I am a regular shopper at this Big Lots in Elkins, WV. It has great merchandise but one of the…read moreworst managers in the history of retail. There may be 6-10 people standing in line and they will not open another register. I have seen the manager stand there and do nothing, mostly because the other registers are broken much of the time. Fifty percent of the time that I come here to shop I end up leaving my cart or basket and just walking out because I do not have 30+ minutes to stand in line. The workers are slow and have no concept of quality customer service. Sadly, this is one of the few places in town where you can get international foods at a great price. Don't use the restroom unless it is an emergency. Really.

I had to return a pair of shoes I ordered. I took them back a few hours after I received them with all paperwork that came with them. This lady had a fit at me because apparently the paperwork wasn't a receipt with a barcode. I pulled up the order on my phone. She then asked for my Boscovs card which I didn't have on me. She then snapped at me several times saying that if I'd had it she could return it. Otherwise she couldn't. I've returned there many times without my card. She just kept berating me until I told her to give me back my package because I was tired of her being so rude. It was completely unnecessary for her to speak to me as she did.

After one full week with no update I contacted them via email for an update or tracking information for my shipment. After no response for an additional week, I found the time to phone them during their business hours. Not only was my order not on it's way but it was backordered for more than a month. They said they emailed me about this. No email was ever received and I was checking both my regular email and my spam folder regularly looking for something from them. After finally hearing of the backorder while I was on the phone with them, I asked him to cancel my order and refund my card. One week later I received an email saying the order was backordered??? Really?? I already had an email confirmation of the cancel. And guess what, they did not refund my card either.
