Walmart is known for prices, not service... We all know that. I live 30 minutes from town and when I got home, realized the tire center made a mistake on a battery. I tried calling for over an hour to save another trip. I arrive to find four people standing around, they were not busy, and had my answer to my question in 30 seconds. Would be nice if they were just pick up the phone in the first place. I for one, feel sorry for the people that work there that care. for that small group , it must be a frustrating place to work. read more

Walmart has consistently been headed downward in customer service and satisfaction and my experience at this super center set a new low. We drove over an hour to get to this location as they had a jacket my wife liked in her size and in the color she liked. It could not be ordered online as it was pickup only. Naively we thought that price online of $18.98 marked down on clearance from $24.98 was the price we would pay. Wrong! It rang up at full price and when we showed the online price and that it was marked clearance we would told that they do not honor their online prices in store. I complained to a manager after returning the jacket and the manager was rude and should have that job as she had no customer service skills. I even explained how far we had driven and that we couldn't wait in town for 4 hours plus for it to be ready for pickup. Could I buy it online and she just let me pick up right away. Nope! Tried buying it online for pickup at this store but had to cancel the order as it was taking too long for them to process. Finally since my wife really liked the jacket abc it was a replacement for a Christmas present I walked in and bought it at full price. This is ridiculous that a Walmart house brand product costs me $7.00 more just because I drove to the store and walked inside, picked it off the rack then walked to front and payed for it. Seems like I saved them more then $7.00 in wages. Avoid Walmart and this super center in particular. read more

While driving through Childress, TX, we got something in our tire. It was quite a large object so the tire could not be patched. Fortunately, the Wal-mart tire center was open and they had a tire to fit our car. The tire team was outstanding. They were friendly and very quick so we could be on our way. They also warned us about the rattlesnakes in the field behind the building. Thank you tire team! read more

I would give it three stars for stocking the shelves but zero stars for lack of cashiers. Today I had a full basket a bad leg and bad back when I walked up to only one cashier with a long line. A male employee walked up to the next slot so I asked if he was opening and he said no. When I started back to the other cashier with her long line she turned off her light with approaching shoppers complaining of no cashiers. I told the male employee that he could have my full basket because I was going to United Grocery. If this happens again I will again leave them my basket. My legs can't handle this kind of shopping! read more

I am at this Wal-Mart a lot and it never fails that when I am in there or if may kids need to use the restroom, and it is always nasty. Either someone has pooped on the toilet or pissed on it or there is wet paper everywhere, I know that with all the employees that are I know that they can get in there and clean the bathrooms cause they certainly don't have any cashiers cause there are never enough lines open. I think if we are gonna self check Wal-Mart needs to send us a check. read more

This Walmart has big rig and RV overnight parking. There is a special designated area in the back of the lot. Always clean, well-stocked and bursting at the seams with clearance items such as fabric, toys, linens, movies and clothing. Love this Walmart! read more

OK..so the parking lot is a complete mess with trash everywhere.. Had tires changed on my car and we were the only customer in line..said it would take one hour and took three hours.. Three guys working in the shop area on one car...all talking but barely working.. When I was working at a tire store it only took 30 minutes for one guy to install and balance four tires .. Don't go here for tires...lol..unless you have lots if free time and you don't mind a filthy dirty parking lot and grounds.. read more

Actor 2: Person who wishes to consume vegan food & hot peppers but is not the best at basic mathematics. Scene: Parking lot of Walmart in Childress, TX. (Actor 2 is leaving Walmart as s/he runs into Actor 1 who is entering.) Actor 1: Is that a box of fresh habanero peppers in the your bag right next to the tofu that was on sale? It looks as clean as the store is inside. Actor 2: It must have been on sale, because my receipt was cheaper than I was expecting, but I am not the best at math. It's no wonder this store has such a low rating. My son has seizures and we never know if he's going to come out of the bad ones. My ex husband was traveling from Utah to Texas to see his son for what could be the last time. His wallet was stolen and he was left with jus an invalid ID. I wired him some money using Walmart to Walmart. They would not allow him to pick up any money with this ID. Store policy. Which is understandable. What wasn't understandable was the managers cocky attitude. He proceeded to tell me that he was a grown man and needed an ID. Did not believe he had his belongings stolen, despite him having a police report. He wouldn't help him. He wouldn't point him in the right direction. (Which we found to be Western Union if anyone runs into this problem) All and all it was a horrible experience and I was just on the phone. I do not live in the area but I can promise I will never use Walmart to Walmart after an experience like this. And to the manager who had "numerous DUI's and a drug addiction.. helped himself all alone and started from the bottom of Walmart to become a big bad manager." (His words after I said he was ridiculous and out of line among other things) Karma sucks. I hope you never find yourself in this sort of situation. read more
