After visiting Bass Pro we decided to stop by the little shopping area where Lollipop Shop is…read morelocated. Being candy fans we were excited to see what the store had to offer. As we were making our way towards the store we noticed how pretty big the store was especially for a candy shop and got even more excited. When we walked in we were pretty disappointed. We were hoping to see wall to wall candy displays where your eyes are so busy because they are trying to take everything in. Well, that's not what this store is. The candy selection was just a-ok. Nothing you can't typically find in the candy isle of your local grocery store or specialty store. What we also noticed was that the store had something called "stuff a buddy" which is similar to a Build a Bear but a little less glamorous. I guess this store is decent enough to wow your kids and keep them entertained for the time being because what kid doesn't like candy? But if you're an adult shopper looking for specialty candy then this really isn't worth your time. You might find a couple different candies that you can't find at the grocery store such as "Mary Janes" but other than that the store was less than exciting. Oh, I forgot to mention that the candy is pretty pricey. The bulk candy is $7.99 per pound and candy bars such as Charleston Chew were $1.49 each. If you're anywhere near Knoxville you should definitely check out Mast General. They have the a better candy selection and are much cheaper.

What a delightful location…read more We visit prior to lunch, and are pleased with ambience, selection, and staffing. Lots to like....

My husband and I visited this location twice while in the Pigeon Forge area: once just to check it…read moreout and the second time to purchase some saltwater taffy for my in-laws. The temperatures were in the high 90's and we were driving. We didn't want to purchase them too early and have them melt in the car during our trip back home. The store is bright, colorful and very inviting. I love the layout and how you can see into the candy kitchen and watch them making taffy onsite. On both visits, we were greeted warmly and offered assistance with anything that we had questions on. I'd seen a video online that showed them offering a moonshine-flavored taffy, but I was unable to find it once in-store. My husband called his mom and walked through every flavored offered, while compiling a bag for purchase. I explored the rest of the store. There was a huge machine full of flavored powder candy (similar to Pixie Stix) and very large tubes that you could fill to your liking. They also offered a wide range of fudge flavors and lots of nostalgic/classic candies. I was drawn to the English toffee (very thick and rich) and I knew that my husband would like the chocolate-dipped twinkies, so we got ourselves those treats as well. They were running a special where if you bought a pound of taffy, you got another pound for free, but we didn't want or need that much taffy. The purchase wasn't as expensive as I expected, because of course everything is billed by weight, and we didn't purchase a lot of candy. I'd return again just for the English toffee. It was like a Heath bar on steroids!
