Today, I presented a coupon for "$5 off $65 or more" and was informed that it had expired two days ago. I explained that I shop here every week and asked if they would be kind enough to honor this coupon? The manager, Sam, simply shook her head at me and walked away. Now, I understand that I didn't realize the coupon was expired and if it had been more than a few days old I wouldn't care...but as a customer who spends $100+ in this store every week, who knows all of the cashiers by name, who knows that they know my face and see me every other day in this store because it is the only store within 20 miles, I expected a little more courtesy. This store seriously needs customer service training and management skills training. I used to be a cashier at a grocery store and things like not greeting your patrons, gossiping with your friend or colleague while you are ringing someone up, and having only two registers open with the line backing up and not calling for extra hands in simply not acceptable. I was greeted upon entry, asked if I needed any assistance by another staff member, checking out was a breeze, and staff outside asked if I needed help with loading. Now if that isn't great service, I don't know what is?! Delightful, refreshing, and left very pleased!
