"Love Each Other" - Atmosphere Who would have thought we would have found LOVE in a Walmart Supercenter in Fayetteville, Arkansas? We went in to check out the Halloween merchandise as the different Walmart sometimes has different things, and the Walmarts in Hawaii have the least amount of cool stuff, so we made a trek into this store looking mostly for AR Woo Pig Sooie Razorback stuff for family gifts but didn't end up with any because they only had shirts. I was looking for more paraphernalia stuff like license plate frames, cup coozies, stickers. I did, however, find some cool Halloween swag (as usual). I bought a few things and was thrilled to learn that plastic bags here are still FREE!!! Living on the West coast, like Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and California, and even Colorado - no plastic bags. I really miss the ones with the handles, and this store had plenty! I purchased a lot of stuff just so I could have some plastic bags to take home. On the way out, we were greeted by a gentleman named "Chau". He said to my husband, "hey, you should be carrying all the bags!" to which he took the bags out of my hands and handed them to my husband. Then he proceeded to make us link arms and said, "Love each other forever!!! Have a good day!!!" Wow. I don't think I've held my husband's hand or arm for several years now. Automotive refused to do an oil change because I didn't have an appointment. Who schedules appointments for oil changes? Their wasn't even a vehicle in either of their oil change bays. This was at 11:40 am. They said they are closing at 4pm and can only do appointments today. So I'm heading to take 5 now to get my oil changed. Customer service used to be a thing. Every store is the same but this one is the worst of all in the area. The employees are the rudest most self centered folks. The worst are the ones that are shopping for other people. They block isles with their big blue carts, push it ahead of them and run into customers, cut in front of customers without ever giving the right of way or apologizing for bad behavior. While shopping late I was not told they were about to close. Once I got to the front to check out they were like "you know we're closed right?" They didn't make an announcement on the intercom to alert the store which was very inconvenient for me. Just another huge Walmart that carry's everything you can imagine. Love the deli section they have with all the fresh lunch meats and cheeses they carry. During lunch they carry fresh chicken nuggets and steak fries for a great price. Lots of parking and lots of camaras to make you feel safe especially at night. read more

Great store with friendly staff who will offer to assist and carry heavy items to the front. However, if you reach the cash register, assistance stops there. One of my items needed a price check so my options were to either leave my purchased items unattended while I fetch a duplicate item they could scan or do without. Okay, they did offer to watch my purchases while I fetched but then I would have to wait in line again. This is a very stupid policy and I suggest grocery shopping elsewhere. read more

It's Walmart. Has what you need or not. Seems like they don't have as big a variety. This one is the closest super-center to the University. This time of year packed with students and parent's buying items for college life. So be prepared for long lines and item shortages. Really miss Wal-Mart's old policy of opening s new line when they had more than 4 in line. This one has a Rally's in it. I'd review that but it needs a Yelp page. Pretty good burger joint. I refuse to use the self check out lines as I feel they take jobs from people. Plus I should get the employee discount for doing a cashier's work but such is the world we live in today. The pharmacy is so unprofessional it's ridiculous.... the pharmacist specifically Diedra specifically. When I went in to get my diabetes medicine she told me I need to lose weight and when I asked her what she was talking about she called me a "fatty". I haven't had this issues with any other pharmacist, just her. Every time I have gone in and dealt with her she has made some rude comments to her workers acting like I couldn't hear her. She is an absolute bitch and she does not deserve to have a customer service job when she doesn't care about the customers.... read more

