Friendly staff and short lines are always nice. I don't think I have ever been in a friendlier Walmart.

The chicken is always so overdone!! The skin is hard as a rock!! Also I don't appreciate being asked to see my receipt as I'm walking out with my 87 year old mother. Walmart is NOT Costco. And why do the shelves have to be restocked at 2:00 in the afternoon two days before Thanksgiving?? Between all the restocking, the personal shoppers and customers, the aisles were packed!!! Me and some friends were looking for fishing stuff and we got kicked out for absolutely nothing.

Well, Bentonville, how about coming out to the North Platte Nebraska Walmart and doing a totally revamping of absolutely everything! I went there mid morning today, and it was an absolute nightmare. The store is trying to rearrange all of the store, and people are absolutely everywhere trying to get around. How about rearranging during the night instead of causing gridlock. This store needs to be totally cleaned and restored. The bathrooms are filthy, the shelves are filthy. Employees are zombies, management are out in the ozone. McCook, Ogallala, stores are sparkling clean, employees are incredibly pleasant and helpful. And yes, I drive to Ogallala and McCook to shop. Please don't stop and shop the North Platte Nebraska Walmart. Go 50 miles East to Lexington or 50 miles to Ogallala. read more

I used to work for Walmart in Ogallala. And I definitely know what customer service is and what it should be like. And here in North Platte it's complete garbage. I've never seen such lack of help or care from walmart employees like I do here in North Platte. I saw a elderly man ask for help finding a phone in electronics. And the man working here looked at him with a blank stare. No smile. And said. I don't know their somewhere over there. And walked away as the elderly man was in mid sentence asking if he could show him. None of the employees have ever once asked if I needed help when it was obvious I couldn't find something. I had to approach them. After they had been watching me for over 15 minuets. And even then. I got pointed in the direction. Not even taken to where the item was. So I was again. Trying to find something I didn't know the location of. The managers need to take notes from ogallala staff. The Walmart in ogallala May be half the size of North Platte Walmart. But at least their staff is friendly and helpful and they all show they care about their job. They make you feel like family. Don't go to north platte. Go to ogallala. read more

This should mean minus a star. But that isn't an option We have been to many Wal-Mart stores. This was by far the worst we have ever seen. The store was wiped. I mean empty boxes on many shelves and also in the coolers. Only one checkstand open. It was an older lady and her belt was not working. Really you have all these checkstands and she has to check on one this a broken belt with lines very long. I understand that Wal-Mart doesn't really care about customers as we witnessed today. But really we all know. Unfortunately that they make it so that is the only store in most places to shop. Please support a different store than this Wal-Mart. read more

Restrooms are in need of a really good cleaning. There are messes on the toilets & on the floor in the front area. Not very clean. Deodorant also in short supply. Staff pleasant, but scarce. read more

Came in at 10;00 AM Wednesday morning. Store was well organized and clean. We asked for help twice and each time an employee took us to the item. Very friendly at check out also. They need more checkers and the shelves were not well stocked or I would have given it 5 stars read more

This is the only Walmart for miles and miles around so it's constantly super busy. The checkout lines are always obscenely long. The associates could not be less helpful. I don't have anything good to say about this Walmart, if I could give it zero stars I would. It is unfortunate that this is the only large grocery store in town. read more

Well, I left a review about a year ago about this North Platte Wal-Mart. Went back, because of necessity, and guess what...hasn't changed one bit. Still FILTHY, smells bad, and there is no stocking of anything. Went in to purchase a small amount of frozen vegetables and absolutely no stock. So, I'm shopping at Ogallala, both Wal-Mart and Safeway and Kearney HyVee. North Platte has absolutely no shopping. What a waste. I have no idea about management at the NO Wal-Mart, I've made complaints to corporate headquarters, still the same. What my issues are is I'm a senior and I don't drive anymore and have to plan trips and make arrangements for rides. It's not the best, it's pretty irritating to live in a community that doesn't offer better grocery shopping. I cannot afford Gary's, so he's out. read more

It's always too crowded, always too hot, and they don't know how to keep the store stocked. There are tons of empty shelves and racks, and you can't rely on finding important grocery items, even simple basics like plain bagels. They also keep it too hot. You can see people fanning themselves and even the employees complain about it. It's been the same problems in this store the three years I've lived here. Some of the employees are nice, but there are serious management problems. Long lines, temp problems, and unstocked shelves are management problems. read more

Holy hell! What a complete cluster. The staff is hard to find. We could not get any help with heavy items in the lawn and garden section. Another customer had to help us pick up grass seed and fertilizer. The check out lines are bad. We waited 20 minutes since only two lines were open. The place is really dirty and smells. I worried about getting robbed or panhandled here. Don't you all have a policy about people begging for money inside the store also? Crappy experience. I'm driving to Kearney next time. read more
