Purchased a custom calendar for Christmas, got an email saying it was done and ready for pickup so I drove almost an hour to this location. I get to the photo desk and they say that it is NOT done and the singular employee they have trained to make it is on break and will not get it done by tonight, "Come back tomorrow." What an absolute joke of a store do NOT give this place your business, it is not worth your trouble. Go somewhere else that might actually respect having stuff done when they say they do. I wish I could give it negative 5 stars! We went for our appointment for an oil change. After waiting 2 hrs the manager (Doug) asked what car was ours? After he looked he said, It's here & you've been waiting for 1/2 hour for nothing!" Obviously, we were mad and he get really hostile back saying we were texted. We weren't. He's the manager of "Walmart" and NOBODY notified us by any means and he doubled down by saying he put the keys and paperwork in the area where they put the finished jobs and let it sit there until he asked which car was ours. I go to this Walmart frequently, since I live in Marion. I tend to get groceries and clothing for my daughter here. Today, I went here for: fabric softener, water softener, allegra, and eggs. Everything was well labeled and looked of good quality and price. Store was clean also. I will definitely be returning to this Walmart. read more

This girl was absolutely insanely rude I grabbed a skateboard wanting to buy it I set it on the ground and before I could look at it she said don't ride it and I did not plan to or have any thoughts of doing that ride it I was seeing how it looked I think she's doing to much personally and there was cardboard on it so I could not have rode it even if I wanted to and then once I walked away I was across the store I look behind me and there she is peaking around a corner at me then once I stared she ran away. read more

We always order groceries to be delivered. Usually do ok. This weekend sucked however. The driver cancelled so they told me. It was set for sat. 9-10 a.m. After many calls and messages. I was told to be patient and wait. It is now Monday 11:15 a.m. no groceries and unable to get through to ANYONE ON THE PHONE. Definitely a F for this weekend. read more

Today is the day before Thanksgiving, I brought my car in on Saturday because my low tire pressure light had kicked on. Brought it here to the Auto Center to have them check out all my tires to make sure nothing was wrong and fill them up with air. They call me and tell me it's all done and everything is fine. Come back if the light kicks back on, but I'm sure it's on due to the fluctuation in temperature. Okay, great. I left and everything was fine and that following Tuesday morning my light came back on, if course as I'm going out of town. Go to Costco to get some air and it's fishy that my car needs more air in my tires, meaning it wasn't looked over. So now unfortunately for me, I am back at Walmart with a nail in my tire that should have been addressed when I was in on Saturday. I do want to thank the managers and all the staff that helped me get through what I needed. Ashley was great, Zac helped as well. Well, it is relatively clean. In general the customer service is poor. The management is not concerned about the needs of customers. We are a local nonprofit which organizes rides for those who no longer drive. We called the Walmart store in advance on Saturday to let them know our rider would have about a basket full of things, which they bought at another store, and they should be aware so they would have a place to store it. The manager on duty, Zach, told me they were too busy to deal with carts of items from another store. I contacted the Walmart on Blairs Ferry Rd NE and they were more than happy to accommodate. read more

I'm APPALLED at how this store treats its customers. I took a few of the teenagers I work with today and a secret shopper very rudely accused one of them of stealing. All of the kids with me turned out their pockets and we showed him our receipts. Not only did he get far too physically close to my client, but he also had the nerve to continue to demand to know what he stole. The item that the employee accused my client of stealing was a pack of trading cards. He had them in his pocket, not his bag, because he's a KID who was excited and wanted to open them in the car. When he was able to show the receipt the secret shopper wandered off, got a manager, who very unacceptably "apologized" to me while walking away. Not the person he accused of stealing and got into the personal space of. He got into the face of a 13 year old kid and accused him of being a thief, AFTER seeing the receipt of the purchase, and didn't have the decency to at least apologize. The secret shopper didn't apologize. He refused to admit that he had done anything wrong, and then continued to explain to the kids with me the "right" way to purchase things. I'll make sure that my campus and coworkers choose another store. read more

This afternoon I bought several items that did NOT require a plastic bag; water softener pellets, 7up, milk, etc. Upon leaving, Cliff the bearded greeter asked to see my receipt. Once he was assured everything was proper he told me to, "Have a nice day." I inquired whether he asked to see other customer's receipt. He said, "Only if there are no bagged items in the shopping cart." I don't appreciate anyone who questions my honesty or a store police that promotes such behavior. There are several Walmart Supercenters in the same approximate driving distance from my home. It will be a long time before I revisit the Marion Walmart. read more

This Walmart is always out of stock. You cannot rely upon them having what you need. Prices are incorrect. I always have to check to see if the prices are listed correctly on my receipt. The can redemption machines are frequently not working, and if they are full you can wait twenty minutes before someone comes to empty them. I recently tried to place an order to pick it up in the store. The website said it was available for free pickup but when I went to check out, it said pickup not available. This is one of the worst managed companies I have ever seen. Every time I shop here there is an issue. I never have this experience at other stores--just Walmart. read more

I would like to acknowledge an employee of the Marion Walmart, for his OUTSTANDING customer service that he has provided to me, on more than one occasion. The employee's name is David, and he works in the wireless/phone department. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and has excellent customer skills, which can be hard to find in this day and age. I had previously taken my mom in to get her a new phone, and was very impressed that day. Tonight, I went in because I had a self-created issue with my new phone, and was really happy to see that he was working! He spent time helping me, and was very courteous. As far as your every day household needs, Wal Mart fits the bill in many departments. Especially this Wal Mart. It is by far the top 2 of cleanest/non-ghetto Wal Marts that I have been in. However, anything that involves customer service, such as the paint department or the auto department...steer clear. I have never had a pleasant, efficient, not-without-a-headache-experience in these departments, and many people I have talked to share the same massive headache. A couple of short stories: Paint department mixes completely wrong color. Tries to fix by adding more color. This causes the paint can to completely overflow, paint goes all over counter and equipment. Another paint department story: Technician dude doesn't get the lid on the paint can all the way secure before shaking the paint up. Paint can opens in shaker and goes EVERYWHERE (he did get the color right that time, haha) Yes, this is funny, but at the time it was frustrating. We had an entire house to paint and move into. Auto department: went in for an oil change. Waited for an hour for my car to get in. Another 45 minutes after my car was in the shop area, they called me to say they didn't have a filter for my car. It took them 45 minutes to figure that out? Like I said, laundry detergent, batteries, etc are all fine and dandy, but I would advise against those special services departments! read more
