If she's gonna do that, she could've just told me I'd come back the next day. Over 3 weeks ago, I placed a custom cake order for my 21st birthday to be picked up 5/26 10am. At 7:05am on pick up day (day i'm making this post) I got a text saying my order was canceled with no reasoning. So 3 hours prior to pick up they cancelled my order. I was told I could come in and get a gift card for the amount of the cake but they couldn't do anything about it because they didn't have a cake decorator. read more

My relative and I went to Grandville Walmart yesterday afternoon May 20th, 2024, then went to self-service checkout, this employee guy standing in front of the self-service checkout was clearly staring at Me and Watching me while my relative was paying her item. That is a big NO NO for that employee and That is very Rude to Stare and Watch at Me. There was an older lady there also doing the same thing. I don't like that, and I will Never Ever Go Back to Grandville Walmart Not Ever Again and Neither is My Relative saying she will Not Go Back either. This is written about the Walmart on Kenowa near my home. I live alone and lack community in my everyday living. That was until, I was blessed with a conversation by a greeter named Juelz, I do hope I'm spelling that correctly. She has virtually changed my live. She is beyond just a greeter, she welcomes you, takes time to have a conversation with me. This is a blessing because there are days that go by when I don't have the pleasure of a simple conversation. Not anymore, Juelz always is there to greet me, ask if I'm doing well, helps to answer any concerns or questions, I have about the store. Most importantly she is the sole reason that I've started to stretch my old body. Watching her do her job and simultaneously do simple stretches have me wanting more for my health and ability to move, cuz at 63 growing old is not for the weak. She is the 5-star rating I given above. I've been to COSTCO, SAM'S CLUB, & Meijers and have never been greeted in the way Juelz greets the customers she serves at Wal-Mart. Now recently, I dare say that management took her chair away and I will ask that management weigh the chair against her performance. Let her have her chair back. It's not hurting anyone; it was her use of the chair that started my relationship with her in the first place. She is just so awesome, caring, professional, and above all the kind of person any company would strive to have in a greeting position. She is the reason that when I get into my car to run up to the store for a few things and mind you I can select Meijers, Aldi's, Costco, or Walmart - I choose Walmart. Let that sink in. This walmart is an absolute joke, for one parking is cramped and very small. People everywhere trying to find a spot, and people parking in the pick up lanes that are designated for fast pick up. I had a pick up Oder. I picked it up on Sunday after church and before I had to meet family for lunch. I ran in to pick up fresh cut fruit. After arriving home I washed the fruit to arrange it on a tray. It was all rotten. The pineapple was rancid. The strawberries looked good on top and the Mellon was all mushy. I tried to call Walmart. Got off work after 14 hours and decided I'll go pick up my package. I checked in at 9 at this location waited over 10 mins nobody comes. Then one employee comes out looks at my car does a full Uturn and goes back in so I'm thinking maybe he wanted to make sure I was there nope. At this point it's 9:15 so I wait a little longer now it's 9:30 I get out my car go in and the guy that came out was sitting in the pick up area playing on his phone. So I asked is pick up close he says no I'm like well I been sitting out here for over 30 mins he just looks at me and raised his eyebrows I'm like can I get my package. Definitely a solid place. I have consistently driven from Holland to go there if I needed certain items because the one in Holland is just really really disorderly and nasty, and the employees treat customers like they're idiots. Grocery pickup was super speedy, and they were super friendly and communicated extremely well. I was on my way in probably 3 minutes after I pull in. Store is clean, employees are actually helpful. This is a good store here in Grandville. About 30 minutes away from the Haworth plant exit (for those in Holland who wouldn't mind a bit of an extra drive). read more

Every time I go to this Walmart they are extremely helpful and nice. Honestly they always have someone on registers which makes getting out of there even faster. I'd also like to say whenever I have a question about my MoneyCard their team is always on the ball with the answer. I went there recently to cash my check and buy some flowers for my mom and grandma as a late Mothers Day present. The girl told me if I wanted I could deposit my check on my card and still get some cash from my check without it all going on to my card. Then, I went to the gardening center and they had a beautiful selection of hanging flowers that weren't dead or overly expensive and the gentle back there was super helpful because I couldn't reach one of the hanging plants and got it down for me. read more

I was shopping with my 92/yo grandfather, who needed minutes added to his track-phone, we asked John in the technology department for some help. He refused and was beyond rude. We simply wanted him to walk us through how to do this ourselves, but told us that he was not able to do it "for us" which is not what we were asking for. I made it clear multiple times that I understood and respected that, but just asked that he walk us through it so we are able to do this ourselves. To which he said in a very demeaning tone " you can do it yourself it's your phone." I was beyond disgusted with the way that this man was speaking to us. Quite frankly, John gave us horrible customer service, and should not be working in a department such as customer service. He was rude and nasty. read more

