Stopped at this store to get a few things...in a center isle was a pallet displaying a "Managers Special"...two dollar discount!..a household hamper of which I needed . However when I went to the cashier it scanned the regular price....told the cashier and she said it was for a small one. I explained and she agreed to discount the item. My most recent delivery included expired milk. I requested a refund. Walmart asked me to return the product in order to process the refund. I explained that I use their delivery service because my mobility is limited. If they want the product returned, they need to pick it up. They declined. I got an email from loss prevention asking that I return the item to get the refund and suggested i use "the link below" if I needed more help. There was no "link below." This morning I spoke to a real person. She said she'd check the matter. Walmart will not refund the $4 for the milk, and expects me to spend money on an Uber to return the product to the store. Though for the most part Walmart is pretty good in terms of selection, ease of ordering and price but whenever there's a delivery issue, regardless of direct from Otis Street or shipped, there is no way to remedy it. I ordered a case of 24 cans of cat food. The walmart box was on time but the cans were loose, dented and damaged and 3 cans shy of the 24. Cans salvageable but Walmart chat advised I contact manufacturer for the missing 3 cans. The manufacturer for a Walmart undercount? Not helpful, we're out 3 cans and no option because it's only 3 bucks? Probably because Walmart has it set up for exactly that. Once again I would like to give another example of the horrible service at this walmart. I went to grab a drink and there was produce (tomatoes) on the floor; I told an associate that there was produce on the floor assuming is would pick it up to throw away. But I was expecting to much, first he looks at me and says: "you pick it up" when I told him, I don't work here I was letting you know so you can discard it he just picked it up and threw it back with the rest of the produce. when I asked him why would he do that, since the floor has dirt, chemicals (rock salt) on the floor, his response was: "well everyone should wash anything before they eat it". At that point I stopped, because I could see he could care less. This is just a review of the grocery pick up service. I placed my order on the app. Chose my pick up time. About 10 minutes before my pick up time I got an email that my order was ready. I hit the check in button on the email and enabled location services. Even though I ran a few more errands on my way, as soon as I pulled into the pick up lot, within 15 SECONDS the door opened and Michelle came out. She brought the order out and loaded my car. I didn't have to step out of the car at all. Pick up took less than 5 minutes. And most of that was me chatting with Michelle about how thrilled I was with the service. The ordering has a substitutions option. I chose not to have substitutes. If they are out of Folgers Black Sulk coffee, I don't want any thing else. It's not just groceries. I was able to order makeup removal woes, shower cleaner, etc. This is so much better than having to deal with the Walmart clientele. read more

I had bad service yesterday 03/15/2024 when I picked up my curbside order at 5pm. This short fat dumb @ss Hispanic dude who had a bun tied hair thinking he is all cool was so rude to me. I got yelled at because I was in a hurry to get to work b/c he needed to scan the items. I didn't know he had to do that. He thinks he has such an important job putting groceries in my car. He didn't even speak English well! Dumb @ss w/ a low skilled job needs to be taught manner. I will never order curbside pick up from this place again. This might not be the best walmart, but compared to others around it's definitely the "better" option. It's much smaller than the one in Worcester but it's still my go to when i need to buy groceries. Things are easier to find and even though none of the employees seem to know anything about the store i still think they're friendly. The parking is huge and even when it's busy you will not fail to find a good spot. It's quite organized and very rarely you will find empty shelves or damaged products, contrary to the Worcester location. read more

