, the labor, the oil filter. My opinion: if you are visiting Montrose do not expect to be treated fairly at Shop 'N Lube. Suggest that visitors to Montrose consider negotiating and agreeing on a FIRM cost prior to getting oil changed.

Brought my Bronco in for a quick oil change before I took it to Denver. I had to show the tech…read morewhere to put the oil in the engine, the oil cap is bright yellow on top of the engine. Heading to Denver, I stopped for gas and noticed the back of my bronco was covered with oil. I opened my hood to see they had broken the dipstick tube off and it was gone. The tech just stuck the dipstick in the hole left by the broken tube. I had no way to see how much had been lost so i dumped in a quart of oil and kept an extra for spare. When I got back to town I went back to talk to the manager. No apology, no concern. His response was to tell me its not their fault I drive a piece of junk. I would avoid this place like the plague. Incompetent techs and management that are real A-holes. I really hope this place goes belly up

On our way out of Montrose, we discovered a nail in my rear tire. Big O Tires was the closest to us and ultimately they were able to patch the tire. Definitely a boys club of mechanics inside, but they were able to get the job done bright and early. $25 and 30 minutes later, we were out the door. Thought I'd hop on here to give these guys a quick shout out. I hope you don't find yourselves in a similar position, but it's bound to happen from time to time.
