This place is just not it. It doesn't feel safe, it doesn't feel clean, and it just doesn't feel right at all. There are so many moments where I am worried that I am being watched to be kidnapped. I'm not sure why this specific location is so dicey, but it is. It's not clean, it is not organized and the individuals that work there do not care at all. Customer service does not exist at this store. Finally, major complaint, but I do not like the fact that Sam's Club and Walmart do not allow tap to pay. I only go to this Walmart in East Bloomington if I absolutely have to. I call this Walmart "Ghetto-Mart" ... upon arrival, this place appears "seedy" because there is a police video camera station out in the parking lot and a police substation inside the store.. in addition the store is very dirty compared to other area Walmarts. But what do you expect.. it is a Walmart located in a higher crime area.... if you want a clean Walmart store, go somewhere else. Low prices? the prices in this Walmart aren't exactly the lowest - (there's no competitor nearby, where one usually finds lower prices if a competitor is nearby) But, it is a Walmart and if you actually need something, it is a store, just be careful. Yep, I'm actually doing a review of a Walmart. Honestly, I usually enjoy Walmart stores and like getting things for cheaper than other places - but this one is just a really bad location. I was visiting Mall of America and wanted to stop by to pick a few things up for my hotel room. Upon entering - you see there's a police sub station inside the store with an officer on standby, the store and parking lot is full of sketchy people and the store itself is just dirty - there's a reason for all of this and a reason they close earlier than other Walmart locations. I am so glad I have a Walmart Supercenter near me. These employees work hard to service customers. I frequently ask where I can find a certain item and they are very helpful. I had just spoken to the Manager of Walmart, Trying to let him know that I've been trying to get a hold of someone and all the phone does is ring.. I kept calling for an hour since 7:30 am for someone to answer. Since they opened their store at 6:00 am, That Manager was very rude to me, He was talking over me real fast.. I kept asking him to slow down so I could understand the phone number that he gave me, And when I said Thank you, he just abruptly ended the call. Needed to get a prescription filled for my heart meds. They said out of stock will be in 1-2 days. Waited 5 days then told me they never ordered them because they couldn't get them - I had to call around quickly and drive over an hour to find it. When I called back to complain the pharmacist laughed at me. Thought it was funny I was upset because I needed meds. Also last time I was in tried to push unneeded vaccines on me that I confirmed with my doc I didn't need. Guess the pharmacists make more commissions on vaccines than filling prescriptions. Update:6/15/24 I complained to corporate about putting peoples health at risk with these practices. It's been a week and no response back. I've literally spent thousands there in prescriptions. The most tolerable of Walmarts. Airport adjacent. I generally don't support this corporate monstrosity, (sometimes I patronize it unwillingly) but I like to give positive feedback when it's due: I was pleased to find a minimalistic, quick directory listing aisle numbers and item names displayed at the entrance doors for reference. This is really useful and accommodating to ADHD/neurodivergent shoppers. I appreciate not having to walk around, frustrated, navigating through the store to find what I need, losing energy and gaining hate for the store in the process. I wish all (large) stores would do this. The display looked temporary but I hope management considers utilizing this as an accessibility/inclusivity tool for its customers. The store is also smaller, less overbearing, less distracting and with more pleasant lighting than other locations that I have been to. read more

Came to get something small from this Walmart since we were in the area and the stuff at the hotel was honestly quite pricey. The Walmart had all the stuff that I was looking for but the people who shop here are very rowdy, the staff who work here aren't that nice either. There's definitely TONS of parking available so you'll find a spot no problem at all. The check out lines were abysmal. I felt Walmart lacked variety as well. pretty standard wal-mart, was really cool to walk through here and see all of things that Canada doesn't have. this wal-mart actually saved my butt with all of the hot sauce that they had available for purchase. was very happy with shopping here, and would come to this wal-mart if I lived in the area. very clean, lots of parking, super close to the mall of America. read more

