Honestly, this is one of the better Walmarts in the area from what I've seen. I've only been here twice or three times at most - once last year and once a few weeks ago for sure, but I should really start coming more often. The aisles were very clean and spacious, items were organized, staff were working hard on stocking everything and pleasant. It was quieter and less crowded than most Walmarts even in the weeks leading up to Christmas. I was able to find some diabetic supplies that the Jimmy Carter Walmart was out of. Seriously, if you don't want to wait in the 30 minute lines that Norcross or Duluth locations regularly have, then consider this alternative. read more

Face masks and social distancing is a must. My husband wanted a new grill, so he said it was here at Walmart. I don't shop at Walmart, but whatever my husband want, I try and get it and Vice verse. This is a really clean and friendly Walmart. You can find many thing here. Visited store for car maintenance at 7 am, being the first vehicle for oil change was told that it would be at least 2-3 hours. Are you kidding me, that's a10-15 minute job, and there's NO one ahead of me. Are they not staffing/scheduling people, or are they putting people in positions that they are not qualified to be in? I love this Walmart but they refuse to have enough registers open and working. So that leaves them with constant lines into the aisles. You have employees, I see them walking around or standing around at customer service not doing much. Why can't you cross train and open up more than 2 registers on your 25 lanes? Additionally, half of your self checkout lanes are closed too. What's the point? Do better Walmart. This is ridiculous. read more

This is a really nice Walmart. Much nicer than most. They usually have several registers open and plenty of people helping with the self checkouts. The store itself is clean and well organized. The prices are reasonable, but I found a weighted blanket here for $14 more than other Walmarts. Maybe it was larger. I didn't look closely. There is a Burger King located just inside the grocery/pharmacy entrance. Waaaaay in the back, tucked away by customer service, just before you get to electronics, is a nice selection of Georgia collectables like postcards, magnets, and shot glasses. It's hard to find, so be on the lookout! This is the only Walmart I've seen that has a lottery station. Sundays are extremely busy here, so be prepared for crowds. read more

Last night I went grocery shopping, I Cart filled with groceries and really needed a line open with a cashier. There was one open, I was afraid to get the line because I have experienced cashier having bad attitudes and rolling their eyes, but no this cashier. Her name is MY HAU, so was so polite and told me HEY! I was waiting on you! I smile and i felt so relieved, she got an extra cart to bag up my groceries and put it in the cart! I was so shocked and the customer service because I honestly going to walmart you have chase workers to help you and the act as though they dont want to help. MY HAU was AMAZING!! I asked for her manager just to tell him how awesome she was! She was genuinely happy to help me last night! I dont live in that area, but will travel there just to see her and be serviced by her!! I have lived in Lierburn for several years. I go to this Wal-Mart twice a week and the staff are mostly friendly. Today I met a particularly bad manager. When the cashier encountered a problem and asked for help, she came with an unhappy expression, did not solve any problems for me or even left without waiting for me to finish. She is a black woman with long curly hair, her hair covering her name card, I only see her name starts with L, I'm not sure whether the name starts with Loun... or Lu..., please don't ask this manager to solve any problems. I don't understand why such a person who can't solve customer problems becomes a manager? If you don't have a smiling face, please have the ability to work as a manager. read more

Walmart may not be the best place to buy fresh produce but this walmart has an ok selection. It's definitely better than most others I've visited. It's clean and the clothes racks are surprisingly organized. The employees are always helpful. I'll gladly drive further past the walmart that's closer to me in order to get better service and choices at this one. read more

