Dropped in around 10:30am on a Friday for a couple of items with my family. They enjoy the pizza and ice cream here, so that is always a stop during our visits. I went to a manned register today and the process was quick and easy. I usually check out at the self check out area but discovered it had been moved. I was curious to know what my experience would be and I was not disappointed. The cashier was kind and greeted me with a smile and warm hello. We were in and out. The parking was the usual but not too bad for a Friday morning. While there, I also picked up a 35 piece set of food storage containers for $7.99! They will definitely come in handy. Overall, glad the foot traffic wasn't so heavy and I could browse a bit today. The scanners at the entrance are a nice addition. I only wish the app had more to offer like some of the other wholesale stores in the area, but overall a quick and easy trip. read more

As someone who's traveled and been in alotta wholesale stores and warehouses , costco is and specifically this location is the worst wholesale store I've ever been to , it's always hot , there is 500 customers and 3 registers open , there is no pay and go like other wholesale stores and the line to get out the store is backed up to the registers because they are checking every receipt in the store , you could spend 10 minutes shopping then have to wait in line for 10 minutes and wait another 10 minutes just to get out the store , Costco is miles behind as a company and chooses to cut corners instead of valuing the customer , I wouldn't recommend getting a membership at all , definitely go the sams club route read more

Don't have much to add. The value on most items is impressive. Just watch buying in bulk. Who needs 5 lbs of cheese? You can save money if you're careful. Also pick your day and time to go to avoid the crowds. They do get you through the checkout pretty quickly. A new item they have is Kirkland Lager. I read a review that said it was pretty good. I don't usually shop here but I had to get a small amount of food because we were getting snowed in due to bad weather, nevertheless my other daughter and I didn't have a membership but was willing to go get one if needed. But this said the way we can use her this one time is if we pay with cash who carries cash these days??? So we was going Zelle my daughter money for her to pay for it he said we can't do that . So he called his manager over and she allowed us to pay with my debit card, so asking why he was acting like this. Considering I'm an actor and in the limelight quite a bit, I always took pride in that I was not too, too vain... or so I thought, until I realized it was time for hearing aids. I do believe some of it is hereditary. My grandfather struggled with hearing, my Mom wore hearing aids and I started to notice in my '50s that I kept hearing only partial conversations or when sitting in the back of the car and the kids were in the front, I couldn't understand a damn thing! I was not going to wear hearing aids! No way!! That's for old people. So I spent a good decade or so pretending to hear yet not laughing at the punch line or getting the pertinent information, asking people to repeat what they just said, screaming, "What??? What???" to the kids over and over again and avoiding visiting restaurants that were noisy. That all worked until the pandemic. Once I had to teach at Elon with a mask on me and a mask on my students, I was done for. It's hard enough teaching with masks, but when everyone must express themselves through a piece of cloth in acting that was hard enough without me being able to hear what they were saying! I remember one of my leading actors in The Little Mermaid. He was handsome and talented and well built and wore hearing aids! I marveled at that. If he can walk around with hearing aids, I need to get over to Costco and get some as well. That's where Mom had gotten hers. I went to a few privates doctors for a second option and the prices were astronomical. No wonder Mom recommended Costco!! Anyway, here I am, 3 years wearing my Costco hearing aids and they have literally changed my life. I hear what everybody is saying! I hear things I didn't even know I was capable of hearing, and when it's time for a nap, I simply take them off and shut the world down. They were a fraction of the price of private practices. The thing that I marvel at the most is the staff. They are incredible! First of all, if you lose a set, they will replace them once for free. I lost my hearing aids in Dubai and I'll be damned if they didn't give me a new one! Every now and then they need to be cleaned and serviced. They get back to me immediately when I leave a message, we pick out a convenient time to come on in and they always bring those babies back to life!! I was just in there the other day after taking a shower while on vacation and got them wet. I thought they were goners for sure this time. I did a little Costco shopping, stopped back and I'll be damned if they weren't as good as new. Every one of the staff members there from the time I was tested, to getting them serviced or replaced are always terrific!! So, in closing, I say to you, if you are like me and your ego is standing in the way of you getting hearing aids, get over it! Most people don't even notice them. And even if they do, they're thinking about it for 2 seconds. Compare that to being able to hear everything around you and this is a no brainer. Costco does it again, and the service, staff and product at their hearing center is like everything else. Top of the line! read more

