We stopped in here for a quick supply refresh while camping nearby. It's your typical Walmart, had most of what we needed and was pretty busy for a mid morning on a Tuesday, so it's a popular spot. I will say Walmart has been a reliable 'stop' for us during our road trips; so we appreciate that. read more

Found what I needed. Most of the shelves were empty, but at least this Walmart doesn't charge you an arm and a leg. Also, the staff is so friendly and nice. Must be a New Mexico thing! read more

I was amused at the negative reviews on the Wal-Mart in Las Vegas! Why don't you visit the Wal-Mart in Taos if you think you have it bad!!? We consider it huge step up when we are able to shop there....enormously bigger, cleaner, more options, fuller shelves, much less crowded, about half the time to check out and a huge assortment of food stuff. Taos only has a tiny amount of fresh foods. Mostly reprocessed, canned or frozen! You should be thankful for this Wal-Mart. Oh I forgot to mention the employees in Law Vegas are actually helpful and friendly....not resentful when asked for help!I Taos WM would not even get a star. read more

Very dirt, long lines, empty shelves. Is this management, not sure but very disappointing. And yes very unfriendly and grumpy employees.

Terrible service we went in and there was no workers on one side of the store and we called for them many times within a 45 minute time frame and no one came yet there was a group of workers doing nothing in the middle of the store. Not recommended read more

The place to see and be seen in Las Vegas, New Mexico that is. No trip to vist my family for the holidays is complete without at least one trip here. I still have fond memories of its early days when it was open 24hrs. Shopping at 2 am to avoid the crowds. Or picking up the essentials for 3am meal for several people after a night of boozin'. While they may not be open 24hrs any more this is still the place to be if you want to get caught up on the chisme or mitote happening around town. Who's died, who's married/divorced, who's in jail... For those of you who are fans of Subway (blehg) theh have one in the store. read more

Empty shelves, grumpy employees (believe me, I feel their pain), long lines and prices always ringing up wrong. Welcome to the mall of Las Vegas, NM. They hate coupons, the customer is always wrong, and yeah, they're lucky they're pretty much our only option in town. I hate shopping here but what choice do I have? :( read more

This place is disgusting! This is the only option in town which is why everyone and their grandmother shops here. The customers that frequent are often unkempt, rude, and flat out obnoxious. There's never a downtime and it's always busy. The parking lots are filled with road raging, illegal parking, inconsiderate drivers. The store is always dirty. Dirty people, dirty store...go figure. The fruits and vegetables are not fresh and always sad looking. They're always stocking so you're navigating workers stocking and impatient, rude customers. Good news is they always have enough of everything. So far I've had pleasant experiences with the staff considering what they put up with. Some of the staff can be moody, but with a little conversation and empathy they usually come around and sometimes if you're that customer you can make their day a little brighter. With no other options in town, this is the place to be all day, everyday (apparently). If you can avoid this place (not likely), do it. Otherwise, "Welcome to Walmart of Las Vegas!" read more

This place seems to get worse every time I have to go there, we were there on June 20 between 11 and 1 and two men actually got into a fist fight in front of children and other patrons, knocking down a shelf of supplies near the cosmetic area, and no one did anything about, no security working on Sunday. Lucky for us they were not armed and we were able to get away from the scene. This place gets more ghetto every time we go. Bad experience with employee at customer service, she had a bad attitude for no reason, I will avoid Walmart if possible, too much drama and unsafe for me and my family. No Security on Fathers Day, who is running this store, line were very long and not enough staff. No wonder the staff has a bad attitude. Oh, by the way they do deserve a bonus for working through Covid, I am sure Walmart can afford to this for the employees, it is a billion dollar corporation, what a shame. read more
