Produce section is a good size. This store has a nice floral department too. Meat is expensive, but where isn't it? They have a large selection of beer and soda. Cashier positions are always well stocked and the staff is friendly. Much prefer dealing with nice people than robots and cameras. Baggers still bag your groceries and load your cart. Overall it has a nice hometown atmosphere. I don't dread shopping there like I do Wal-Mart. Pharmacy is in store and drive through and the pharmacist is patient centric. He has taken time twice to go over prescriptions in detail and give us honest thoughts and concerns about the medicine prescribed. I feel he is very honest and driven by a desire to help his customers, not cater to big pharma. He really is a top notch pharmacist. Parking is ample and well lit. Gas rewards are meaningful and worth participating in. Tobacco products are available at customer service and at their gas island. Overall, this store gets high marks from me for three things, cleanliness, reasonable prices and friendly staff.

The coupons where so easy to use here to i clipped so many of them and got so much off of the things that I usually buy. But in order to use them you have to have a smart phone with the app on it so that way you could clip them to your account when you are at check out all you have to do is give them your phone number and then the coupon does it's magic and you pay a little less then the price charged. I love all of the workers at this store to. All of them are nice I have been going to this store for over a year now and I will have go say that this store deserves best store of the year. So, for fellow Yelper's, this is about as clear cut as yer' gonna git it. Penn's Sore is not, let me repeat "NOT" just in Kentucky, it's in BFE, KY. It is totally not worth your drive from out of town to visit, and especially not to complain about the hours they keep. Yes, this store has been in business for 176 years (true), but you will be lucky if you find the place open even if the hours do say 1-5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. When they are open, you may get lucky and find a candy bar to purchase, but there is mostly art work, Christmas ornaments, cards, etc. They hold car shows and the like, plus what I'd consider called Pickin' on the Porch, or different bands playing outside and bringing the community together. Which are advertised locally, and occasionally on their FB page. Penn's Store is most definitely a landmark, and the fine folks of Gravel Switch (all 11 of them) are flattered by it. Give the Penn's a call next time you're passing through if you're wanting to stop in. Otherwise, it's a cute little wooden shack, and there's always a cat or two or three running around, and you can see the outside of the building. If no one answers, guess what? I'll bet you can. You're a super-genius! You guessed correctly. No one is there, and they aren't open.

On Saturday…read moremorning, they posted to their Facebook inviting people to come out and visit them at the store that day. So we drove out to the store on Saturday. Their listed hours are 11AM-6PM. They are "country hours". We got to the store at 11AM. The store was not open yet. That was okay. There was a nearby geocache in their parking lot we were going to check out. Two other cars had come and gone. One of those cars was from Texas. They left disappointed. We gave up and left the store at 12 PM. While back at the hotel, I called the store 3 times. No answer. I emailed the store on Facebook. No answer. We drove four hours for this. So we decided to drive out one more time. The second time, we arrived at the store around 3:45PM. The store was still not open. Again, two more cars had come and gone. At 4PM, we had given up and went back to the hotel. I understand these hours were "country hours". But because of the Facebook post, that I have attached, I expected the store to be open at some point during the day. It took a lot to keep entertained in this small town area. This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. We spent a total of an hour and 43 minutes driving to/from a store that was never open when they advertised they would be.

Different time they have went to special effort to assist me with finding products in the store room or in the show room. Harbor Freight now sells tools that are very nice and high value tools. Their product line has much improved over the last few years compared to the disposable Chinese junk they build their company reputation on. The do still cheep disposable tools but they also offer premium tool lines that are very affordable. Harbor Freight in Campbellsville is a nice addition to our community!

We drive over 45 minutes to the Campbellsville KY location for an "in stock" item. Turns out it…read morewasn't in stock. The asst mgr gave us a rain check and 25% off if we come back in 4 days. She even told me I could call b4 I went to ensure the item arrived on their truck. Okay. So the day comes and I call. The call lasted almost 10 mins as the guy checked and verified the stock was in. I asked him did you get plenty because I can't get there until tomorrow and the man said absolutely no problem. So I drive another 45 mins and the store mgr looks comes back and asks who I talked to because they have none in stock. Now ive driven 3 HOURS and have nothing. I showed my phone to the store mgr CLEARLY showing my call checking stock and told him to sell me the floor model. NO. He offered me a 25% discount and he will call me IN TWO WEEKS to let me know IF they received the stock. I had to drive a large vehicle there each time because the item was big. So now I'm out tons of gas money and my time and I still don't have what I need. I ran to Lowe's and they had JUST sold their last one. Needed it this wknd. Thanks to the outright lies told by each manager and employee of the Harbor Freight Campbellsville KY they have completely wasted HOURS of my time and tons of my own money on gas. They have ZERO customer service. The entire company is this way. Good luck getting any reply from corporate either. Harbor Freight is a company that doesn't care about its customers at all. Sad. My husband wants to post pics of the thousands of $$$$ worth of products he's purchased there. He was buying a band saw for $600 NEXT WEEK but Harbor Freight has thrown away our business. The store mgr said our business was unimportant! So they won't get another penny from us. Pathetic. Good store but ZERO customer service and ZERO mgmt. Sad.
