I was watching Ellen on t.v. the other day, and her makeup artist looked dirrectly at me (well, not AT me, but it might as well had been), and said, "You need a simple black dress. Every woman has a simple black dress." Ellen said, "Not me," and I don't have one either. So, I was at Belk, looking for Alegria Shoes, which they carry, in the style I want, and there it was....the simple black dress. It's perfect. It's around $48, and simple. I need to be completely packed to go on the plane, to see my extra clothing space, before I buy anything. I really went to Belk for the Alegria shoes, (the peace sign shoes) and more pants, like I found at the last Belk. Considering Belk has high quality clothing, more like Dillards, but bright, and less stuck up, than I feel at Dillard's. Clothing isn't always low price, but the clearance racks seem plentiful. In this particular Belk, I found ample help, on a Saturday morning. The employees aren't pushy, but are kind and helpful. Belk also sells Estee Lauder/Lancome, etc....and handbags (I always have to look, but Coach handbags are a bit over priced. But sometimes they can be found on the clearance...) Ka Ching Ka ching ka ching. I'm going back Friday, after I pack for the plane, cause there's a couple of dozens of items that caught my eye.

It took about 10 minutes to get all of the pins off the mannequin, and it ended up being my size. She also gave me my measurements quickly and painlessly! Hui is awesome, give her a raise. Clean, very well stocked and in surprisingly good shape, we visited the restrooms first and after washing hands, did a food shop to make up a dinner in the van. A baguette, some cheese, onion, tomatoes and a pot of ready-to-heat soup. Very simple but inexpensive and easy to prepare. Paying for it at the self-checkout was easy. We parked off to the side next to a semi that also spent the night. Other than some people leaving Walmart loudly until around 10pm, it was quiet and we were undisturbed. When I get home and wash the meat off and start to prep to cook, I notice the meat start to literally fall apart. And it had a stringy glue looking substance holding it together. When I looked up this description online it said that this was called transglutaminase or TG, and it said industrial meat producers might use TG to "glue" cheap cuts of beef together to create what looks like a more expensive cut. Now I've never seen this before but Im shocked that the Walmart nearest to me has this in their store. I will be returning and buying my meat somewhere else.

They had nine pieces but the "worker" said he could not sell it because it MUST Be 2 wings, 2 thighs, 2 breasts and 2 drumsticks. He they 9 pieces didn't have 2 breasts so he would not mix even though I said just sell me 8 of whatever you have. They probably threw it out 30 minutes later. Either they need to replace employees or managers!

This is the only large pharmacy within 30 miles of my house, so I have been going here for years…read more NO MORE. The last outrage occurred this week. I have a prescription for a common diabetes medication that I get filled here regularly. I am used to this irresponsible lot forgetting to fax my doctor or losing a prescription or being out of my oh so common and regularly used medications. This time even I am shocked. My medicine bottle indicated that it needed to be filled on the 18th, so I called it in the previous week. Needless to say, it was not ready and they told me I had not called it in I assured them I did and wanted to know when it would be ready. They assured me it would be ready on the 23rd. Nope. The 24th? Nope. The 25th? Nope. They tell me everyday that it will be in that days' order and it is not. This will screw up my A1C test at the doctors' office. How I hate this pharmacy.
