So it's been 3 yrs since we have been in this Walmart..it used to be messy, dirty but they have done a lot in the remodeling of this location and are still in process of that.. the thing I hate is almost all registers are self checkout, and u can never find help on the floor.. the registers that do have a person checking out seem tinier less belt space. I hope when they finish this remodel it will be much nicer and more customer friendly.. read more

It is an ok walmart. Their clothes section is actually pretty good, though. Everything else is ok. The restrooms are usually not clean and smell horrible. I was impressed they made a mother's room and family restroom finally. Stocking is always going on, so the aisles get pretty crowded. The shelving is disorganized alot of the times. It is hard to find workers on the floor. This parking lot, man, I never feel safe in it. I have just had too many uncomfortable encounters in it, so I might just never feel safe no matter what. They did put in police cameras and have a police officer up front. But eeeehhhhh....still not feeling it. read more

Funny story, when we first bought our summer place down here I did a search for Walmart. I got this Foley location sooo #1 son and I would make 2 or more trips a day here for a week or more while we were putting everything in order during the move in. This is about 10 miles away and with summer traffic it's a time-consuming bunch of runs. It was a weird coincident that I stumbled upon a local Walmart that was a 5-minute easy trip and it was SO much nicer. I felt pretty silly and haven't been back to the Foley location since then and here's why. Finding someone to answer a question in this store was a chore, finding anyone who knows how to answer a question was impossible. The stocking of shelves was subpar and not the cleanest of locations by far. Nothing organic in the produce sections, I mean zero, not cool. I could go on, but what's the point? Bottom line: The Gulf Shores Wally World is big, clean, well-stocked and the people are nicer, nuff said. read more

Woman with 3 small ones needed a cart as I was leaving so I give her my cart. Nothing on the shelves. No ribs for Labor Day. Did not have any of the baked beans I prefer. Personal care area the same, nothing on the shelves. And don't give me this stuff of short staffed. Plenty of jobs out there. Bunch of lazy people just don't want to work. Was okay until I started to driveout of thefar West parking lot where the carts go in a 12-13 year old boy dressed in all black to blend stood outside the store rapidly texting a tracking devices placed on a car location to as many strangers as he could. This is what his parents teach him. To stalk strangers covertly. This iss despicable not to mention a felony. Walmart needs to place cameras, confiscate phones of offenders along with all texted associates. There is no room in a lawful society for felonious sport of a few evil sinners who like to teach others how to betray their God, their ethics, their country's constitution, by setting precedent s that very well may become a norm as all is abandoned in these end times. God has a special punishment for those who lead others to sin and abandon faith. This got to be the absolute worse service I have ever seen anywhere. First I went in the store. It horrific. Looked like a hurricane was coming. Then I went to pick up just a few things. They only had one of them. I decided while I was there to go check out sporting goods. Decided to buy a shotgun they had on display. I waited..... and waited... and waited some more. No one ever came. This is 1:30 in the afternoon. So I tried to call the store to get help. Called twice. No one ever even answered. So I go up to the front of the store. I ask for the Manager. She finally came. She tried calling someone. Could not find anyone. Then she paged for someone to come. After 20 minutes someone comes by. This lady was real nice, but said there was no one that could help me. The manager did not offer to walk back there with me. Nothing. So after an hour I checked myself out with that one item and left. The absolute worst I have ever seen. Items located on the internet are either in the wrong aisle or not in the store at all. Their rotisserie chickens are overcooked and dried out. Quite often there are no carts in the store. You have to bring one in from the parking lot. Self-checkout aisles are too narrow. Some cashiers are not properly trained. Prices are often missing on items. In general, this particular Walmart is horrible. read more

Wish I could give it zero stars no one answers the phones I've been calling for an hour

