We are SO happy to have found this place. Fun atmosphere with unique decor that is rustic, modern, hodgepodge and vibrant all meshed together. We ate in the main dining area, they have a large bar room with tables and a stage for live music. It's A beautiful exterior with a patio for outside relaxing and dining on both sides of the building. Our waitress was amazing. She was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu items and very attentive. Made some great recommendations, too. Our food was delicious! We will definitely return on our next trip to the area!

We were greeted warmly and led to a variety of tables LOL until the hostess in training found the table that the had been told to seat us at but we got a nice tour of the restaurant on the way. We sat in the bar area and were very impressed with how clean and tidy the bar is kept. We were greeted by our server Harbor and he made a few suggestions on cocktails and when we asked about a certain beer on tap, he quickly got the answer from the bartender instead of guessing and having to come back. Husband had on-tap beer and I chose the salted watermelon mojito - which was amazing. Perfectly crafted. Harbor was attentive and answered all questions about the menu. So many things we wanted to try but ended up with the BLT and Ribeye. Steak was a little on the thin side but seasoned well and cooked medium rare flawlessly. We ended the meal with the pecan pie which honestly could have been a wee warmer but we were advised that its barely warmed so it doesn't melt the vanilla bean ice cream - in retrospect, I think I would have opted for warmer pie and ice cream on the side or something. Lukewarm pecan pie just doesn't do it for me. 3 beers, 1 cocktail, 2 entrees and dessert and bill barely came to $90! Hell of a deal for a nice restaurant. Southern Grocery is our new local favorite and we can't wait to come back!

I called about it said I could return it and I did thinking it was simple mistake on someone covering the exp date and me not removing all the stickers prior to buying. The older woman who checked me out said "well it was on the sale rack" as in I should know better? I still didn't consider having a place sell jars of food that far out of date. With that statement and the tone of her voice I felt maybe the date was covered intentionally to be deceitful? I wasn't even upset about it but felt hostility from the worker for returning it. Not sure I will be back to shop here due to this negative exchange and really disappointed in something that was an easy fix.

The prices Aldi offers ($1.99 pumpkins vs $4.89 pumpkins) blow Walmart, and everywhere else for that matter, out of the water. The produce and meat are always fresh and a staple of mine every time I shop there. The staff in Aldi are always staying busy, but they never seem rushed and always have time to help people. They are so friendly and knowledgable, I couldn't imagine a way for them to offer a better shopping experience. I am an Aldi-fanatic and am very glad they opened this new Muscle Shoals store. I will be shopping here for YEARS to come.