If you haven't tried their grocery pick up, you are missing out. Everything was there, cold items were cold frozen were frozen. They picked the nicest produce too. The young man that brought my groceries out was so polite and kind. When he heard it was my first time trying it out he ran in and got me a goody bag. I will definitely use this service again. This review is for the automotive department at this specific wal-mart. I have never before in my life been treated the way I was when I dropped off my car for two new tires on 11/17/2011. The employees behavior and attitude was completely unacceptable. I was told that my car would be done within 30 minutes. There were no other customers in line for the tire lane and two techs available to work on my car. I told them what I wanted done (two new tires & rotation - no additional warranty). They gave me a beeper to indicate when my car was done and I went on my way to do my shopping. After 1 hour of shopping and checking out, I went to customer service because I had a cart full of groceries and the beeper had not gone off yet. Customer service called automotives and discovered that they had not even TOUCHED my car yet and that they would need an additional HOUR. Needless to say at this point I was irritated. I had customer service to relay to them to not even worry about it - that I would go pick up my car and take it elsewhere. Between the time it took me to walk from customer service to automotive, they had pulled my car in and started working on it - in fact, they had it jacked up and 3 of the 4 tires already off. The other tech was in the middle of putting a new tire on one of the rims! This was AFTER I told them to forget it! They completely ignored my wishes and by that time I was stuck having to pay for services that I did not want. They were quite aware that I was very irritated so the entire job only took 20 minutes after I had arrived at automotive. When it came time for them to add up my invoice, it totaled up to $50 more than it should have. The cashier, who was the same individual who put in my service order, tried to charge me for an additional warranty, even though he was more than aware I declined it, and originally misquoted me on the cost of the tires... which jacked up the price per tire by $15, and he didn't even bother to explain the extra cost or admit his mistake!!! When I asked him to fix it (at least take off the warranty), he became very agitated and slammed down my paperwork, car key and was punching the keys on the register violently - all of this followed by a huge sigh and a "FINE THEN!" I was absolutely appalled. I will NEVER use walmart's automotive department again. I will willingly pay more at another tire store than deal with this kind of unacceptable behavior again. I contacted customer service, and that resulted in me receiving a phone call from the store manager who apologized for how I was treated. Apology or not, I will never do business in that department again and probably never go that particular walmart ever again. Don't waste your time and money here - go elsewhere. read more

This review is specifically about this store's grocery pick up service. It. Is. Excellent!!!! The teams are efficient, both with shopping and getting the order to your car. They are friendly and make you almost feel like family. The shoppers always make great substitutions as necessary. I highly recommend giving Wal-Mart grocery pick up a try, and hope your experience is as good as mine has been since February! read more

I went to this Walmart two days ago and it was unbelievably dirty! The floors had spills all over that didn't look like they had been cleaned up for quite some time I probably will not go to the store again unless major changes are made to the cleanliness. read more

Had one of the worst experiences today. I went in to buy groceries and picked up a big box of swiffer sweeper wets. I shoved the receipts in one of my bags and as I'm going out the door they ask to see my receipt for my high dollar box of swiffer ($11). I start looking in my wallet and pull out the neatest looking Walmart receipt I see (thinking it was the correct one). They tell me they NEED to see the receipt the my fancy swiffers on it. I stand at the door with two small children and a line building up behind me furiously searching for my priceless swiffer wipes receipt. Another employee comes over and asks what's going on, trying to see if I am trying to escape with the valuable wipes. I finally found the receipt in one of my bags and showed it to the Walmart police. She says "ok" and hands it back. They stop everyone who doesn't have an item in a bag. Swiffers won't fit in a bag but apparently if someone wanted to, they could stuff some old Walmart bags in their purse or pockets, pack them full and walk out, but if you have an $11 box of swiffer wipes, better believe they will pat you down and give you a cavity check before your allowed to escape. read more

Walmart's are pretty much the same. They've grown so large they don't care about loosing a single customer. If you have a problem you won't get a solution. They seem like they don't care enough anymore to make the consumer feel as if they matter in the slightest. Worst customer service imaginable strictly because they don't need your business. My experience shopping for a camera here: I was in the Walmart last Sunday night. I needed to buy a camera to give as a gift, the next day. I went to the electronics department, where one would normally buy a camera. I ask where the cameras were and someone directed me to the area where you can get your photos developed. All of the camera's were behind glass (which is normal) but what was strange is that no one had followed my over there to help me and the photography department was deserted. The selection of cameras was small and sad compared to a store like Target. I decided to make due and I picked out a $200 camera that I was interested in. I walked around looking for someone to help me and finally found the same man who sent me over there. He told me that someone in the photo department would have to unlock the case. Then he determined that they had gone home for the day and therefore no one could let me in the case. WHAT???? I'm trying to spend $200 here. I gave up, took my money and went home. I knew that the next day I could find much better service and selection at Target, and someone there there would be willing to take my money and sell me a camera. read more

I ordered an online pick up for when I got back into town but we ended up getting in a little after 8pm when the pick up is closed. I asked an employee if I could still get my purchases and they went above and beyond to make sure they could find a staff member that knew how to use the pick up system to get me my groceries. I have been shopping at this Walmart for a few years now and have always had a positive experience with the staff and management. They constantly show amazing customer service over the other locations in this area. read more