I love this Walmart , they know me and my family and treat us very kindly, I have yet to experience any of the things in the other lower rated reviews. I've been going to this Walmart now for about 3yrs and have nothing bad to say. They're great when I do pickup orders and when I come to shop physically. I sent my fiancé to the store with my card and for some reason it declined the transaction which is so weird because I was just there the night before . He used self check out so it had me wondering if they have face recognition or something because i went in and it worked fine or maybe he put the wrong pin .which I don't think he did but who knows and if that's a new security system I'm all for it too. Pricing was off by more than $10.00 so we asked her to fix it and she blamed it on the system and told us if we wanted to item we could buy it online and pickup front the store. I absolutely hate this location with a passion...everything from the employees to the customers. Huge parking lot but parking still sucks. About 99% of the customers are very rude. The employees are beyond that. There's only 2 employees here that are very pleasant and polite. Even customer service is rude af. Checkout is a pain in the ass! Countless registers with only 2 open..self checkout is as simple as simple can be. Credit, debit, cash, all forms of payments...all you have to is read the damn sign.. In comparison to the other branch I've been going to in Stone mountain, this location has a much better staff. they work well together and actually care about how the work is done. This Walmart is the worst. I wish it wasn't so freaking convenient to our house. Any time I've encountered an employee in this store, it has been a disaster. From the Oil Center to the check-out line, it seems like this Walmart only hires the rudest people with the least common sense that they can find. I make every effort to avoid any contact with an employee when I stop in. I have so many great stories, but I guess I'll start with tonight. Had some curtains to return. Was greeted at the entrance by a woman who forgot she had kids. The kids were fighting and swinging their arms around and one nearly got me. But that's normal for this Walmart. To be expected. "Remember where you are, self." Surprisingly, the wait at the customer service desk wasn't too bad. Cashier rang up my items, and as she asked if I wanted the money back on the card or in cash, she hit the button for cash. Never mind the fact that I wanted it back on the card. Whatever. Minor setback. To be expected. "Remember where you are, self." After making my almost 100% successful return, I headed to the back of the store to pick up a large bag of dog food. Grabbed it up with no incident and headed for the registers. I parked on the home and garden side, where unfortunately there are no self-checks. Got in a line where there were just two people in front of me. The first couple had a normal transaction. (Yes!!!) Next woman seemingly made it a point to go through the store and pick up only items without price tags. Cashier turned on the dreaded flashing number light and I felt color slowly drain from my face. I would have stuck around and only been sort of irked, but the damn cashier looked at me and said, "we're going to be a while. Go to a different register." UH WHAT WHAT WHAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?! Not, "you only have one thing. I'll check you out while we wait for a price on this giant ugly purple pillow." NO. Instead she demanded that I go to a different register. Disgusted by her complete lack of intelligence or courtesy, I slowly backed up like, "do what? Huh?" before rolling the buggy into a t-shirt display and getting the bleep out of that hellhole. Been coming to this walmart for years... And every time it gets worse and worse! Tried buying a keurig -- it was cheaper on walmart's website.. Well.. They refused to honor their online price. They would honor a Kroger price but not their own online price.. That makes no sense. I drive 30 min to the Walmart in Snellville because they have better customer service! This store is nasty!! This review is for the Auto Care Center, since they don't have their own page (that I can find) on Yelp. On Saturday night of last week, I discovered an air bubble on one of my tires. Not sure of how serious it was (never seen one before) I found out that they were very serious and needed to be fixed quickly. The downside to air bubbles is, you can't repair them-you have to buy a new tire. I then started to compare prices online to purchase a new tire and have it put on the car. I could not find anyone who could do it for under $100. One store (who shall remain nameless) wanted to charge $40 just to put it on! So I decided to try Walmart for the first time. Hubby went the next day to get the tire. He was told they did not have a any tires in stock that would work on my car (it's a common issue, so understandable) and to come back on Monday. He returned on Monday evening (NYE) and was in and out very quickly. The best part? The total was only $85 (tire AND labor). For tire related issues that need immediate attention, I will come back here for sure. For more serious issues I'll probably just stick to my regular mechanic. read more

I have stopped by here a few times when out thrift shopping. I have purchased food, personal items, movies, outdoor goods, and the like. I have never had any bad experiences. I had trouble finding something during one visit. Someone in the sporting goods department tried to help, but wasn't the most helpful. Prices are affordable and they have most of the stuff I want. They obviously can't replace a filter without stripping the housing and covered it up by writing oil leaks in the comments but never saying a word. Oil did not leak before the oil change. This store is possibly the worst ever when it comes to answering the phones and god forbid checking if a product is in. example (1) I called one evening @10:30pm to see if the Starburst candy 14oz bags had come in yet, because the nite before when I was in there they shelves were bare and was told to check back the next day . so, here I go, checking back as told ,after many failed attempts with the "0" button next was the music dept ,cause it is very close to the candy Isle .Finally a lady picked up and said can you please hold . I held and held then heard the ole familiar click, So I Called back , hit music # and waited again ....mind you it is @11:15pm by now.peak hours for a crowd right. Finally a man picked up and said "yea" just like that. I asked him he could please tell me if the Starburst had come in and explained to him why I was asking. And his comment to me floored me so bad that I SWORE he had to be joking, He said "i can't leave my area because after 10pm they are short staffed and he was to busy to check for me and nobody else could either and my best bet was to come in and check for myself, He was to backed up to walk down @4 aisle's to merely look on a shelf for me , Mind you it was a Tuesday night @11:30pm, after hearing him I asked him to repeat that please cause I was sure he wasn't serious, but he was, Now , at this point I had about an hour of my evening invested in a simple task of a simple call and when that went through my head and what this guy just said to me , I had to drop the phone and laugh my ass off not only at the store but at me as well just because I played right into it know full well that everytime I Call that store it always somehow ends up being a chore no matter what but for some reason I STILL DO IT thinking that it has got to get better, NOT , Guess I am just a gluten for punishment and when I do remember to vent to a Manager it is like talking to a empty chair as if they are not surprised and just walk away . I agree that the attitude stinks with their employees, especially in the salon. I waited for more 10 minutes to purchase products. While Stylist #19 just gave attitude. She saw me standing there and rolled her eyes and kept working on her customer. I thought okay...she is going to take the rollers out then come and check me out. All the while I asked 2 times could I not take this to customer service to check out I was in a hurry. No, she said you can only buy it here and then made me wait another long period. After spending 15 minutes taking rollers she begin fixing the woman's hair ??? never checking me out until she was through with that customer. It would have taken her 2 minutes to check me out and she couldn't bring herself to the counter to do it. She never spoke to me, said thank you or anything. I avoid this particular Walmart even though it is very convenient. It is generally dirty and crowded. There will be lines 5 to 6 people deep at the three registers that are open with about 15 or so closed registers. Your time is not important to that store's management. Also, I went to get a bike for my daughter and asked an associate a question. She couldn't answer since she couldn't speak English. Go to the Walmart at 29 and 317. I bought a 5 year battery that went bad in 3. They replaced it and it went bad again just as before only this time it was past the five years even though a few weeks earlier they said it was not bad but was under warranty. I ok I was a little upset so the worker took the new battery and pretended to put it in the van. I left thinking they took care of it only to get stranded. So it was out of warranty...I can except that. But the trick just to get us out of there was totally dishonest. I will drive 100 miles before I ever shop there again. read more
