What a difference from most stores. A huge square with maybe 16 self checkout stations. Only saw a few checkouts with Walmart associates.. I personally HATE SELF CHECKOUT!!! The produce area was horrible. 6 bags of brown romaine lettuce, smallest green onions "thrown on the top shelf", a lot of sections no vegetables (this was a Friday near 11AM). Miguel from 'asset protection' should probably find a new job. This store sold a completely empty video game case that was shrink wrapped, and instead of accommodating the customer or actively listenibg to the issue, he stood there and smirked. and implied the customer was a 'liar' btw talking to a customer with mustard stains on your tshirt is really unprofessional. What assets is he protecting exactly? The paper plate full of hotdogs he had for lunch? or is he expecting triplets? Someone is stealing games and selling empty cases, either in that store or in the warehouse, but Miguel doesn't seem too worried about it. Maybe the police should have a talk with him. read more

If you graduate from hermiston high school you either go to College or Walmart. I think that one of the staff members is a baby daddy to multiple women. Waiting an hour at jewelry counter was not as bothersome as this..... Employee singled me out, did not do her job properly, made alligations, called me a "gringa" so obviously this was race motivated. She stated the store manager has no authority when I asked who the store manager was.? I called customer service was told the store manager would be in the next day at 7am. Took down my info to give to her saying she would call. Yet nothing. I called and nobody would get her on the phone stating she was too busy. This is a good Walmart! Service desk is efficient. There is ample self service checking. It's a very busy store and stock sometimes falls low (I bought the last bag of flour on the shelf yesterday!) but it's the best grocery store in this little town. If you are planning on calling customer service to ask a simple question don't bother nobody is going to answer the phone they might break their arm or hand doing it. Nobody ever answer the phone there it's like they don't have ears to listen. Customer service there needs work and a lady that answers the phone has an attitude problem especially when it comes to one simple question i dont know who she is but she needs to work on her customer service. read more

They have recently moved almost everything and nobody knows where things are. I asked 3 workers (who were filling online orders) where horseradish was since it was no longer where it had always been. Not 1 could tell me or even offered to help. Left and went to Safeway. Would rather drive to Tri cities and shop Winco or Costco. read more

Went to TLE to put new tires on, they couldn't balance one of the tires, still put the tire on and suggested taking it somewhere else to balance it, couldn't offer using a different tire to balance it out. read more

I was very impressed with the automotive department. I also think the workers are pretty nice in the other parts of the building. I had a younger guy that worked in meats ask how my day was going, very nice!! Clean and.... no complaints. Well maybe take down the Mexican music (we in mexico? seems like it sometimes hahah) (ugh) but other than that!! read more

If there was anywhere else in town to buy groceries and house hold things I would shop there. There are never enough check-outs open, stuff is constantly out of stock, and the employees are always less than polite. When checking out I try to make chit chat it's like I have two heads. I absolutely dread going to this place. If there was any other affordable place in town I would go there. The employees are always rude and never seem to know anything, even the managers know nothing. There are never enough check outs open, and half the time they have the self checkout closed. I wish I could go there one time and not leave with a complaint but it never happens. Place doesn't have any customer service, they simply just don't care. read more

Christopher is the Service Manager at this Wal Mart and I had to go out of my way to give him my thanks. We had a defective tire issue while on our family vacation. We were driving home from Portland on our way to Arizona when this happened. We put on our spare and slowly made our way into this Hermiston Wal Mart. They were near closing, so we called and explained our situation. Christopher assured us he would take us in. We arrived there and Christopher did not have our tire in stock. However, he began calling around to neighboring city stores and checking inventory. Ultimately we found a Discount Tire in a neighboring city where we carry a warranty, and stayed the night there. But we were so impressed with the care and concern Christopher showed complete strangers. He told us if we had any issues acquiring a tire to call him and he'd have it shipped out same day and get us back on the road. We truly felt taken care of and in good hands. It's funny how managers always try to put themselves in the best light when things go wrong. The managers at Walmart treat their (associates) like crap. Over worked and under paid, overloaded with duties and then yelled at when things don't get done.
