Associates are very crafty about avoiding you, so they don't have to help. Then you go to the service desk and the training these people have is so poor. They are argumentative and haven't got a shred of polite customer service. I only wish Goodland had somewhere else to go. read more

The management is horrible and the store is dirty. We have lived here in town for two years and have never been to a Walmart that is as bad as this one and we have travelled to most of the states. Stocking is really bad, and there is nothing on the shelves which is ridiculous considering there is less than 5000 people in town. Check your expiration dates because you will get expired food. The hiring manager is rude, and gossips about everyone in town. if your traveling and need to stop at Walmart make sure you stop in Colby before you hit Goodland Kansas. We were having a problem at self checkout and we asked for help and 4 employees sat there ignoring us. I believe my boyfriends card chip wasn't working so we asked to just scan with an employee. A young man ignored me as I said can you cancel the request and ring us up with an employee and kept swiping his card until I demanded he stopped. This 'Super center' is really small but it passes the super center test because they have groceries and are open 24 hours a day. Selection is very poor compared to the companies locations in bigger towns but it is something for the people of Goodland to go to I suppose. read more

I sent a copy of this to the state board of Pharmacies ! I am writing in regards to the Pharmacy in Walmart in Goodland , Ks. I have several complaints , the most important is the phone is seldom answered. I realize that this is due to under staffing, but my husband and I are not in a position to run down there all the time. It is now 10:20 A.M. , they open at 9 and I have called repeatedly and no one answers the phone. My husband is very ill and we had to go to Denveryesterday they have upped his Chemo and several other prescriptions were called in for him. On several occasions they do not have the medications and I have to drive to another town to pick them up. I have no problem with that since he has to have his medications . But I have been told in the past untruths about not receiving the order when his DR. has confirmed it was sent . I realize they are understaffed but to knowingly lie and not answer their phone is unacceptable . I am sending acopy of this to Corporate Walmart because I truly feel that the employees at this pharmacy are sincerely doing their best and that Walmart is to blame for under staffing a pharmacy that and entire town relies on. We have 1 other Rx that we will be changing over to that is much higher in price but is but I hear is much more reliable. Very seldom do they have the needed medications in stock, our DR.called in an Rx for my husband on Wed. and by Sat. still nothing, when Icalled to ask about it the girl who DID answer the phone told ME to transfer it ,I did not even know what the medication was. Retail Hell in all senses of the word, but it's what Goodland has. Selection is pretty poor compared to larger places, some of the cashiers aren't smart enough to bag things like eggs and bread correctly. Chances are they'll have all your basic necessities, but you're better off waiting until you hit a larger community or ordering off the Internet. read more