If you happen to be driving down MA Route 9 some time near the Westboro/Northboro/Shrewsbury line, and hear a loud sucking noise... it's this place. Granted, it's a dump due to the ongoing construction (as so many others have noted), but it really wasn't that nice in the first place. Filthy and unfriendly, with some of the poorest customer service I've ever experienced anywhere, this one is among the lowest of the low in a chain of low-class establishments. To avoid the whole miserable in-store experience, I tried instead this week to place an order online, but Walmart (in a show of EPIC incompetence) failed to launch both times. And it's not like they had to actually package and ship anything - nooooo - the order was scheduled for "electronic fulfillment." Yes, all they had to do was send an email, and these mouth-breathers screwed it up not once, but twice. A transaction that other companies are able to execute in seconds, millions or even billions of times a day, and yet 4 days later I'm left yelping and swearing that Wally will never get another freaking dime from me, ever! The last two times i have been to this store i left a full cart because of lack of open registers. The self checkout was backed up to the grocery store part and only one regular register was open. This store is HORRIBLE!!! I just went tonight to do some late night Christmas shopping away from the crowds. The store is open until 11 p.m. which is a little weird being that it is the week before Christmas. I walked into the store with my list 40 MINUTES before it closed. I went right to the electronics department to buy a camera and a Blu Ray DVD player. The department had boxes stacked everywhere. The cash wrap was littered with debris and there wasn't a single person working in the department. After looking around for 5 minutes, I picked out the camera I wanted to buy. Nobody was in the department. I asked someone in an adjoining department if they could get someone to the camera section. I watched as this person picked up a phone and paged someone to cameras. 10 minutes went by. I then walked to the customer service desk and asked them to call someone to cameras. I went back and waited another 5 minutes. By this time another couple came to look at cameras. Finally, 5 minutes before closing (after 20 minutes of waiting and 2 requests for help) a 'CSM' came to the department. He walked right over to the other couple even though I was the one who initiated the 2 requests for help and said 'We have your Wii' and then answered 2 questions about cameras. 'Let's go get the Wii' he said to them and started to walk away. I told him I had been waiting for 20 minutes and wanted to buy a camera. 'Can't.' he said 'I leave in 2 minutes.' and turned his back on me and walked away. As he was walking away I said again, 'Sir. I have been waiting for 20 minutes and asked twice for help' He just kept walking with his back turned. I have never been told at a store that I CANT buy an item. I understand the store was closing in 5 minutes, but I had been waiting for 20 MINUTES for someone to help me in one spot. For this reason I will never shop at this store again. I will never shop at a Walmart again. Target and BJs are right across the street. The Target is so much nicer. This WALMART has NO CONSIDERATION for customers. This is apparent the minute you walk in. There are palates and boxes stacked everywhere in the isles. People with palet jacks cut in front of customers and the store is in utter dissaray. The employees either do not speak good English or are young kids swearing in the isles. I heard a couple of them talking and heard the F Word three times clearly in the 20 minutes I was waiting for the CSM who wouldn't help me. There were plenty of customers around and these people were cursing like sailors while they were unloading merchandise. All you have to do is walk into this store and you will see what I mean. Its a pigstye! There are boxes everywhere. The employees don't care ... while I was waiting a customer asked someone who was sitting in the isle 'Do you guys have the new Harry Potter?' and the employee said 'I have no idea. This isn't my department.' I used to work at Walmart when I was in high school and back then they used to tell us to walk customers to the product or someone who could help them if we didn't know the answer to something. I called the Walmart store experience customer service number to report this person who treated me so rudely and left me waiting for almost a half hour only to ignore me but the number is only manned until 9 p.m. The Walmart.com customer service email said that it has too many requests and that if you need assistance you should call the complaint number. If the company cares, the person who caused this was called a CSM and was an African American with a shaved/bald head, around 6 feet tall. With bad teeth. The pick up process was f@cking ridiculous I sat in my car at pick up I tried to call the number 10 to 15 times no answer voice mailbox full. After 20 minutes I walked in and used the pick up screen waited 10 minutes an employee walked by and said pick up is only in cars now I said I was already over there for 20 minutes not one employee was there. This Walmart is like an episode of punk'd or that other show on MTV where they timed you to see how long you'd last before you lost your temper (for the record, about 9 minutes). Every single time I have come here I have kicked myself for doing so. Every. Single. Time. The signing is HORRIBLE - where is Massachusetts Weights & Measures?! I have walked in (and back out of) the eye center about 10 times with no one even saying hello to me, let alone offering to help. But far and beyond the worst experience is the checkout. Grumpy, inexperienced, incompetent employees who won't adjust the price to match their incorrect signing, who do a LOT of shrugging and not a lot of anything else, and lines lines lines. The whole store probably has 30 employees and half are door greeters. Case in point - I came here at 7:30pm on a Friday night (not the busiest time in the world; I would know, I work retail), and picked up a few things -- had no idea what I was buying since the signs were all about 10 inches to the right or the left of the product I wanted -- got to check out and there were maybe 40 people in line. No, that's not an exaggeration. There was ONE checkout lane open and it was "express lane" and stacked 6 people deep. The self-checkout lanes were open and all a few people deep. There was one girl who's register light was off and she was shooing people away because she wanted to leave. We get in line behind a self-checkout line, and then that same shoo-er girl says "oh, well, I guess I'll stay open" and starts taking OTHER customers, enraging a woman in front of us who had previously been shooed. We move over, she checks us out -- standard, barely communicating -- and only speaks to tell me she can't take the safety anti-theft plastic box off my razor cartridges, and that I have to go to the self-checkout help kiosk. I heard over to the kiosk, but no one's home. She's helping some poor soul at self checkout who's been had by the machine telling her to put her item in the bag when it's already there (love that...). She sees me, and walks over to help another customer in distress. Okay... finally (literally at least five full minutes) she waddles over, looks at me, walks AROUND ME and takes post at her station while complaining "I can't do this anymore". Not sure if this woman is in some kind of coma, I say "excuse me??" and she shuts me up with "HOLD ON A SECOND". Yikes, do I have to pay extra for the abuse? She finally assists, taking her sweet time to help me with the anti-theft box, and then LITERALLY says "okay, go." GLADLY! I will pay the extra money, I will drive the extra 100 feet, I will go without razor cartridges for up to two weeks (I can't go any longer than that, its just barbaric) just to stay out of this HELLHOLE. I advise you all to do the same. If you are fully committed to going to Walmart, make the drive to the newly renovated Supercenter in Marlborough (right on the Hudson line). read more

