On way back into Nashville and figured I'd swing by this Walmart to pick up a few things, save me a trip once back home. This location is situated just off of 24 in Manchester and has undergone an update in the past few years. They have 5 actual register lanes with the remaining being self check. They do have plenty of staff working the self check areas, but they are not doing much in effort to keep things moving. There was a ton of staff on the floor, but no one interacted at any point. Store looks decent conditionally and the sales floor appears fairly clean. The parking lot needs some attention as there is trash scattered through out and overflowing trash cans. All items I was after were in stock, however the personal items I wanted had cut packaging, clearly from when the stocker was opening the case and sliced the product packaging. Overall, this is your standard Walmart honestly. I came on a mission and accomplished it. I'm not in the area often, but when needed, wouldn't mind stopping in. read more

Walmart at Manchester visiting friends in pelham. not one but two ELDERLY customers walked into the the electronics center and all FOUR csr/ sales reps were horrible with customer service. the one lady with long brown unbrushed hair kept saying "I don't know I just work in phones" "I'm having to train" if that is who you are having train your people expect more 1 star reviews. If this was my grandparent and she spoke to them that way it would not be a review being written. That is completely uncalled for. Both "straight talk" wearing shirts and they were more worried about flirting or trash talking co workers as well as me and my friend printing off birthday photos than helping PAYING customers. read more

Pro's: 1. Open 24/7 2. Can be found in pretty rural parts of the country 3. Stocked with a general selection of good-enough products to fulfill most general purposes Con's: 1. Consistent lousy shopping experience 2. Somehow usually employing people who just don't care 3. Messy We had to shop here since the only other options were Dollar General and gas station mini marts. Thankfully we were able to find the general items we needed like water, snacks, protein drinks, ice tea, instant noodles & instant mashed potato, apple sauce, propane, canopy, tarp, paracord, and plastic bins. The cashiers we encountered were slow, unfriendly and not helpful. At least we were able to roughly find the things we needed. read more

This isn't my neighborhood Walmart, actually I don't have a neighborhood Walmart and to be honest I've never been particularly fond of this retail giant. It all started a long time ago during what I call the great expansion which spread across the country like wild fire and literally consumed nearly every mom and pop store in existence. I've come to realize that there's no beating these guys and although I'll never join them I am patience and decided long ago to let Karma deal with them - I just recently met Karma also known as Amazon so everything is better now. There's not a lot of competition in Manchester so while on vacation and in search of a house warming gift for a family so dear to my heart I had to hold my nose and walk through the doors to find a rose bush - that's when I realized every rose has its thorns... read more

Either I found the most lackluster Walmart employee ever or the store management isn't training their employees right. I was trying to get to a gallon of milk that was in the far back of the case that was out of reach. In front of an employee I got on my knees an tried to reach to get the gallon of milk. I stood up and asked the employee if she had anything to get the container of milk. She said "No" and simply stared at me. She didn't go around to the back of the case to push the milk forward or attempt to get anyone else to help. She seemed solely focused no counting inventory. read more

I'm not sure this constitutes a valid review of walmart, this location or any other, however, As I'd imagine with out looking, I won't be the first to review Wallaroo solely based on the vacantly of said walmart to the farm. Bonnaroo is a once yearly music festival in June that takes place conveniently for this walmart, right down the highway. Herds of hippies and concert going stoners line the parking lot of this walmart and pop a squat; traditionally this spot is nick named "wallaroo" and it's nothing short of incredible. Get all your last minute needs here at walmart, and camp out a while. Let the crowds pile onto the farm while you walk around the parking lot meeting new friends and hanging out. Dip onto the highway and basically cut the entire line to get into Bonnaroo. But you didn't hear that from me. Not much else to say... read more

Store lay out is horrible and aside from that i bought a dvd that i already had and they wouldnt return it cause there was a small tear in the corner of the celophane. No worse than most Walmarts, entrenched in corporate greed, but this one does seem to be stocked slight better than some. Perhaps because of its vacuity to the inter state. Don't ask anyone for help. Don't ask anyone for anything really unless you like being disappointed. They close at 11 every day now since covid and will likely never be 24/7 again. The stocking doesn't happen at night either, and though I'm glad people have jobs, those shoppers with their massive tank like carts are really annoying. A father shouldn't have to wait 10 minutes outside the FAMILY restroom with his small daughter, waiting for a single employee who just doesn't want to crap in a stall in the public bathroom. Every time I come here to pick up groceries they make me wait for at least an hour it's HORRIBLE SERVICE.