I believe you get what you pay for, and kept that in mind when shopping here but I underestimated the rudeness of their workers and inability to get through to an actual customer service person when recently purchased something from this store. Their customer service desk was ruder than the people on the floor, and he pretended to be the manager. I realized he was upset because the pizza he had delivered while working the counter gave up and left but that was hardly the fault of their customers. I couldn't find a corporate contact either so filed my complaint elsewhere, my business will be going elsewhere too from now on!! My family has shopped Walmart for many years. I even worked at one in college as a CSR. This Walmart is the worst store I have ever shopped in. It was dirty, unpacked freight all over, no organization and the staff was very rude. If you cant find something, dont ask an employee they will have no idea or can not speak English. I live a short distance away from this store, but I will never return, I will drive to the other Walmart even if they are 10 miles away. There was no carts available for customers to use, but only about 20 some carts full of product to put back on the shelfs. I am ashamed to say I was associated with this company. This review is in regards to their bakery. I'll start with I've had excellent service at other Walmart bakery locations. Unfortunately, this one did not pass a simple customer service request. I preordered a custom birthday cake a month before we needed it. Everything seemed to go smoothly online. However, the week before the pick up I called the bakery (as the website suggested) to request a pick-up change. The person over the phone noted it and I asked if I needed a new order number or some way to verify we had the conversation and they said no. Of course, I received emails informing me my cake was ready for the original pick up date. I called the bakery again to make sure my change request was noted and the rep (I'll leave her name out) said the cake was made accidentally and they'll discard it since she did see the change request. She confirmed a new cake would be ready for pick up. In a nutshell, they couldn't find the order at which we drove away. Later they called saying they found it and they ultimately gave us an expired cake. Thank you Walmart for confirming why I enjoy Target so much more and why they deserve my business from here on out. read more

I was literally scammed! I bought an air mattress from here and I open it up at home and come to find that the product isn't what I bought. I was buying a AlwayzAire air mattress and it literally blows mind but there was an Intex mattress in there. I went back the next day to return it and was denied because it wasn't the same product in there. I literally said no shit, exactly my thoughts when I opened it at home. If I could give it no stars I would!! Please be extremely careful at this dangerous Walmart!! There is always violent things going on inside and outside of this hell hole! Just last Monday my car was broken into in the parking lot. The staff was disgusting and very unhelpful! The police came and wanted to view the cameras and of course they did work. Standard Walmart. I disagree with most of the reviews that the employees are unhelpful as I had an entirely different experience. I tend to see people who have no self-awareness in Walmart, and I would say the worst part about Walmart is that, the shoppers. The woman who checked me out asked if I found everything alright and was overall friendly. I asked another worker where something was and they knew exactly where it was even while dealing with a customer who had just smashed a box of Diet Coke on the ground. It's really been a drag having to shop at this Bloomington location over the last few months. The place has transformed into an unorganized mess. No matter day or night visit, there have been boxes, sometimes empty, just sitting out unattended. The baking aisle and the candy/coffee aisle look especially ridiculous with disheveled stocking and items strewn about; it's hard to find anything. I continued to shop here because it's down the street from my house and you can't beat the prices. But the vibe is so miserable. On two recent visits I needed employee assistance, once from a 30 something gentleman who confirmed he was one of the "new" managers. He was zero help and had zero interest in helping. There was no mis-reading that. He was too busy socializing with other employees standing around all the boxes, he legit Did Not Care To Assist. If he's leading the team, it's no wonder then why, on the second occasion, after approaching a familiar long time employee, who was also chatting it up with other employees, I surprisingly got the brush off. When I asked another question, I got attitude. It's pretty unbelievable and epically bad. I have shopped here many years and it was never this bad, the employees used to be helpful. Never fails call to find out if they have a particular item and you get someone who barely speaks English, places you on hold and you wait for over 30 minutes dial back and the same thing. I tried the one in Brooklyn Center last week and had a wonderful response so this will be my go to though it is further away. Whoever owns Walmart needs to address this issue which has been the same way for years though it might be another manager just plain tacky, poor customer service. read more

This Walmart is quite literally the center of hell. It's always a mess, things blocking ever aisle, they're constantly out of everything you go there for, employees are rude, it's always under construction, and the gem this last time I went was when one of the female employees was trying on winter jackets rather then working.