So we decided to go to Costco and what a great surprise that it is not crowded. Usually I get anxiety from Costco and it was great to know that we could get in out. Love, love, the southern hospitality at this Costco. We're from California so it's pretty cool to visit other Costco's. We ordered pizza ,a hot dog ,and drinks. There was literally no line and no kiosk to pre-order like California. Our only complaint was the pizza. The cheese was burned and it look like there was little sausages on there. We asked for another slice and we were told that all of their pizzas were like that. However, they did offer us to refund which we declined. We just took the burned pizza and rolled with it. What a immature act to do when the card has been processed. We played it back right in here face. That person needs a remedial training in customer service. I don't know why this location has such rude associates. Am in check out and the machine says to put all items in the bagging area. I am trying to read the screen to make sure I got everything and didn't duplicate when the associate comes over and throws the box I had in the cart into the bagging area and then yelled at me twice and pointed saying place all items in the bagging area. No kidding. I understand English. She was quick to assume I didn't listen instead of trying to look over the receipt before lifting the heavy item into the bagging area. I found everything we needed today but the last couple check out experiences ruined the entire visit. Miserable people shouldn't be working in this industry. I understand they want to keep things moving but there's a way to and how not to talk to people to get your point across. And I don't appreciate someone tossing or handling what I'm paying for. While I love costco for the quality, quantity, and pricing of their items. I do often find that they either periodically or permanently stop carrying items that used to be staples at their store. As someone who gets fixated on certain food items when i find something I really love, it is disheartening when this happens. For instance, the red rock deli chips, off the eaten path chips, some of the dog treats. Etc. I will still be a customer for their pharmacy are incomparable and I love some of the food items that are easy for a party. However, I hope they bring some items back and order more to keep in stock longer. read more

I came here to order a cake for a baby shower. It was ready early. They put it in the freezer a day before. That doesn't bother me but some would prefer it fresh. The only way to order a cake at Costco is in person and you can't call to follow up because there's no bakery phone. I don't think that's the best option. However their sheet cakes are very delicious and feed a lot of people for a more than fair price. The cake art wasn't the best but sufficient for what we needed. I think the cake was $23 and fed 50 people. It didn't taste store bought and the filling was so creamy. I recommend to anyone. read more

I made an appointment for my teenage son to get his tires - tires we purchased at COSTCO - rotated. That's it. A very simple tire rotation. My son brought the vehicle to COSTCO directly after school. He arrived at 3:52 for his 4pm appointment. He waited at the service desk, but no one was in sight. He called me in the interim to tell me that no one was around. I told him to continue to wait. Someone finally arrived to acknowledge him at 4:05pm. I called in myself at 3:35pm to find out how long it might be and was told that "all of our appointments last at least an hour." I pointed out that he had an appointment and was there for a simple rotation. The attendant stated that none of that mattered. Nevertheless, I asked him to check on the status of the vehicle ... and, when he came back, I was told that it would be at least another 25 minutes. Oh, yeah, he pointed out that the vehicle was not brought in until 4:05pm ... which was incorrect since no one was actually around when he walked in the door at 3:52pm. 4:05pm was the time someone finally paid attention to him. Bottom line: NO ONE should ever have to wait well over an hour to have their tires rotated, especially when they have taken the time to schedule an appointment. I'm writing this at 4:55pm and my son is still WAITING. Ridiculous. read more

Asked for the 10 pound lean ground beef, received what was labeled 90% but when I checked it closely after I got home it appeared to be much less that 90%! Maybe 70%-75% at best. Very disappointed as we have had good luck with products in that section in the past and from the GSO location and this item was nearly 1/3rd the total price. I love Costco. Many are surprised that my husband and I are executive members (and get our money's worth) as its just us. Even as a family of two, there is so much we can take advantage of here at a discounted/bulk price. We also have the Costco Citi credit card for additional cash back opportunities on purchases (in store, gas, dining, and more). In my opinion, it's a great credit card as far as rewards, so consider it if you are a Costco member. What pay to be a member of Costco? Let us start with the most obvious: Gas. Gas from Costco is cheaper than anywhere else in the area. One of our cars requires premium so we really benefit from the cost savings there. The only down-side is that Costco gas isn't 24/7 like many stations, but it opens like 3+ hours before the store opens and 30 minutes after its closes. You can easily plan and make it work. Inside there is everything from clothing to home goods to all types of food. We are talking from canned, fridge, fresh, frozen, bakery, and prepared. Now Costco doesn't have everything you gonna need, and the items can change from trip to trip but there is enough of the essentials to benefit. My most loved items include the Premiere Protein Shakes, Harvest Snap Peas, Seeds of Change Quinoa and Brown Rice Packets, Organic Maple Syrup, and Basil Pesto. We also get all of the home essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaners, and toiletries here. These items expiration (if any) is so far out you can absolutely get through them (or share with a friend) in time. We also purchase meat here as we can easily separate and freeze it (using our vacuum sealer from Costco) and pull it out as needed. I love seafood and they have a great variety of options. Love their salmon! My husband also loves to smoke meat so enjoys buying a big pork butt or brisket from Costco and smoking it all day, and yes, the result is delicious! Many don't know that Costco also has a great deal on Propane. You can buy an empty tank in store and have them fill it or they will refill existing tanks as long as they aren't expired. You just give them the empty tank when you arrive, and they give you a ticket for the cost to fill. They will fill it while you shop, and you just show them the paid receipt (which you pay for at regular checkout) and you get your filled tank back. Additionally, highly recommend their bag salads. They are super yummy and can feed a group, or we split it up over two meals (the bags usually have two dressing packets making this super easy). They also have a high-quality, yet reasonably priced, wine selection. Also love their prepared foods. The beef bulgogi is amazing! If you haven't tried that you are missing out. You also should buy their wings, chicken pot pie, and cilantro lime shrimp! The food court still isn't what it was pre COVID, but I am happy to see the return on the delicious Chicken Bake! Their pizza (whole or by the slice) and $1.50 hot dog are also worth mentioning. Costco was one of the first stores to require masks and I commend them on their continued enforcement efforts. It helps us all feel more comfortable shopping and enjoying our time at Costco! read more

