This Walmart has it's good and bad points like every other Walmart. For the good, it has a rare Walmart Fuel Station that has competitive gas prices. Parking is more than adequate. What I like about this Walmart vs. the Bloomsburg Walmart, is this store seems to have a better and more frequently restocked selection of items. The selection of items in the freezer section stands out. Where this Walmart loses out is due to being in a high theft area, a significant number of items are behind glass or locked up in some form. If a store does this, they need to have employees available at all times to come and get the items unlocked. This store does not seem to have those employees in the evenings to pull this off based on the roughly 10 minutes wait I had on a Friday evening. I left without the item. The self-checkout systems here are not as user friendly as other's I've seen, and the area to use them is constrained in space on the grocery side. This is also probably due to theft issues. Overall, I do like coming to this Walmart despite it being out of my way for the better selection compared to the Bloomsburg store. read more

It is two stars because they remolded some of it and they seem to be getting in better products. It's honestly one of stars because of the people who have moved into that area for the prisons. We have the Walmart app which if you use it right is cheaper than going to the store. I'm former law enforcement and I always carry in this store "if" I have to go. The staff is basically 90% of people who hate you and 10% who work part time and are happy. We always go to the other place with a red circle store 40 minutes away (with tons of restaurants)just to not deal with this mess unless there is something we need right away. read more

Wel I live near this Walmart. So this is where I went. I bought haddock , an cod. The cod had a yellow sticker on it. Now I worked for Walmart years ago an I told my husband, that's a sign that it's old ,don't buy it. HE DIDNT LISTEN . And now he has diahrea, fever. Sweats. 15 mins after. He got fish poisoning. Don't eat anything from Walmart with yellow stickers!!! read more

I have never seen a Walmart so inadequately stocked and so poorly run. None of the employees that work there are happy about being there. It's like the land of the dead. Plus, they are woefully understaffed. I have several Walmart locations within a 1/2 hour drive and they are all better run and well stocked. I have to attribute the state of the Coal Township location as an indictment of the managers. read more

I just had to make a quick stop to use the bathroom, worst decision I have ever made. I went to the restroom in the front of the store first, the smell was so foul and the floor looked so dirty I couldn't even make it past the door without gagging. Then I went in the bathroom in the back of the store, hoping for the best but it was actually worse. Thankfully, I was able to get inside the bathroom without gagging until I opened the door to go into the first stall and it looked like it hasn't been cleaned in decades. I checked in every stall to see if there was anything close to clean, but as you could've guessed they were all equally disgusting. Do yourself a favor and just go anywhere else if you need to use the bathroom. I highly don't recommend going here whatsoever, if the bathroom looks this filthy and disgusting I can't imagine anyone cleans there at all. I hope someone cleans the first stall in the bathroom in the back of the store because that was literally deadly. read more

I guess this is one of the best walmarts I have been to but it's still walmart and you can't expect much. I refuse to purchase any type of produce and especially not meat. read more

For an area that has absolutely no clothing or places to really shop this is the best you can purchase pretty much everything you need it's easy to get to and the associates are very pleasant and helpful for the area it's the best and very much needed I heard there are Walmarts closing please don't close ours alot of shamokin people and surrounding areas have and can't get anywhere else read more

Since I am visiting my hometown during my introduction to YELP, I feel obligated to include Wal-Mart. Whatever your need may be, you can probably find it here. This store is the closest thing to a mall. I go to Wal-Mart to shop & for entertainment, you see there is not much to do in Kulpmont. Open 24-7. I live (Philly) close to some of the best shopping and my daughter is a fashionista, but when in the area it's all about the Wal-Mart. Salon, pharmacy, optician, bank,groceries,gas and some odd sights that you can't buy anywhere! read more

Worst possible place to try and buy anything. Store policy is upsurd and makes it difficult to buy any ammunition or any outdoor equipment. I would not recommend. I'd give no stars if possible but yelp dosent think a company could be as bad a Walmart. read more
