I only go here when I absolutely have to. It never fails if I go to this store for 3 things at least 1 of those 3 things will be out of stock. Often times multiple items that I need are out of stock. Where I live, we've got this Walmart 5 minutes from home or what we refer to as the "good" Walmart 10 to 15 minutes away in Eddystone. Unless really pressed for time we *always* go to the one further away as it's always well stocked and has a much bigger inventory to choose from. read more

I had to call 15 times (no joke) before someone answered the phone. Was put on hold three times and each time it was disconnected. All I wanted to know was if something I ordered online was ready to be picked up. My credit card was already charged or else I'd have just let it go and went somewhere else. This place is a mess. Always crowded and not very organized. They have a self checkout which is very surprising. They always have someone working the exit door who wants to stop you and see your receipt for every little thing. Which is good I guess for anti theft but then don't have self checkout. With the new Forman Mills next store this area of Glenolden is going downhill fast. read more

Absolutely no customer service!! Ordered online for in-store pickup and waited over an hour to get it. One employee checked my ID after helping 2 customers that were behind just to leave where I have no clue. The male employee who was extremely rude finally helped. 1 customers box was all ripped up and he never apologized and just shrugged his shoulders. I had things in my cart so now I had to wait a other 40 minutes to check out with a mean spirited cashier!! Store is filthy and so many employees just walking around!!! read more

This place is horrible. The building is always looking like it is cluttered. Then you have the employees there talking amongst themselves about their personal lives rather then do their jobs. What about that front entrance huh; is that the break room or something for the employees? You have at least one point in time everyday there will be 10 -15 people out there smoking like there will be no tomorrow. And they are right there at the sliding doors where the customers walking in. Go at own risk or it is the last choice. Good Luck!! read more

Very frustrating store to go into...only go as a necessity. STOCK is never replenished for months on demanding items. The availability of merchandise is getting smaller and smaller as time goes on. Most of the sales staff is disinterested and have no sense of urgency. HOWEVER, had a rare experience with a checkout person (Alma)...I think that was her name...well, she had my items wrung up, in the bag before I could get my wallet out. I commented to her that she needs to be in a better job. read more

Customer service sucks at this location. I called like 5 times asking if my order was ready for pickup all 5 times they just put me on hold.

Avoid this walmart at all costs!!! I bought a desk for my daughter's bedroom and had it delivered there to save time. I got an email that said it would be delivered on 7/13. When I called the store everyone of the employees just seemed like they couldn't wait to get off the phone. No one could tell me if the desk was there. I finally asked for the manager and was transfered back to customer service. Every one just seemed annoyed that they were on the phone. Finally I got the manager and told him how rude and ignorant the staff was and he could care less. He transferred med to some one else and the desk was there. When I got to the store I was able to match the people with their voices and realized they just do not care about the customers. Poor hiring, poor training, and I am sure poor wages!!! read more

It's hard to say what's worse; the customers or the store employees. The store has more employees hanging out in the aisles talking than at the register ringing customers up. The lines are rarely shorter than 5-6 people but the store has no shortage of employees on staff. I couldn't believe my luck when I bought a house a mile away from a Walmart but if I had actually went inside and looked around and don't think I would have bought the house in the first place. read more

I contacted this Walmart store to report a missing item. I wasn't' sure if I had purchased the item and after checking my receipt there was one item that I couldn't account for. I spoke to an associate who transferred me to customer service department. They didn't pick up the first time and the associate said she would try again. The second time they picked up but when I told the person I needed to check an item on my receipt she told me to hold on. Apparently she put the phone down on a table or something because I could hear her talking and laughing in the background. I waited for 20 minutes and she never came back to the phone. I hung up and called back in hopes of speaking to a manager. I tried all the departments and not one person picked up the phone. This was around 8:30 in the morning. These people are very unprofessional and since I couldn't speak directly to a manager maybe he/she will notice this review. You need to know the type of people you have working for you. read more

hate writing reviews for such run of the mill places like walmart but i suppose it could be useful to someone. anyway, its walmart. theres not really a whole lot to say about it. i was there early in the morning. it wasnt crowded at all. this is definitely the smallest walmart ive ever been to. didnt really matter though; they had everything i needed. didnt have much interaction with employees. got what i needed and bounced. id definitely go back to this store if i was in the area. read more

