Down behind the now defunct…read moreOak Hollow Mall, I think a lot of the world forgets this one is there, so it's usually never too crowded, easy to get in and out of and carries the same selection of anything you'd get at any other Target. The staff is friendly and always able to help, they even have a full pharmacy (cvs) on site and a Starbucks. The pricing is the same as any other in the area, and great for everything on your list from clothing to home goods, to groceries or electronics. I've been many times and will be again...only times you want to avoid this spot are during Furniture Market or HPU move in weekend...otherwise, slip the crowds, save your sanity and shop here

It has the feel of TJ Maxx or Marshall. That can be nice sometimes, but I personally wouldn't drive to it again. It does have a really large collection, especially of shirts and pants. I did find that the type of "look" seemed to target a different demographic, so I had trouble finding clothes that I liked. When I looked at the tags, most of the clothing was made in China though, so I'm not sure how long it will last. There were a couple of sections with actual Dillards brands, and they were nicer (in my opinion), but then the prices were more like going to the Mall, so I don't really have a need to drive there. If I lived in High Point, I'd probably visit from time to time, but it's not worth the visit from Winston.

They had a lot of racks full of clothes. Surprisingly all of it was very neat. I rated this a 3 because it wasn't my cup of tea, but I can imagine folks who like to pick through racks of clothing would find this place a hidden gem. Plus none of the clothing were my style. I saw ladies with carts full of clothing. The store had great deals and they were loading up. It is attached to an abandoned mall so the visuals are very old and dated. There is plenty of parking and lots of room that you aren't on top of each other. Those who like to dig for treasure. Have fun exploring!

Off I went to look around at the numerous mattress stores in town. The first place I stopped was here. Brenda was awesome and explained all the specifics for the mattress of my dreams! I went a few other places just to see what else was out there and promptly came back the following day to buy it here. The mattresses are made in High Point and they don't use any chemicals. I'm supporting local and don't have to deal with off gassing! The delivery guys were awesome but the foundation was so tall that I would have had to use a step stool to get in the bed so I called Brenda and asked if she had one that was shorter. Of course she did and they replaced it the next day. I love my new mattress and am sleeping better than I have in years. I would never buy a mattress anywhere else and suggest you check them out if you're looking.

This particular Roses isn't much different in that regard. If you're looking for unique "only in the South" type stuff, this is definitely a place to look for it. I've seen authentic mumus at a Roses along with religious Christmas decor (speaking of Christmas, this is also a good place to get decorations and wrapping paper) and am pretty sure I saw fruitcake being sold here. Customer service is average and this is not an upscale establishment but it definitely has gotten smaller since my youth. If you get the opportunity to go to one, you probably should just for the novelty of it.

The only thing I didn't like was there are five self service checkouts which, is great but then soon as I walked to it I was immediately stopped by a cashier and she took my stuff, check me out and then basically stared me down to give them a customer satisfaction score, which was very uncomfortable. People like self checkout to not have to talk to or deal with people so why have them setup if you still have to deal with a weird worker. It's still a newly opened location, so for now I will go back, we shall see.

Some what of a musty smell. There was a cashier at the counter as I walked in, but there was no greetings. I walked through, I believe all, or almost all of it. It is a large sort of warehouse area. It was very cold inside. I thought their prices were waaaaay too high. Yes, somethings maybe vintage, a lot isn't, yet they want more than if you bought the items new. I would recommend walking through as you might find a unique item you haven't seen elsewhere, however, I would not go back myself.

This place is MASSIVE, so much bigger than I was expecting with all kinds of treasures to find in every corner. The staff greeted us in as we arrived, but left us on our own to explore. Set up as individual vendor booths, some are amazing some not so much, but everywhere you look, you're sure to see something fun, unique, or full nostalgia. I saw many items I remember either having as a child or seeing and my grandparents houses, but also some truly cool items. We've got a short list of items we're debating over, just trying to find the space for them. Pricing varies greatly from space to space and item to item, but overall, I think it was reasonable. You're bound to find something for anyone's taste here. Because of the size we didn't even get through it all, so will be going back again soon to see what more we can find.