The pharmacy is a prime example of willful intent to sabatoge an elderly person and I believe I will report them as the management has ignored my complaints by phone. I would never go back in this lifetime but, have no choice as I go to assist my parent. A liquid medication came without measurement quantity. I called and they laughed at me stating it came in pints a term not used in medicine as all is metric. Also, male diverse pharmacist stated wrong class of medication when asked then tried to trick me into discontinuing the medication despite my telling him, no. I have never experienced outright liars from a professional group and distrust to willfully sabotage. e.g., Quantity on liquid medication missing and gave elderly person in NEED 20 leaving out measurement quantity out of 240 cc per order. Called them and they Refused to question or call Doctors. Could hear my call placed on speaker and pharmacist reply that the medicine came in pints giggling with other staff. Pints is never used in medicine as is a standard measurement and not exact. Reviewed with Doctors on follow up visit ordered correct quantity 240 cc or ml sent to pharmacy. I have no other avenue than to assume Walmart Pharmacy is truly enjoying sabotage and senior abuse of prescriptions. Day pharmacist told me they ran out of the stuff protecting her cohort's illicit behavior and that was that. Worthless in other words. The evening diverse cashier looks sideways and giggles to herself much like a crazed person enjoying an inside joke. No Kidding. I pray for these people nightly as is Gods teachings. Reminiscent of the people in Noah`s days who did perish and rightly so. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would. Went in with my wife to do some grocery shopping and tried to buy a bottle of wine but she didn't have her id. Even though she's 25 anyways I took her home and went back and they still would not sell me the wine even though I'm the one drinking it and buying it with my Id in my hands. If this is the case in broad daylight, I suspect this store has a big roach problem. Rude employees. Grandson was in another lane making his own purchases. I had over $70. In various grocery items already rung up. When told because he was "with me" and 18 they would sell me the 6 pack of beer. A 1/4 of a century shopping Wal-Mart , close to 15 years at this location, and this was the first time this happened. When I said I'd go to a different cashier I was told it wouldn't matter. I'd still have to go to the back of the store to pick up the same 6 pack and he could not be anywhere near me! Customer service was no better. I walk with an obvious limp. It would be very painful to return to that area needlessly. (I had needed milk and biscuits as well the first time) Both employees were rude and arrogant. Had I not needed the items in my purchase for a party my Granddaughter was going to, had we not been pressed for time I would have returned it all and gone out of my way to Publix. If you want unhelpful, hard to find, rude employees than the Foley Wal-Mart is just the place for you! read more

The only reason I am leaving a five star, for this review is because of an employee named Miss Terrica. Had it not been for her and her wonderful customer service and her positive attitude and great personality. I would be leaving a one star review. I was in the dairy area with my three-year-old daughter and I was trying to get milk. There was no 1% milk on the shelf there was only fat-free. However all of the fat-free milk was expired. It had expired on 9/27. The first employee that walked by didn't even stop to help me as I'm asking a question she continues to walk and say I'm not on the clock that was the most rudest and disrespectful response. I could've gotten then the second employee he did stop and said I'll go around and see who's working back there well I waited 15 minutes and nobody showed up. So then Miss Therica came by now mind you she has the really big shopping cart where she's trying to process an online order, but in the middle of that she stops what she's doing goes into the milk cooler and hands me to gallon of the 1% milk that I need. She didn't go look for another employee she didn't tell me she was going to go find somebody and never come back and she didn't look at me and say I'm not on the clock. She took those few extra moments out of what she was already doing to go get what I needed. She is by far one of the sweetest and most respectful employees that I've seen at Walmart in a very long time she had a smile on her face the entire time she was helping me she didn't half and puff or blow her breath but took those few minutes at her. What she was doing to help me and made me feel like what I needed mattered. That is excellent customer service. Foley, Walmart should be super proud of her, because had it not been for her you wouldn't be getting a five star review from me. read more

Like the WalMart's we know of up here but on roids. Its like the offspring of a one night stand between WalMart & Market Basket. Down south, this is the place to go. Everyone goes at least once a week. Everyone worked here at least once. And every type of person can be found here any given day. Back to the store. The on -line/ pick up customers have taken precedent over the in store shoppers. parking spaces closest to the store are reserved for pick up orders. The aisles are crowded with the big carts with blue crates being filled by employees for online orders. They are placing carts in the middle of the aisles as the rush to fill the on line orders, and some are quite rude ,giving attitude that you are in there way. It is tough to go in there ! read more

This store is the worst Walmart my family and I have ever been to. On top of my husband being accused of stealing almost every time he goes into the store, today we encountered and extremely rude employee that yelled at my husband I. front of everyone to stop bouncing a basketball (that we were testing out to buy). Naturally, after being confronted so rudely we were upset. We told him we were simply testing product(not throwing the ball or anything simply dribbled it twice), after we told him that he continued to be rude. We told him we need his name he was rude again, telling us he was going to call the cops. He could've asked nicely for my hisband to quit dribbling, and everything would've been ok on our end. As we were walking out he got right behind me, at which point I turned and said you need to say excuse me, and he rudely said excuse me! A manager was present for half of this conversation but did nothing. I spend thousands of dollars at this store every month and will not be doing so from here on out. read more

We recently moved to Foley and have visited this Walmart several times already. It is clean and well stocked. The employees are very happy to help me out when I can't find something and will walk me to it if needed. Trying to purchase the things you need in a new store can be pretty tough when it is completely reverse from the one you are used to so the kindness of the staff has been appreciated.
