I went to this Walmart for nose rings. I couldn't find where the jewelry department was because the store layout was different to what I'm used to seeing in other states. I finally found it but no associates were around when I finally found one in apparel I had to wait for her to find the fitting room associate who she already knew was in the restroom. I'm a patient person but why not take the keys when she's going to be away for a while. Why make customers wait when there's no need for it. The associate was super nice and friendly even held a short conversation with her when she came out of the restroom. I would visit this store just for her again but Walmart definitely does need to do better! read more

Im not sure why this Walmart has such bad reviews. The employees did look extremely bored at the checkouts and I felt bad for the elderly ladies saying they needed a chair. My daughter said it's against the rules. I said nope, it's ADA regulations that if someone is disabled and also elderly can have a seat or stool to sit on... thats it's illegal to deny them that. We came because my daughter needed a bra. Decent amount to choose from but diddly for strapless bras. The store and the bathrooms were nice and clean. Shelves were stocked. read more

By far the worst Walmart I've shopped in. We are in the middle of a severe pandemic and half the people don't wear masks. One shopping trip a man with no mask was coughing and hacking. Today the checkout person was rude and yelled at me. Their prices are great for groceries however I've begun to shop elsewhere just because of lack of attention to wearing masks. read more

Hands down, the worst Walmart in the eastern part of the state. If you go to literally any other county around Newport, you'll be better off. It's absolutely worth the drive to go to Morristown, or Greenville, or Sevierville. The store in Newport will leave you wishing you had went somewhere else read more

I only wish I could have given zero stars. They are so badly mismanaged. Too many people walking around doing absolutely nothing, while maybe 6 lanes open. We had long list of Christmas gifts so we were using two buggies. Both ended up with alcohol. My husband placed beer on counter and I placed wine on counter. I had my ID out to show cashier. He asked my husband for his ID which he noticed he had left at home. Cashier would not let me pay for my own dang alcohol without husband's ID. That's uncalled for. And totally ridiculous. If all cashier's can't ring up and sale alcohol weather it be age or their religion they shouldn't be allowed to be cashier. read more

I tried to get a hold of the photo center tonight and all it did was ring, ring, ring. This was between 5:00pm to around 6:00pm. Next, I called the regular Walmart phone number and asked to speak to the manager. The first time all it did was not answer. Then, the next two calls, I was told they would page one. Nothing happened. The last time I called, they finally got a woman on the line , who would NOT identify herself. I was taken aback how she didn't identify herself and didn't ask how she could help. On the other-hand, she was rude. She said the manager wouldn't be in till tomorrow. Walmart buys mostly Made in Red China. They became a huge success because they advertised everything being Made in the U.S.A initially. They have destroyed many small businesses in the process. Buy only Made in the U.S.A. and MAGA. read more

This store is located right off the interstate near the Tennessee and North Carolina border. Operationally, it is very much like every other Walmart ...maybe even a bit cleaner than most. The staff was very friendly. I am a people watcher and my 5 star rating is from that perspective. Half of the shoppers were beautiful, clean, delightful people. The other half were some species of mountain people that have yet to be classified. Not to sound insensitive, but it was a lot like walking into a circus side show. If I could I'd give the vision center 0 stars. We are staying in waynesville, 45 minutes away from this Walmart but we decided to stop here at the Vision Center on our way home from looking at houses. Big mistake!!! I figured I can just find me a pair of glasses and when they come in I'll just take the short trip back to Newport to pick them up. Well, the first visit I go to pick them out, the only lady there in the store working was NO HELP whatsoever, rude as hell and seemed as if I was making making her day much more difficult (while she just sits at her desk..doing nothing. After I had finally picked out my glasses and sunglasses she was asking me questions about what all I had wanted, glare protection ,etc ... when I asked her what the price difference was for each thing that she had mentioned she acted as if I was trying to be a cheapskate and her facial expressions made that very clear! I'm sorry but when I'm already up to $300+ for 2 pairs of glasses then I'm going to ask how much more I'm going to have to spend... with that being said, Thank you "Emily H" (as it's printed on my receipt) and thank you as well to the other associate that I had to unfortunately encounter on Aug.17th around 2:30pm.. to pick up my glasses. This is for Sevierville TN Walmart Pharmacy. The elderly, grumpy woman that waits on customers needs to go.....no personality at all!!!

Oh Please get some managers that care here, you have to be able to anticipate the lines on normal days and have the staff there. Time after time after time you have wait 40 mins to get checked out here no registers open or only half open on a weekday at 4-6 pm or like today sunday at 12-2. We live near this one but only use when we have no choice we at times will go to the one in Morristown or Sevierville to shop as the stock is better cleaner stores etc. I have been and prob will be a stockholder again during various stock cycles and a loyal Walmart sams club shopper as I see no reason to pay more for the same item at other stores, but this store is so so bad. read more

This Walmart has little regard for physically challenged people. We have been trying for 6 months to get them to take small carts into the store but they steadfastly refuse to do so. They have 100 of them outside they will not take them inside. A person must wipe snow rain and ice off. It is easier for disabled folks to use these small carts and some folks only want a small amount of merchandise. I have talked w/store manager Janet, assistant managers John, Tina and Dawn to no avail. Very poor uncaring management. read more
