Be Alert when getting passport photos at Walmart Woodlawn Store . At the entrance there is a separate store called "PhotosUnlimited," which is not part of Walmart. They charge about $64 CAD for passport photos. If you go inside Walmart to the electronics/photo department, the passport photo service was about $19.50 CAD. Just a heads-up so people don't assume the entrance store is the same as Walmart's service. read more

I went into Walmart looking for black Friday sale. Anyone on the store couldn't help customers confirm stock is available. So they sent me to customer service. There were 5 people behind the counter and only two helping customers. The Supervisor (a large lady stood behind the computer phoning people to do stuff. Co Manager Katie seemed to run around. It took me 20min to confirm they were out of stock. Great thanks! On check out receipt machine got jammed. A Sri Lankan lady was quick to help me reload. But the initial print was ripped so I asked for a copy. She initially said no theres a barcode. I said to her, I cant even read the items. She got the Supervisor (large lady) to enter her authorization and print it. This store has a lot of potential to be great. But there are many inefficiencies. There are employees hiding behind the til doodling with their cell phone...its probably what's stemming the inefficiency of the location. read more

A few months ago I was using a gift card on this location. The cashier made a mistake adding to the gift card value so we ended up paying more instead of less. My husband and I shop here all the time for groceries... So I was extremely disappointed when the older lady working in the self check out on the left side of the store lied right to my face this morning. I couldn't for the life of me remember my husband and I's credit card number (pregnancy brain) and I asked the lady to cancel my order so I could go to the cashier instead to use TAP. She continued to tell me that they don't do TAP at the store.... I told her I've used TAP at the cashiers tills before and she continued to lie to me and raised her voice "NO, WE DON'T HAVE TAP". As a pregnant woman, my emotions are pretty high. I left the store crying, embarrassed, without my groceries that we needed for today. I'm so disappointed that she wasn't willing to help me in anyway. Im so upset. read more

Walmart likes to say they are the cheapest in town , but do your homework . Yes they have SOME deals but most things are same price or more expensive. Shop locally and support your local businesses . I was shopping at the walmart for 400 iso 35mm film for my new camera and they were very polite and checked the back for me but they said they didn't have any in stock. they sent me to the other store in my city because they had some in stock so i drive to the next store buying gas with my own money and when i arrive i pick up my mayonnaise and go find the cameras. i arrive at the cameras and i don't see the film so i ask an employe if they had any in stock or i the back and SHE JUST IGNORED ME! I never expected that I would review a Walmart on Yelp, but I'm going to just because of what happened today. I was using the self checkout and accidentally left a bag on the floor before leaving and never realized. A minute later, an associate rushed outside with my bag before I could reach my car. Every time I move somewhere, knowing where the local Walmart is located is on top of my list. This Walmart is the only one in Guelph so it's always busy. It's not the typical blue, but this weird greenish colour on the exterior. I agree with the other reviews that it is very messy and disorganized within however I didn't have a problem with stock. The produce was not very fresh though. The McDonald's within this Walmart is really slow too so I wouldn't recommend stopping for something unless you're willing to wait. read more

Very poor studio! Backdrops were falling off the wall and We had to fix the issues ourselves. The girl working as the "photographer" had told us before we started that she had zero training and that her manager had been on sick leave for 2 months. She had no idea about proper poses at all. I'm 34 years old and brought my 31 year old brother with me for a picture, and this employee wanted to have us lie down on top of each other on an old dirty sheep skin rug, like we were 5 years old! We stated that we felt uncomfortable and frustrated. We were there for an hour altogether. She had no idea what she was doing. My brother even had to leave and walk off the anger. We stopped the session and will not return. Very poor studio. It needs to be hosed down and have an actual photographer. $120 packages? I wouldn't pay $1 ... I'm disgusted and appalled read more

Walmart is the big evil of this century. I could go on about their millions and even billions of questionable practices all over the world but instead I will rate this particular store. The service is crap. Stock is crap, especially with sales... yes I think they do do that on purpose. Using their Western Union is like going to the dentist. Bought some produce here. When I got home it was rotting and smelled like garbage, so I had to throw it out. Their prices are low, but I usually don't pay anything for stuff I throw right in the trash, so in that respect it's pretty expensive. read more

This Walmart is really the worse store I've been in. I try hard to avoid it due to the lack or merchandise, poor quality and lousy customer service. However decided to go yesterday June 7th, for a few items. The produce area shelves were empty, a couple of bags of grapes, no berries! The lunch buns in the bins were old, ONE box of Honey nut Cheerios! We went thru each isle, not being able to complete our "one stop shopping" needed chicken breasts to bbq, NONE! Usually I need to drive to Cambridge or Georgetown to shop. Even the store in Orangeville surpasses this Guelph store. I've complained to management a few times, obviously to no avail. It's a shame living In Guelph and having to leave the city to do some Walmart shopping! read more

The store is a disaster area. The past three times I went there I noticed a total lack of organization. Half of the shelves are missing items, they are messy and unkept. I went in to buy some face cream twice within one month and it still wasn't in stock and on the shelf. I asked two of the associates that worked in the makeup section and they just raised their shoulders and shook their heads, saying, "I don't know when it will be in" They weren't even willing to go and find out for me. What a disaster zone! I don't think I'll ever be back to buy anything. I'd rather not waste my time getting there just to find out it's not in stock. I'll go somewhere else thank you. And just walking around, in the grocery section it's the same deal....very untidy. It doesn't take much to have someone go through and organize the shelves, bring everything from the back forward. Not impressed. I would like to encourage people to shop locally and find interesting and unique shops rather than these big box bullies! read more
