I get very tired of some people saying negative things about stores that are really quite good. It is true that all employees should take pride in their work and spend less time being involved in things that are not work oriented, and that happens everywhere, but I have never had any issues at this store. It's a small town and offers other services, and this store tries. I'd like to know if those who are so quick to judge, so to speak, have ever worked retail? Complaining is easy when you can't see the bigger picture and yes, it would be nice to see a few other stores open, for the mental health of all people, instead of seeing businesses leave because they can. People need to work and big business needs to do its best to provide that instead of being unfair to communities who have served them well, and likely for a long time. You want more probably, but make do with what is available and stop complaining, they have a great selection, and their selection is up to corporate, and they seem to do a pretty good job as far as I'm concerned and the people who work there do what they are told, and sometimes that's like mission impossible, since some of us know how that works. The key is to stay focused as a worker and a consumer, so stop complaining and do your best it could be far worse so take your blinders off. This store has what you need more times than often, and the people I have seen working hard are doing their best! They are polite and always helpful. People are spoiled...they want this and that, or impose their superficial take on things, and well, most of us are there to shop, not show off and I find food, and the basics, and yes, they have auto service, so no, don't complain. This store is clean, and does its best, and that is that! Imagine what it is like to have to work hard for any company and restock shelves, lifting, pushing, tagging, etc, etc... and all the other things you as a consumer do not know about, so get over yourself, because this store does try, and I appreciate it and so should you. Grow your own apples if you think you can do better, go for it. Be grateful for things, and yes, we need a few more businesses here because the residents deserve that, not another coffee shop, and granola bars that cost $5.00, we need more than that, I can make my own coffee and do! We also need more smaller stores too, but this is a farming area, and big stores like Walmart who provide to this community are really great too, because farmers are very busy people and so is everyone else. The little man, he is the one who built this country, don't forget him or her and deserves a chance too, so see things for what they are, and remember, this store is a nice place to shop so respect it. All the typical stereotypes and tropes apply, including having an absurdly limited number of open registers and a knack for discontinuing items as soon as you grow accustomed to purchasing them. That said, if you want quality organic produce when the local farmers' market isn't in season, this is just about the only place to get it. That alone saves it from one or two star oblivion - if only barely - but doesn't change the fact that shopping here feels more like a chore than anything remotely enjoyable.

In all fairness, the pharmacy is the type of place that I like to do business, as it is locally owned and operated. They have medications in stock that most pharmacies have to order, which is a major plus. Also, they are timely in filling them, and I must say that they are well organized, as the drive-thru is quicker than most. Furthermore, they honor certain outside discount programs that many other pharmacy establishments do not. Their prices are competitive, and the place is ideal for most customers, I'm sure. I am on a scheduled medication, which is a transdermal patch, used primarily for ADD. I am prescribed this for narcolepsy. It is a medication that one could easily abuse, so I understand that certain care must be taken on the pharmacy's end in the timing of refills. They keep it in stock, which is a huge plus. Yet, customer service is as important to me as the sum total of the previously stated virtues. I will only speak of the recent occurrence: I was a day early picking up my script. One of the patches were bad and came off shortly after I administered it, putting me a day early. The lady who works the window told me that I couldn't receive it until the next day. My understanding is that such a script can be filled up to two days prior to the actual due date for refill. I proceeded to explain to her about the bad patch. She snapped "Did you call the manufacturer?" In a hasty tone. Being within the two day window, she could have talked to the pharmacist (which I did shortly after) about what had happened. I've had bad patches before, and whatever pharmacy I was using always worked with me because of that two-day window. Instead of purging me with the question about the manufacturer, why not offer me something instead! For example, "Why don't you call the manufacturer. Here's a phone number for you," would have been appropriate. I left there feeling scorned for needing that particular medication. Again, I understand they must be cautious, because of abuse potential. But, such haste is simply unfair and unacceptable, especially to a legitimate customer. Not everyone who takes such medications are abusing them. I believe that was her assumption. I called and spoke with the pharmacist, and she cleared everything up, and instructed me to return and pick up my script. That added the fourth star! I merely recommend that if you are prescribed a scheduled drug with abuse potential, perhaps consider another pharmacy....or avoid the drive thru. I pray that I'm being fair about this.