The other Walmarts in the area seem to have more variety and stock for things like clothing or tools without the crowds. This store is kept clean. If there was a Noble prize for grumpiness and poor customer service this place would break records winning it year after year. Most already pointed out that this place is a dump because of the construction and store arrangement, but they seem to be reaching new lows in customer service and professionalism. I picked up some merchandise and went to the counter in the sporting section, the clerk there was idling... when I asked how much the merchandise cost, her response was "Well, there are price scanners everywhere.... all over the store... look there is one right there (pointing to a neighboring aisle)". That's great Einstein, but I was looking for some service, especially since I wanted to buy the item, it did not make sense for me to walk over to the next aisle, check the price and come back to checkout. So I go to the main check out counter, buy the stuff and then complain to customer service. They did not seem like they cared much either. The only consolation would be there was a Walmart rep from corporate who called because I provided feedback on their website. I have decided it is better to pay a bit more for better customer service and shop elsewhere. I returned my purchase without using it later in the day. read more

About every 18 months I find myself having to go to this particular Wal-Mart and every time it is a bad experience. I don't have a problem with all Wal-Marts just this one. The customer service is gruff. Once I waited 30 minutes waiting to pickup an order I placed online. Another time I returned an item without the receipt. It rang up $5 less than I paid. I asked if I could get a price correction when I find the receipt and he said "too late I already returned it." It takes me forever to find what I want and I leave feeling like I wasted a bunch of time. Next time I'm going to go to another Wal-Mart, even if it is further from my home. read more

Sadly, there's this preconceived notion or stereotype that Walmarts are trashy, this Walmart is part of the reason for those stereotypes. Not only do they not enforce wearing masks or capacity limits (the law), the most ironic almost comical part is hearing the announcements on their intercom boasting "to ensure your health and safety and ours, all guests and staff and required to wear masks when inside our store per CDC guidelines", yet half of the staff are either wearing their masks on their necks or just aren't wearing them altogether. As soon as I walked in tonight I saw two coworkers sitting on the electric scooters at the entrance, approximately five inches apart, with their masks down. Then as I'm walking down the main aisle, there is a father who literally has one of the straps of his mask broken, yet he has the other side on so the mask is just dangling off of his one ear floating in space... to top it off, as I take a right and walk down the adjacent aisle where the electronics are located, there is an employee, a white blonde lady named "Pam" folding toddler clothes, with her mask off, crouched over trying to hide herself, consequently breathing all over clothes that are going to be bought for toddlers to wear. To "Pam" and all the other staff at this Walmart who selfishly think they are exempt from following the law set in place to help mitigate this virus: you are deplorable and an absolute joke. If you can't stand to wear a mask while you stand still folding clothes when I wear one for 10 hours per day and friends for 18 hours per day without even thinking about it (mind you I have asthma and could use that as an excuse), stay the hell home. Don't get paid. Don't risk people's health because of your own stupidity. To management: you're clearly an absolute joke if you acquiesce with this, and knowing this goes on and doing nothing about you makes you complicit in this. I don't know where to begin. Shall I start with the lack of fruit and vegetables available, the fruit flies all over what was there, the higher-than-expected prices compared to stores around (even Wegmans), the less than helpful cashier, or the man at the deli who didn't know what he was selling? I am sorely disappointed in this Walmart. I won't be returning anytime soon. Here are a few things: 1) I went on a Saturday morning, about mid-morning. Most of the fruits and veggies that I purchase for my family were not there. The bin was empty. No one around to ask for help. I was not looking for anything exotic - cucumbers, granny smith apples, etc. The produce that was there was covered in fruit-flies. YUCK. 2) This isn't HUGE, but, there wasn't a large selection of ground beef - only two different varieties. (80/20 and 93/7). When I made my selection, it was covered in blood on the bottom. I know this happens, but a sticky mess and there were no paper towels to be found, no wipes, no nothing. Again, no one around to ask for help. 3) At the deli, I asked for 97% fat free turkey. Nope, not there. I didn't think this was an unusual request as you can purchase it at Stop and Shop and Wegmans. 4) The prices of the most basic items are more expensive at Walmart than Stop and Shop, Target or Wegmans. I know because I went to all four places. My family is now a single income family, and I am trying to find the best prices. I thought that would be Walmart. Butter, milk, eggs, meat - all cheaper else where. 5) At the check-out - I had double bagged the produce I did intend to purchase. The check-out lady removed the outer bag to weigh it. Perhaps she was trying to save me money by not weighing the other nag, but she didn't put it back in the second bag. I chose to double bag it, and wanted it left that way. Then, I asked to split my payment between two cards. Again, I didn't think this was a crazy request - I have done it that way many times at many places. She understood what I was asking, and I swiped my first card. Before I sign she says "oh, it's all on one card." So I again ask for it to be on two cards. She nodded, but told me it would only be on one card. At this point I was so frustrated I just took my receipt and left. Never going back again. read more

