I made the appointment, and on the day of, I made it a point to be polite to the staff. I walked in and the front desk person was on the phone. I waited at a respectful distance, until she was ready for me. A massage therapist came out of the back, looked at me like I was scum and ignored me. The other woman finished her call and rudely asked what I was there for. I handed over my i.d. and paperwork, which she rudely snatched out of my hand and told me to "sit over there and don't touch anything", so I sat down and waited. I was called back to the bathroom by a staff member who was just as rude as the other two, and woukd not give me the chance to explain that I am in renal failure and while I had been chugging water, I have no control over my urine output or frequency, but the woman sighed and acted like I was lying or something. I gave the sample but it was not enough. I offered to try again when I could but was told "we don't have time for that!". Overall I felt humiliated by the treatment I received, and by being dismissed by the staff as if I were somehow 'less than'. I will NEVER go there as a patient and am looking for some place else to do my drug test! ​

Warm linens and towels. Dim, warm lighting. Her chair doesn't squeak. She doesn't breathe loudly. And the energy as she lays hands on you is amazing. She has a calming, centering about her that will put you at ease no matter the service or length of time you receive. Tip: go long for your first several sessions, that way she can explore your therapy needs. Kari has you covered with skin care and aesthetics. I never knew different waxes are intended for use in different areas of the body. She has, admittedly, waxed me and I have seriously sensitive skin--- as in, I've bled from waxing. Not only did my skin NOT immediately set ablaze with waxing, but it was truly pain free. I'm sure she will say no waxing is without some discomfort as a disclaimer, but I had zero pain. My eyebrows were male appropriate--- no high arches or pencil thin lady brows. Cleaned up and masculine. I have also heard her Brazilians are pretty amazing . She also offers aesthetics services and skin consultations, both of which have come highly recommended by those I've referred. I'm a wimp with facials--- pore extraction drives me crazy. My room was quiet and well-appointed with everything I needed, and the A/C was quiet and efficient. I have enjoyed MAV PK at 5 separate locations in the U.S. and India. The PK technicians at The Raj were excellent - the best I've experienced anywhere. One month later I experience continuing benefits from the treatments I received there. The Ayurvedic physician who customized and oversaw the guests' treatments was also excellent, regularly checking on each guest's progress and amending their treatment schedule as needed to insure maximum, lasting benefits. The meals were prepared by a trio of experienced Ayurvedic chefs, and each guest's organic, vegetarian meal was individually prepared to support and enhance the benefits of their personally designed treatment program. The other staff members - Guest Services, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Yoga Asana teachers, and the evening speakers who enhanced our knowledge and appreciation of MAV PK - were also A+ and added significantly to my overall experience. I feel fortunate to have experienced two weeks of treatments at The Raj and am planning to return next year for another two weeks.
