Very clean, nicely stocked store. Found everything I needed and had excellent steaks :). Staff was super friendly and very helpful, and even offered their assistance even when not asked. Most people brush off Family Dollar as one of those stores that should be ignored because usually…read morethey live in a town that has a big box retailer as competition so people usually go there to shop. However I do notice that these days Family dollar is in small towns so that they don't have to compete with those kind of stores. Not a bad move at all and certainly not a bad move in opening a Family Dollar store in Saratoga where the pickings for goods and services are slim. Not a whole lot of variety to pick from. So it is good that this kind of store opened so they can give the local grocery store some competition and maybe the town can see an overall drop in prices on some things. Everyone that works here are nice and friendly and to Saratoga having this kind of store is a breath of fresh air after the drug store closed many years ago. Family Dollar covers the basics on your everyday needs and that is fine for those in search of everyday things.

Family Dollar is a great store for Saratoga. They have a nice selection of basic food items--chips,…read morebread, eggs, frozen pizzas--and then a good selection of meds--aspirin, Ibuprofen, pain patches, etc. And I love the special items they have for the Holidays especially Christmas--trees, lights, decorations, candies, etc. And they have some really cool and unusual items like a turntable for LPs! And for only $40! Hard to find a record player these days--so you just never know what kind of neat stuff you'll find there. Hardworking friendly employees too.