I have come to this location many times and every time I go to self check out, someone is always looking over my shoulder watching. I honestly felt profiled. Especially because they don't get close like that to other individuals. They were other people around and they didn't do that to them. But when I got in line, they immediately started staring!!!! This Walmart is huge. We used to shop here a lot when we used to stay in Manchester overnight. This was our first visit back in 3 years. The store was exactly what you would want a Walmart to be. There is not much in Manchester overall so this store seems to be busy whatever time of day you busy. Pack your patience and be prepared to park a little way away from the storefront. read more

There was a time that I would not shop at a Wal-Mart except the one in Manchester. Let's face it, there isn't much to do in Manchester, but it was a nice halfway point for me and other half to meet when we lived apart. We would go to Wal-Mart as something fun to do (hahaha). The thing I liked about shopping here had nothing to do with Wal-Mart itself but the fact that we found shopping in Wal-Mart our entertainment on a Saturday night. I've used this store a number of times to buy groceries and RV items while in the area over the past 10 years. It is a standard Walmart. There is parking for overnight RVer's. The store is set up as a standard Walmart where the clothing, appliances and everything else take up most of the store and the food section is along the right hand side. Parking around the food section gets crowded but there have always been parking spaces towards the back(ahh, front) of the parking aisles and little walk of about a 100 yards. no big deal. I've been always able to find what I've wanted in the store, both retail and food side. A big plus in my book - they accept the new chip credit cards. The staff is friendly as always. You're not going to get the best of the best here in terms of clothes, as with all Walmarts. Quick to clean the floors when patrons screw up (first hand experience). Giving it a 4 star.....it's more like a 3.5. At this time, it averages out the ratings to a 3, which is close enough. read more

It's your typical Walmart. Very busy so I was surprised when I noticed it's not as nice as the walmarts in McMinnville and Kimball. This Walmart is also located about .5 miles from a large RV park so I was completely disappointed that their RV goods section was skimpy, basic and half of the items I needed were out of stock. Drove to kimball Walmart and WOW! Huge section and selection of goods for RV'ers. Manchester Walmart, I'll give you 5 stars when you can make your store as nice as the other walmarts and stock a better and larger selection for RV goods. Your store is literally right off of I-24 with many people stopping at your store especially being so close to the RV park. read more

I haven't had a good experience with the Walmart pharmacy in Manchester Tn. In particular one pharmacist. On more than one occasion, I have had difficulty picking up prescriptions that have been called in by my doctor and the manner in which Mrs. Bowman discusses these issues are Not professional. I've had her assume the problems with my families medications are from us taking too many? This is extremely disrespectful and not appreciated as a I have been a customer for many years and I would appreciate a kind explanation instead of being assumed that I take more than expected. read more

TIME TO RESTOCK, MY GOSH IT'S CHRISTMAS! Love that this Walmart is literally right off of the freeway and not another 5 miles down the road. It is a Supercenter so you can get food and other items. We decided to go ahead and stop here before reaching a more populated area because I assumed that it would be better stocked and not picked over. I was wrong! They did not have anything on my list and my list was very simple: hair pins, computer power cord, black tights. They were sold out of everything and during this time of year, you must keep your inventory stocked because if you don't, your competitor's will. I thought that it was interesting to see the longest line at the deli department . Must be something in that chicken! This Walmart had friendly and efficient staff, now if they can only get more stuff!. read more

I hate walmart there is always so many people waiting to check out and only like 3 registers open. And the u scan is a total joke.

Unfortunately this is the only store like this in Manchester. we have the little dollar stores of course but for some reason no K-Mart or Target , so we are pretty much stuck. the store its self is not too bad, they have recently added self checkout, which is great if you have just a few items and are using a cc, checks still hve to wait for attendent to spprove. I try to avoid this store unless i am there to pick up my meds, aisles are not wide enough especially if they are restocking . never ever enough registers open. I always park at the garden center snd checkout there, even if there is a line they are still faster and nicer then the cashiers on the main floor. Manchester needs another decent store not more smoke stores hotels and banks read more

If you want the same old stuff to choose from month after month, this is your place. If you want to be ignored by the same sour faced employees, this is your place. If you want to wait, literally, hours to pick up a prescription, then this is your place. Management could not care less about your concerns about poor service, long register lines, improperly priced items or generally anything else you bring to their attention. They have successfully countered any effort to have a decent grocery stay in Manchester. I only give one star as that is the lowest rating. Should be -5. read more