Do not go to this Walmart! I am boycotting Walmart in general now because of Glenolden Walmart. I asked the cashier if he was open, he just looked at me and didn't respond, I asked again and he yelled "YES!" at me! I wish had left right then, I regret that. Called the store to complain and got no answer. When you are spending your hard earned money, you should get polite customer service, not there. they act annoyed with you and like they are doing you a favor! Even though I live in Glenolden, I try to stay away from this Walmart. The store is a mess, the cashiers are not exactly friendly and I can never find what I am looking for. The workers are not really helpful when I need help. If I must go to Walmart, I go to another location. More often than not I just go to the Kmart up the street. Much neater, friendlier workers & can almost always find what I need! read more

ASSAULTED BY A WALMART EMPLOYEE 12-22-16 one week after I had a major shoulder surgery and was wearing a fancy arm sling . he did in fact injure me beyond the scope of my normal healing , it set me back quite a while , what happened was I HAD to run out and get dog food and a few items , immediately after check out I realized she made a mistake and charged me for a case of dog food and the cans individually , minus one can , they owed me 7.50 , I was already in the store longer than desired and needed to go home as I was in some pain , so I looked at customer service , loaded at least a dozen in line with carts or returns, so I casually walked to the desk asked for a manager , explained the situation, a few minutes later a young employee rushed up to me in an aggressive manner said "You ova da line white boy, you gotta move " I said " excuse me , I'm waiting for the manger" he said " I don't care , you got to move over that line " ( I was directly on the painted line on the floor at the desk without realizing) and with that he put his hands on me !!!!!!!!!!!!! grabbed my both arms ,one in a sling and he physically moved my person , and we were nose to nose and he was ANGRY , and I was fearing for my safety and that at any moment fists are going to be thrown , more words were exchanged , then somehow the fire alarm went off and then finally the manager showed up angry as well with an attitude . After I explained to her she still found no mistake on the receipt for 10 more minutes until she finally realized it was WRONG , by that time the police and fire co, was there . I am a second generation firefighter 10 minutes away and ran on 1000 false alarms , some at 3 or 4 am , and I was always glad it was nothing . long story short I get the blame for possibly pulling the alarm when I felt my life was in danger, and the police and Walmart have done absolutely nothing to remedy the situation , I am ashamed that this disgusting filthy terribly ran Walmart is the closest one to the place I call home . Beware of CERTAIN checkout people.They are running a scam (it's happened TWICE), where the checkout girl/woman will engage you in chatty conversation, be 'oh SO SWEET' &then an Employee will be behind you in line, wanting to get the checkout person to do "whatever " for her.You get confused cuz its all just a mess, & Next thing you know, you get home & check ur receipt & you just got ripped - off for a pkg of paper towels & some other small things. (which ADDS UP)! So BEWARE folks! Don't engage in ANY conversation with a cashier, cuz she WILL RIP YOU OFF! You've been warned! PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT WAL-MART! WATCH THEM! I HAVE PROOF! Happened to come across the reviews for this Walmart. I would say the reviews are pretty accurate, and I have to add that I'm now 77 years old and used to live in one of the row homes on MacDade Blvd across from this area back in the 50's when the Walmart area--including that around Cooke Ave-- was nothing but an old, overgrown brickyard from the earlier in the century. So this was never an upscale part of Glenolden, but the residents took pride in their properties, and we had the nicest evergreen trees on the block. The old brickyard was even a great place to play. The kids in this area used to walk to Glen-Nor High School (now long gone) and to the elementary schools on Boone and Logan Avenues. I have returned for a couple of visits and have found the whole area--including the Walmart--a really sad, run down area of the town, and the rest of Glenolden seems to be gradually headed that way. Too bad. I have lots of fond memories of what was once a really nice place to live many years ago. read more
