We sat and waited. Four people were at the desk working on the computer and we were ignored. Finally I asked if we needed to make an appointment to come back and I was told "that would probably be a good idea" since they were busy with computer problems. I called them back when I realized I never got our prescription back. I was told to "look in my car" since they gave it back to me. They did not. Returned a week or so later. Since they had lost the prescription, they said they were "calling to get it". We ordered his glasses and were told they would call when they came in. After three weeks passed I called today. I was told the glasses were never ordered since they did not get the prescription from the provider. I asked why they did not call them back or at least call me and I would get it myself! I was told "mistakes happen" in a sarcastic tone. My husband is still without glasses. Unbelievable.

The technician was so friendly and easy to talk to. Dr. Myloan Nguyen performed an extensive examination of my eyes for any and all issues before they get to a point of concern. I found the staff to be warm and friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. Dr. Myloan Nguyen is a top notch optometrist. I would highly recommend Sussex Eye Center and specifically Dr. Myloan Nguyen to my friends and family.

We truly appreciated the level of care and compassion shown. However, there was an issue afterward that needs improvement. When we went to CVS to pick up the prescribed medication, it wasn't there. After looking into it, we found the prescription had been mistakenly sent to Express Scripts (my long-term mail-order pharmacy) instead of the local CVS. Mistakes happen, and that part was understandable. The frustrating part was the process to fix it. When I called Bayhealth, I was told the correction had to be reviewed by a doctor, even though the prescription had already been approved--just sent to the wrong place. We were sitting in CVS waiting for the medication, running on very little sleep due to our daughter's condition, which made the delay even more difficult. We waited for about 45 minutes with no resolution. When I called back, I was told the doctor was with another serious patient and we would have to wait longer. The concern is not the mistake itself, but the lack of an efficient process to quickly correct something like this. Situations like this directly impact the patient, especially when medication is needed promptly. There should be a faster, more streamlined way to resend a prescription to the correct pharmacy without unnecessary delays. Again, the care we received in person was excellent--but improving this process would make a big difference in the overall patient experience.

I've been going to MyEyeDr. for years, mostly at their Dover locations, and have always had good…read moreexperiences. Unfortunately, this Georgetown location was very different. I called ahead to ask about costs and was told there would be no charge. When I arrived, I was charged $49 total ($10 copay and $39 for imaging), which was not clearly communicated beforehand. When I mentioned this, staff repeatedly told me I could sign a waiver to decline the imaging, but the way it was communicated felt dismissive rather than helpful. I also asked for a glasses adjustment and did not receive one. Overall, the communication felt rushed and impersonal compared to other locations I've visited. I've had much better experiences with this company elsewhere, so this visit was disappointing.