I prefer this store over the super centers at Alpine or Holland because whenever I come in, it's clean and not overly crowded. The associates are generally helpful, often taking time away from their task to point me in the right direction when I can't find something. I love using Site to Store, though the call button doesn't work and I need to walk across the vestibule sometimes to get someone to the counter. I'm sick of having people complain that it's closed when the sign clearly states they close at 9 PM! I've walked in so many different days where there's someone standing in a dark room whining that no one is helping them, at 10:30 or later! Customers feel so entitled these days... Last week I needed a key made ASAP and one of the sporting goods associates took me all the way to automotive so I could have one made. When it didn't fit the lock, they exchanged it for a new one, which worked perfectly. Right now they're remodeling to become a real super center, so it's a bit hectic. I wouldn't recommend going in on between 5 and 7 PM, because that seems to be when it's the most chaotic, with everyone shopping after work. Overall, other customers can be really rude and pushy, but for a WalMart it's pretty good. That and the only store in the area that can beat some of their prices is the Aldi's in Jenison, so that's awesome. read more

Seems like everything in this Walmart is low quality. The staff is extremely rude and they literally only have one lane open in the whole store anytime I am in there it's getting to be a bit annoying that I can't get my shopping done in less than 2-3 hours because of how slow it is there. I hate checking out of this location because I either have to deal with someone's horrible attitude at the register or while they fix the self-checkout that always breaks. When entering into the store to attempt to purchase I was talked to very rudely by a csm stating Walmart doesnt honor its online prices. I purchased several looking for the prices to be adjusted after i was able to get in contact with the store manager. April wasnt willing to try to resolve the issue. Slowest check out ever, five lanes open. One woman working the line has taken over ten minutes for one person

I know Walmart always has a bad rep, but I checked online first to see if they had what I needed and it said it was in stock. We went in and it wasn't there so I asked someone if they could check. They told me, "if it's not where it should be then we don't have it." I asked nicely if they could double check in the back and the lady said, "I know we wouldn't have it back there." I've worked in retail for 4 years now, and that is extremely poor customer service. I tried to call another location to see if they could check for me, and I was on hold for 5 minutes. The operator kept picking up and asking who I needed to talk to and finally helped me out after 10 minutes of waiting. I don't know why I keep shopping at Walmart when I could just go to Meijer. I wouldn't tell anyone to shop here unless it was a quick in and out. read more

This Walmart is only 5 minutes' drive from y home, and they have everything you need from grocery, clothes, shoe, electronic and garden on site. They even have Pharmacy fill your medicine while you're doing your shopping. They even have Auto center to do oil change or replace tires while you are doing shopping what you need. So the price is low and convenient. read more

A somewhat better Walmart location and they've even made it a super center not that long ago so they have limited produce and a small frozen/refrigerator section with TV dinners and lunch meat and dairy and what not. The thing I HATE is the crazy small aisle size. In most aisles if someone stops to look at something you're stuck behind them. This was our first and will be our last ever ordering from Walmart. We got an email confirming that we could pick up our order by 10 pm tonight. When we get there the guy tells us there closed when the sign behind him clearly states otherwise. Then a manager who smells like he drank a whole bottle of scotch comes and says I guess he could help us. While helping us he states there short staffed but has multiple employees just standing around. I know Walmart gets a bad rap overall, but I have to give a big thumbs up to most of the folks who work at this particular Walmart. Most of the store employees are very friendly and helpful. The store is very clean and organized. I have only had 2 cashiers in the past who probably should not be working in customer service, but may be better suited for factory work. I shop here on a regular basis. Ok, so I have been here 3 times this week to pick up bags of mulch. I've purchased 8 bags each time. The 1st time a woman in the garden center came out to help me. The last 2 times there were 2 young men, who are Walmart employees, just standing around inside the store, knew I was getting mulch & NEVER offered to help!! I stopped going to Fruitbasket Flowerland because NO ONE helped me load bags & bags of mulch!!! So, the stars went from 5 to 2!! Get with it guys in the garden center!!! Bought a gift card from walmart Saturday. Figured that it was walmart, its a safe thing. Brought it home and registered it. Called a B&B intending to make a reservation the following Monday. Tuesday morning I check the balance on the card to see if the B&B took the payment so I could call them and get a confirmation number. the gift card site said every last dime was taken off the card. the only ones who knew how much i put on the card was me and the gift card company. I call the B&B they said they neither tried to use the card nor gave the number to any one. so i start jumping through the hoops with gift card fraud dpt. fine out that VANILLA master card gift card company has HORRIBLE HORRIBLE security and just as bad of reviews and they have done this to others. I contact Walmart to tell them what has happened and ask if they vet their suppliers. first email goes completely un answered. send another. no answer. send a 3rd. they reply with "call this number a the gift card company" . thats it, no other comments. THATS what walmart calls customer service. buyer beware. Vanilla mastercard is a fraud, Vanilla doesnt care, walmart doesnt care. you buy one and you stand a good chance of loosing every last dime of that money and walmart wont do a thing to help you. read more
