I really like how Wal-Marts are popping up all over the place. These places really are that convenient. Parking is plentiful in the nice giant lot out front. The inside is quite bright. The produce section is nice and colourful. This location also has a Tim Hortons by the exit, in case you want a coffee after shopping. One thing worth mentioning is that they now have their own in-house brand for clothes and shoes called George. The stuff may not be the most stylish, but the quality feels decent. Honestly, I can't decide if I like Wal-Mart or Costco more. Most likely the former though, as there are no membership fees required.

    Review Highlights - Walmart

They never have stock, they're not a superstore and its so small it's not worth our time even stopping.

I asked a lady who worked there and she was specific in telling me aisle 13. That was super helpful. Ironically I was very close the first time when I asked the man. The washroom was very clean. The selection of items is impressive. This is a discount variety/dollar/warehouse store. They have many items you would find in a large big box store but at lower prices. They have clothes, food, home decor, tools, office supplies and more! The store is tidy and well organized. It's also fairly straightforward to figure out what each aisle contains. I found a True Religion T shirt for my toddler for $9. A 6 pack of toddler socks for $6. A 3 pack of baby socks for $1.50. My mom bought many cans of coconut milk for $1 each. I saw Starbucks coffee grounds and brand name cereals. They have some good stuff if you have the time and patience to look around. The items are new with tags. However, not all the items here are in perfect condition so you do need to make sure your item doesn't have a flaw you can't live with. You can find some pretty low priced items that would be fine condition for gifts. This is a new location that moved from another location nearby. This location is a bit hidden from the main roads compared to the previous place. They have a number of stores in our area. I will be back!

My most recent visit to Winners in Leduc was scenario A (want to buy everything). Winners is a discount store (so they say) that has deals on a wide variety of products from clothes to cosmetics to accessories to home decor to candy to toys. I've been to several Winners before and sometimes the deals are really awesome, but other times the Winners price isn't that great of a deal. It kind of depends on what you're looking for, and on the original retail price of the item your looking at. I just say this because it's easy to look and go "omg 50% off" and want to buy everything, but not everything is that great of a deal. That being said I do generally like Winners. I don't usually find much in the clothing department, just because their plus size selection is limited to one rack, but I always like browsing the accessories and the purses and handbags at Winners. The have some random brands I don't recognize, but then ones I do like Guess. On my last visit, I found a nice, basic gray over the shoulder purse that is perfect for traveling, and it was only $25, which seems like a great deal to me. I also really like browsing the home department section at Winners because they have cool home decor stuff, but it isn't just double decker bus figures and Buddha statues, there's more practical home stuff. Case in point the 6 pack fo wooden hangers for pants that I got. Winners can be quite busy, particularly on weekends or after holidays, but Leduc's Winners is nice. It's a decent size (not quite as big as some of the ones in Edmonton) and it's always clean and well organized. The staff are pretty friendly, and even when being the 15th person in line for the checkout counter it doesn't take too long to check out. I don't always shop at Winners, but I generally like it when I do.

I am a fan of Winners in general, but the Leduc store doesn't quite make the grade for me. This…read morelocation offers the normal things that you would expect to find in a Winners such as hair products, mens, ladies, and childrens fashion, home decor, etc. but I find that the selection of products is just not as good as other stores that I visit. The selection of products and especially sizes of clothing is consistently limited and picked over at the Leduc store. This store does have a clearance section, but I find that it is usually filled with broken items that are not really discounted at all. My recommendation would be to go to one of the Winners locations in Edmonton as the selection in these stores tends to be better.

It can get crazy busy around afternoon hours though, with high traffic on both sides of the long corridor. Do not, I repeat DO NOT stop in the middle of the traffic, as you will have a bunch of angry students with heavy textbooks piled up behind you. Simply move to the side, and do not look back until safe to do so. Also, it gets crazy hot in the summer because they have crappy air circulation. In fact, I don't believe they have AC ... so it gets pretty stuffy. That's when the frozen yogurt and ice cream they sell come in handy!
