And we could walk our happy butts across the street at literally anytime of day pretty much. Anything you need for the beach? Got it. Amazing beer/seltzer selection? Duh. Need some fresh produce? Got it. Need some snacks? Got that too. We went almost every day for something we needed. And was it alittle overpriced yeah maybe. But not one of us had to get in our car and drive somewhere. This new business replaced the Happy Harbor store that closed over two years ago. It's on County Road 6 just north of the Co Rd 4 intersection. It's at the same physical location as a planned marina and planned restaurant. Oyster Bay Market is on the upper level and the neighborhood's only convenience store. While they were still in the process of ramping up with some empty spaces inside in my first visit they told me that as of next week, 7/12/21, they will be open full-time and stocked with wine, beer, tobacco, drink, snacks and snacks and more. They've got ice, groceries, bbq supplies and even some beach supplies and it will be interesting to see just how much stuff they'll be making available as they grow. Bottom line: The nearest convenience store is 5 miles away and this location will serve all of Plash Island and a lot of residences on the intercoastal waterway, the bays and the Bon Secour river, a welcomed community addition.

This store also has a great selection of frozen veggies which sadly a lot of other stores just don't seem to carry. This is an older store but they do offer a lot of things the newer places don't have. They have a dedicated butcher and a dedicated seafood counter. Overall this is a place that just seems to offer a lot more than many other grocery stores in the area.

The teller put in my phone number and they said it was excepted. Clipped coupons, did what I was supposed to do. Did not get discount, probably would have saved me $20 or so. Check out was busy so I said I would go to customer service. Went to talk to the guy that was at the counter, after I waited for him to stop chit chatting. I explained what had happened he apologized and I showed him my phone. He just stared at it and said, I'm sorry??!! I told him to forget it and I just won't come back, he said I'm sorry. I said on my way out,"if you were sorry you would have done something"! I truly believe he really didn't know what to do? I hope to goodness he wasn't the manager!!! I've been in management for 30 years and I have never had such an incompetent service person? I frequent this piggly wiggly at least 3-4 times a month and never leave there without spending over $100, I know that's not much but this day and age everyone is trying to be frugal. Don't let that negative review deter you from going by the store very well ran very well equipped and always up for a good laugh when you go in. Decent prices.
