my husband spent over $500 for truck tires from Walmart tire center in Uniontown Pa. He did NOT purchase the road hazard plan for the extra fee ..the tires were warrantied for 60,000 miles......He battled a slow leak from the beginning but could never find where the leak was coming from.....NO PUNCTURES, NO ROAD HAZARD DAMAGE, NO NOTHING......He finally found where the leak was in the sidewall....NO PUNCTURE, no marring of the tiny circle pattern surrounding the area on the sidewall whatsoever but found that when soapy water was applied to the area it indicated a tiny leak that you couldn't see with the naked eye coming from the middle of one of those tiny circles..........He went back to Walmart in Uniontown Pa. and presented the tire and the evidence of a defect in the tire but was told that because he didn't buy the road hazard plan for the extra fee (which this leak WAS NOT FROM ANY ROAD HAZARD ANYWAY) that he would just have to buy a new tire.....even though the tire was warrantied for 60,000 miles and this tire only had 6000 miles (1/10th the warrantied miles) on it...I called Walmart Corporate and explained the situation and was told that since this decision was made by a salaried employee IT WAS NOW THEIR POLICY that any decision made by a salaried employee would be the final word....... ..BEWARE BUYING TIRES FROM WALMART AUTO CENTER IN UNIONTOWN PENNSYLVANIA OR ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER since their policy is now to allow their SALARIED employees to make erroneous decisions TO NOT STAND BEHIND THE MERCHANDISE THEY SELL read more