Gas is top tier, and the GSO location just had major expansion at their pumps so no more racing to and from the pump because 50 cars are behind you anxiously waiting to get their gas. Shoutout to the Greensboro Costco location, bigtime, for the steps they are taking to keep customers and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic! I was apprehensive about going today knowing how crowded it usually is at this location, but they had everything handled. I had to wait in line for about 10 minutes to get in because they're only allowing limited members in the store right now. Tape lines were set 6 feet apart to keep people distant while waiting. Once a good chunk of people came out, they would let more in. Carts were sanitized, and the employees at both doors were given protective-wear and glass shielding at their stations. Walking around the store... well it was like paradise compared to other times I've been here. Plenty of room to move around. Employees were actively enforcing the social distancing policy in the store verbally, and the customers were doing their part. It allowed for a quick experience, and I got everything I needed, including toilet paper! Right now they have a good stock of it, and are limiting purchases to 1 per member, as it should be. Meats were also fully stocked, as well as any other staples you could need. In fact, I didn't see an empty shelf anywhere. At checkout, more of the same. Every OTHER line was open, and tape was on the floor to distance people in line. They had removed the final line of merchandise to another spot to create more room. You could not approach the conveyor belt until the other person was clear, and an employee wearing gloves and mask had to unload your cart for you to check out. The cashier was also shielded by glass. On the whole, I saw a rigid commitment to making this essential business as safe as possible for customers and employees. They open at 10 and I arrived at 9 (insert eye roll here). I ate at Panera and then just sat in my car for 30 minutes. I was scrolling on my phone and when I glanced up, the parking lot was packed and people were chomping at the bit to get in. The picture is 5 minutes before opening. Crazy! This store is always very clean, well stocked and the employees are nice and very efficient. My only suggestion would be to add row signage, even generic categories would be helpful. When I was checking out, I heard a worker tell a supervisor that no one was working produce. She jumped into action. While exiting, I got behind someone eating a large pepperoni pizza. OUR FIRST experience with this store on the HIGHEST membership level was SO BAD I am not sure if I will ever go back in that store. They us up while getting the physical membership card and put us in a HOLDING area like we were criminals, YOU CAN NOT BUY anything if you do NOT have the card, THEN the worse thing of all, We were going through self check out and there was no hand scanners so we had to PHYSICALLY lift everything out of the cart, more on that in a second, THE MOST INSULTING thing was my wife and SEVERELY DISABLED son in a wheelchair was asked to move and not block the walk way going out of self check, 1 there was NO ONE trying to get by, SHE made it a POINT to move him. 2 and after he moved there was NO ONE going through the middle where he was sitting beside his parents for the next 45 minutes. THEN after moving out of HER WAY, I was still struggling because of no hand held scanner and I said something, the SAME woman said oh we have them, but offered NO ASSISTANCE. I am a disabled VET, blind in one eye and have severe RA in both hands. I did NOT ask for help and she did not offer it, why should I ask a woman who looked down on my disabled son as an INCONVENIENCE for anything. I was INFURIATED so I asked to speak to a manager, they, 2 other males in the area said they would get me one, HOWEVER not one of them called ANYONE. After 5 minutes we went to another employee and she did get a female lower level manager, THAT manager who I can not remember her name was very apologetic and did something NO OTHER employee did in the whole store, she SMILED, she said she is going to elevate to the assist store manager RAY who did the same thing and showed us ALL KINDS of coupons etc and telling us how much better COSTCO is better than SAMS. I dont think so, in shopping at SAMS in Greensboro for 3 years NEVER EVER did we have a problem NOR did anyone look or even act bad toward my disabled son. THIS STORE did it in less than 30 minutes in the store. TO SINGLE OUT SOMEONE who is disabled is AGAINST THE LAW, the STORE MANAGER was there in a meeting and evidently TOO BUSY to come and see about how HIS EMPLOYEES act toward the disabled. SO SAD, the promise of HANDLING it after we leave is most likely a joke, The woman WHO made my son MOVE and no one else and was NO BLOCKING anyone should be fired for that action. The whole action by this store shows us CUSTOMERS do NOT matter to anyone at this store, MASS IN MASS OUT. IT also shows us that Special Needs folks are NO WANTED or RESPECTED by their employees. I have dealt with crap for over 38 yrs on how my son was looked at or was treated, And in ALL THOSE years COSTCO is at the TOP OF THE LIST of NO RESPECT. I encourage EVERYONE never to shop this store again and go to SAMS. You have Aisles that are MARKED, the employees there SMILE, at self check they have hand held scanners and if there is a PROBLEM they rush to your assistance, 4 people in self check, 2 with scanners and what is their job, NOT SMILING NOT ASSISTING and I guess their job title is COVID DO NOTHING EMPLOYEES, The people on the street corners begging for money and food work harder than they do and RESPECT people more.
