Wish they had a negative rating. This store was the best Walmart I had ever been in ... 10 years…read moreago! Today...there is no stocking of products and they do not care. It's easier on us to just go somewhere else. Even if we have to drive 30 minutes more. Products not stocked, can't find associate for help, but the cashiers are friendly.

Did you know Amish people shopped at Walmart?…read more Me either. Apparently they do at this one. It's a sight I'm still not used to yet. SO.... I strongly dislike Walmart. I don't like the way they use sweatshop labor to produce cheap goods (you know what the real price is, right? the lives and dignity of the workers). I also don't like the way they come into a town and steal all the customers away from local shops and services. I suspect this is what happened to Cynthiana. After all, the thinking is: why shop at all these little stores downtown when you can just go to Walmart and buy everything 'cheap' one in place? Unfortunately, I admit that sometimes Walmart is the only place to go when it's late at night, you're in a rush, you need to get a variety of stuff, you have little funds, and there's no other store like Target around. I cringe at this admission. A tiny part of me dies every time I step into Walmart and willingly purchase something. I truly wish there were more independent stores alive in town (my husband and I have already decided to frequent a few other places for some items), but looks like this Walmart will be my stop in the area when I need this or that. It's new-ish, clean-ish, and stocked with a variety of things from food (ick) to guns to laptops to clothes to baby products and more. Plus, they've got a Red Box.... and Amish sightings!

I'd driven by this place many times and been curious about it…read more It looks a tad shady on the outside, my wife joked that it seemed from first glance like a place where most of the merchandise would have "fallen off the back of a truck." However, I wanted to see what was up with the place for myself. I went in there today and here's how I can describe the place: You know that shelf or rack at a lot of stores that has their closeouts and returns and opened packages? Imagine a full store of nothing but that. Out front was a bicycle with a big sign on it saying "salvage". They had a couple of well-used wet-dry vacs in the back, and a wall of opened-package (or used) small kitchen appliances like coffee makers and microwave ovens. There were piles of clothing for sale, not on hangers or any kind of organization, just dumped out on shelves or in boxes to be rummaged through. It almost seemed like a permanent garage sale in a retail space. If you want used and salvaged merchandise, they seem to have it. Sitting by the door was a man with a gruff expression. He wore a Deputy Sheriff's badge on his belt, so presumably he works there as a side job, is he supposed to be there to reassure people that the goods aren't stolen? He, nor the man behind the counter made any attempt to greet me, nor even acknowledge my presence in the store. While I was browsing, they launched into talking politics, where it was clear that both of them followed certain extremist conspiracy theories rather zealously. It made me very uncomfortable and I really didn't want to listen to it as I browsed (and they still hadn't even so much as said hello to me), so I just walked out of the store. I won't be back.

On a recent trip to Atlanta for work, I had a tire lose its tread on the highway. I managed to…read moremake it to this store and have regretted it ever since! It was Sunday so options were limited and, I HAD to replace the tire. All SEEMED well when I left, there was a bit of a shimmy but, it was my first road trip in this vehicle so I didn't think much of it. Made it to Atlanta and parked the car for the two weeks I was there. I had a rental for work and parked next to my truck every night. On the way back, the truck started shaking badly. I pulled over on the highway thinking I had a flat. Nothing. Checked the suspension, all looked fine. Tried to go a little bit and the truck just shook. I had it towed to Pep Boys. As the mechanic was pulling it into the garage, another guy came running out, waving his arms, yelling. My wheel, the one THIS WALMART replaced, was ready to fall off. It had two sheared lug posts and the remaining lugs were very ready to go. The wheel had been improperly seated by WALMART I had to pay for the repair AND a hotel for the two days I had to spend waiting on a new wheel. My wheel was ruined, the holes were bored out, making it useless. Not to mention the HUGE SAFETY RISK this put me in. Pep Boys got me all fixed up and back on the road. When I stopped at this location to see about them reimbursing me for the repairs, replacement wheel and lost days, they offered me $350. About a third of my total out of pocket. I told them that was unacceptable and we filled out the claim paperwork. Their claims guy called, I explained what had happened and he said he'd look into it. I have a job. A pretty good job. I was not looking to rip them off, I don't need to. I wasn't doing a "slip and fall" wanting them to buy me a house. I got REMARKABLY BAD SERVICE THAT COULD HAVE(luckily it didn't) KILLED ME!! I wanted them to make it right. That is all. I didn't ask for ANYTHING. I would have settled for just my out of pocket but, the video showed the guy torquing the lugs so, NOTHING. They claim NO FAULT AND I AM OUT ALMOST $1200!?! Needless to say, I am in the process of suing them now. If you mess up to the degree they did, SOMEBODY has to make it right. Especially when all that is being asked is what it cost me to repair YOUR BAD SERVICE!!

I remember when Lexington Green was actually a mall... but despite now being a "small" mall, the…read morestore selection is primo! I love Tunies (local boutique), Joseph Beth (bookstore), and Total Wine. Logan's of Louisville is another great local boutqiue specializing in upscale mens selections, but you can catch a great sale if you're lucky! Great venue for oustanding customer service all around.

I pretty much want to say exactly what Heather P. said in her review for this place…read more Lexington Green Mall is located near Fayette Mall (incredibly close, actually), and is filled with higher-end stores that you won't find in Fayette. Stores like Anthropologie, lululemon athletica, White House | Black Market, francesca's, etc. It's small, though, so the store selection isn't extensive. There's also two restaurants -- the Brontë Bistro in the bookstore, and Palmers, which, from my wanderings, looked like it was also kind of connected to the lower level of the bookstore. On another note, the scenery is kind of lovely here. There's a pond with ducks in the back of the shopping center that provides a calming retreat from shopping. Palmers' patio is next to the pond, as well. The front of the mall is also very pleasing, with many places to sit and eat/read/chat/write/whatever. Not a bad outdoor mall, but I'll probably only return just for Whole Foods and Joseph Beth Bookstore (which is amazing, by the way).