Parking is huge but getting in to lot off main road is kind of a beast. Meaning if you miss the first entrance on the east side you have to go all the way around. While the store looks older, the inside has been updated and store is very well set up. The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful and store was super clean. Don't use reusable bags at this store. If you don't like using their petroleum-based, non-biodegradable plastic bags, you should shop elsewhere. I had been a regular at this store for years; I liked it well enough--most of the employees are friendly and helpful. But for a good while now, every time I go in I've been stalked by their "undercover" employee simply because, as I found out today, I am an environmentally conscious consumer who uses a reusable Walmart shopper's bag. Walmart sold me the reusable bag, but when I avoid using their plastic bags and, instead, use it to shop, they target me as a potential shoplifter. Thank you Walmart for selling me a reusable bag; then paying your employee to stalk me for using that bag. First off, It's hard to be a sustainably conscious consumer and continue to shop at Walmart--even if they are trying to better their image with a few vegan and vegetarian options. But now if I don't use their petroleum-based, non-biodegradable plastic bags, I am told that I will continue to be followed around by their not-so-subtle undercover employee, an angry lady with a bad haircut who creepily peers over clothing racks, pop displays, and produce stands at me while I'm trying to make purchasing decisions. I once thought about approaching her and asking her if I could help her. During one of her stalking sessions, I thought about letting her peruse my bag and check my receipts at the door if it would mean she would let me shop without her constantly eyeing me. If I do go back to Walmart again, I think I have the solution. I would gladly let her hold my reusable bag while I shopped. This would certainly benefit us both: She could more closely monitor my activities in a way that isn't creepy, and I would have a shopping assistant to carry my goods. In all seriousness, in past visits I've tried to ignore her. But today, after being followed from department to department, from area to area, and aisle to aisle, and after having the final insult of her appear at the sliding doors for me--just after I checked out and was approaching the exit--to hear an alarm go off (which never happened, because I pay for everything I buy), after all that, I finally had enough. Here's who I am. I'm the type of person who will spend more money on a product if it is sustainable and environmentally-friendly. I recycle every week. I compost. I'm a vegetarian. I am NOT a shoplifter, and I especially don't like being targeted as one just because i refuse to use their petroleum-based, non-biodegradable plastic bags. I sometimes go to Natural Foods stores (Ozark Natural Foods, Natural Grocer's, etc.). I've never been targeted as a possible shoplifter because I bring in a reusable shopper's bag. I will be going to these places or others now. Tomorrow I'll return my reusable bag and ask for a refund. I don't still have the receipt for it, but it has their name on it, along with their yellow starburst logo. I can't use it without being creeped on and insulted and made to feel indignant, so what's the point of having it? I've spoken with management twice about this, and they've been understanding and nice. But they told me that if I use their reusable bag, I'll be targeted as a potential shoplifter. One of them actually promised to have a word with her. And I'm told to let management know if it happens again, but I don't see myself shopping there again. Just beware if you're an environmentally-conscious consumer who plans to shop at this Walmart--you'll be followed and creeped on. read more

My fiance purchased a dozen roses for me which looked good the evening he brought them home. I immediately put them in water with the special packet. The next morning they were completely wilted. I though I would recut the stems as that sometimes helps the flowers come back and nearly all of the leaves were falling off. What a waste of money. It's sad to say something that should be so special turned out to be a thorn in our side! read more

I recently came in and got an oil change and got my tires rotated on my jeep, and the tire and lube people snapped off not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4, yes 4. Of my lugnuts. I came in with none missing at all. I was told it was torqued down and that it was safe and I wouldn't have any problems. But I was driving down the interstate and my tire almost came completely off my front right rotor. They only wanted to take responsibility for one of them only because I saw him snap the last one with my own eyes. And he only gave me one lugnut back because he acted like he didn't break off the other ones. So I will NEVER be taking my vehicle back to Walmart EVER again. The manager Bob doesn't care at all and he needs to be fired and replaced for not doing his job the right way and fixing my vehicle that his workers broke. So I will not be paying a dime for repairs. Either Walmart will, or I will proceed with plans to sue. read more

I rarely post reviews, but I have had such consistently good service at this specific Walmart, that I felt the need to remedy this. The main reason I go to this location is because I am disabled (with a service dog), and find that they are the most accommodating. Unlike other stores, even other Walmart locations, they address me and do not acknowledge, or even try to talk to my dog. Whether I go during regular business hours, or in the earliest hours of the morning (usually the case), I tend to find helpful, friendly faces. They go out of their way to ask me if I need help, and will often do very nice things like lift cases of water if they see me attempting to do so unassisted. I appreciate things like this, especially when I have to shop by myself, and it makes me feel less stressed to do so. I have also recently began using their Walmart grocery pickup service, and other than one small hiccup in the system (which they went above and beyond to fix), it has been fantastic! They load the groceries into my car for me, and make sure that everything is correct before I leave. Overall, I am thrilled with this Walmart and I drive the extra distance to go to it specifically because of how much the employees care. read more