This Walmart is located on the corner of Rt 9 (west bound side) and Otis Street This Walmart gets 5 stars on their customer service because I never hesitate to ask for a manager when I can't find something and one is always quick to respond and very helpful AND, for a big guy, this Walmart (and probably others) does have some cool things like ... They have a fabulous selection of oils for your car. Engine oils ... old and new engines alike will feel well lubed after a bath in the luxury of an oil change... AND WALMART TAKES YOUR USED MOTOR OIL... Just go to the customer service desk, sign something about returning the oil, and they take it back smoothly ... AwEsOmE! I like the food aisles addition, which has probably been here for a while but I just noticed that some of the items are priced regular at below the sale price of some supermarkets. Like the grated mozzarela ... Neat ... Their lawn and garden section is WELL TRAVELED which is a hit to local mom-and-pop supply stores so I usually go to Mom-and-pop Agway for these needs. Keeps your taxes down if you frequent your town's local mom-and-pops so you don't have to bare the burden of higher taxes if they go out of business. When Walmart does well the stock price goes up, when mom-and-pops do well your taxes, well they just won't go up as much. They'd actually go down if we had better representation but that's a rant for another day ... This store is where I buy my Purell. For those who don't know, Purell was the big first in the line of hand sanitizers that were not "antibacterial" but kill 99.9 % of germs because of the alcohol content. If you know someone recently diagnosed with Lukemia - buy them 5 bottles of this stuff, they are going to need it to keep as well as they can. Also if their doc gives the OK, buy them the RW Knudsen Just Cranberry ... I can't explain why, its like a miracle juice ... but Walmart doesn't sell it :-( There's a subway in-store, with the current promo of the $5 footlong deal. They are very attentive at this subway to keeping the tops down on the food to keep it fresh. Poland springs 24 packs are just 3.88 or 3.50 when on special. The supply is usually down to one or two because of the price. In summary ... - management team, here in particular, is awesome - they have a big enough selection to find most of what you may need - you do save money here, which will help you live better, or at least help you pay for your gas and oil bills ... - stores are managing inventory well to keep profits up - their stock announced great earnings - their PR / Marketing teams do a great job of pricing items to attract - they have a good jingle "Save Money, Live Better ... Walmart" - to make money off Walmart instead of just spending it here, their stock may be worth looking into if you analyze the earnings and performance and reporting data to determine if investing here is right for you. Most investors appear to be long on Walmart. - Warren Buffett likes the stock and has a decent size position in the company. full disclosure ... I do not own stock in Walmart. I'm not paranoid about COVID-19 and haven't been since all the hype began last year; I have no fear of picking up enough to get sick in a place with wide aisles and high ceilings. But I do like to grab a little hand sanitizer on the way in and here's where Wall Mart has typically fallen short. The Northborough store does have full dispensers, but they are full of some substance that looks and feels like cheap laundry detergent. Not only does it make your hands feel soapy, but the stench stays on them for the rest of the day. Wherever they are getting this stuff, they should stop and go back to filling the dispensers with something that kills all the germs and doesn't smell like a bordello. read more

One time, me and my mom went to the store to pick up some things. My mom had printed some coupons off of the internet beforehand so that we could use them in the store. At the checkout, the guy tried to scan the coupons and he was like "these aren't scanning". My mom said "Oh really...they worked last week" in a calm and respectful tone. The guy replied with "Don't tell me that these worked last week. I'm speaking from my personal experience at the store and these don't work". My mom then proceeded to remove the items from the cart that we didn't want (because the coupons for them didn't work) and I could just see the annoyance in he cashier's eyes. We paid for the stuff and we left kind of annoyed. The stuff isn't really that great either, but at least they try to organize it. I would recommend going to the target across the street. Very poorly run Wal-Mart. Store is disorganized and products are misplaced and spread out. What store has two different sections for bathroom supplies on totally opposite sides of the building? I never can understand why they make 35 check out lanes and only open 2 of them. I had 21 items once in the 20 items or less line and got a lecture from the cashier.
