Come on fellow humans (and extra terrestrials if you are my followers): it is Walmart !!!!! Come expecting a police car and a short American drama, and if it does not happen, you are a winner. Give them the five stars.... Walmart stocks are five stars! First Positive thing about this place: I didn't see any police car outside. Stillwater is classy nice area. The parking was clean. Customers were of all ethnicities and ages. Second thing was that the shelves were spaced enough and the floor was shiny everywhere I went. The roof was kind a low compared to the one in Hastings. Third, I used the self check out and I was surprised to see people with 20 and 30 items wow. Still I didn't have to wait much maybe one minute and it was my turn. I was recently at the Oak Park Heights Walmart and was so impressed that I am taking the time to write about it! I drove past two other Walmarts to go to this one for a specific product that they had in stock according to the website. When I got there, it was not on the shelf. I really needed this item for a friend who was going through a difficult time. One of the guys working in candy checked his phone and saw that it was in the store somewhere but not on the shelves yet. He checked the boxes that came in that day, but nothing. He checked with others around him and then went to a team lead - still no product. When I was by the team lead, two managers looked into it as well. After some searching they found the product in the back room somewhere! This crew went above and beyond for me and I was a bit emotional as I finished my shopping. I also noticed someone always asked if I need help in the other department areas as I continued my shopping. Everyone was so nice, the store was neat and clean, and I now make this my regular shopping stop! Great job Oak Park Heights Walmart - you are doing an awesome job! Nate in self checkout along with his backup crew are very discriminatory due to if you check out with more than 15 items then they assume you're stealing and shuts down your scanner even when they are watching you like a hawk watching their prey. This store discriminate against anyone especially of color buying more than 15 items. So please AVOID this store and more customers should called them out for old produce and fruits on their stands. I spent $100 on groceries. I received an email that they had been delivered. Maybe, but not to me. I spent literally 1 2/3 hours trying to get a person to cancel it. When I finally got to the manager Crystal, she said she'd give me the number of their Customer Care Center. I asked her to make the call (I had spent enough time on this and I explained that I thought it was their responsibility). She said she would, and to her credit, did. Called at 8:30 AM and call desk answered, I asked to talk to auto, she transferred me. Auto picked up and hung up. Called at 8:34 AM and no answer; line went dead after it rang for 1 min. Called at 8:35 AM and call desk answered, I said I got transferred and they hung up. She transferred me again. Auto picked up and hung up. Called at 8:39 AM No one answered but my call kept ringing and then would stop (like being transferred) and then start ringing again. In the end the line went dead. Now every time I call, no one picks up and the line eventually goes dead. 4 additional calls. I feel like calling all day until I can actually talk to someone. On 8/4/23, I witnessed an encounter between a very elderly man (80+) and a customer service employee (Arthur). There wasn't anyone at the customer service station so the elderly customer knocked on the door in the back. Arther came out and scolded the man for his attitude and refused to do his return. I intervened and told Arthur that was bad customer service, to which he responded he had the right to refuse service to rude customers - and this is store policy. I eventually convinced Arthur to do the return so we could all be on our way. He stared at me like he wanted to punch me in the face, but eventually complied. If refusing service is indeed a policy of Walmart, that is terrible policy. This is why I will pay a few cents to shop at a cleaner and friendly Target. read more

Every time I go to this store I swear to myself I'm not going there again. I have really come to HATE Walmart and I used to be a big supporter. This store sucks. Parking is horrid! They have a person that thinks they are checking my receipt upon leaving and that is not going to happen. I refuse-if they don't like it call the freaking cops. I don't have time for that shit. The whole trip to Walmart was absolutely fine until checking out. Not only were none of the checkout lanes available (No workers were providing service) The self checkout lanes were also being bombarded with this incredibly rude teenager. While checking out, the self checkout had a malfunction and wasn't scanning our items. We sat there for a while trying .to figure it out before we were yelled at by this angsty teen. He accused us of trying to steal the items we were clearly struggling to scan and proceeded to scoff and grab our stuff out of our hands. He tapped a few buttons on the screen acknowledging that it hadn't been working and rolled his eyes after fixing it and walking away. Incredibly dissapointed with how we were treated today. Why oh why is every Walmart the same crappy place to shop?! This store at least is relatively clean, floors looked good, bathroom was clean and not smelly. Shelving was stocked for the items I needed, but some items were hard to find or they did not have them. Finding a person to ask IF or Were an item was is impossible. I swear they see people and swarm to the backroom to hide! The biggest issue is the checkouts. You have 25 plus lanes and only 4 open! On a Saturday afternoon!!! I feel like a total douche for posting this but we went here the other night, just because, and since it's a Super Wal-Mart, checked out the foodstuffs. While walking down the ice cream and frozen novelty aisle, we noticed that all the display lights in the frozen food displays are on a motion sensor. That's right, I said ::motion sensor:: I couldn't NOT share! It was wonderful and amazing and yes, I am very easily amused, especially by pointless technology. So hypothetically, let's say it's 8:30 p.m. on a Tuesday night and there are approximately 17 human souls wandering aimlessly through Wal-Mart (a scary thought, but let's save that discussion for another day), and none of them are anywhere near the frozen food section except for you and the love of your life. So you peek down the aisle and think, "wow, it's dark down there, I wonder why?" And then you take a turn and walk down the aisle and a flood of lights immediately switches on and Kazaam! Then there was light. For that alone they earn an extra star. Please also be advised that there's a nail salon in here. Lord help me if I ever get my toes did in a fricking Wal-Mart. read more

I have just had the worst experience in their auto department in my life; and I'm 65 years old. I had a 9:00 am appointment for tires, no one in front of me and told it would be ready in 30-45 minutes. They didn't even start it until 9:40! Then when I asked, they lied to me about an "emergency" although the desk clerk and manager gave two different stories. At 10:15 when I complained, the department manager offered the solution of taking off the new tires and returning the old...no apology. This Walmart is one of the worst. I dread going to this one. I only go if I absolutely have to. They have at least 20 check outs but will have 1 or 2 lanes open the rest of the shoppers resort to the self check outs. Yesterday was ridiculous, two checkout lanes open, lines were to the clothing department and the self checkouts were just as long with two self checkout registers down. Then on the way out they have an employee check receipts but pick and choose who they will stop. That is ridiculous. Either check everyone or none at all. I ordered grocery pick-up tonight and nearly 2/3 of my original order was missing, which I did not realize until I got home. My husband was waiting at 7:40 for someone to help him with picking up the order for almost 45 minutes but it appears that nobody bothered to be there. I went inside to ask for help, but was very rudely told that "they were working on it" - I'm not sure who "they" are or what part of "it" they were working on, but it certainly wasn't my order! I had a bad experience with Cub/Insta-Cart so thought I'd try Walmart, but I guess this experience was just as bad. I'm not one to complain about poor customer service, but this time there wasn't even any customer service to begin with. I do not care for Walmart in general because of their practices I have heard about over the years. I do shop there for groceries. Because of work hours, I am there after midnight. The isles have pallets of product needing to be shelved on both sides of the isle. This makes it difficult to get a cart through. On more than one occasion they have been out of a bread product I wanted. They do not carry a produce product that is very common in asian style recipes. Other produce is packaged in a much larger package then I need, while most other grocers that carry it will let you buy how much you want. IE: 2-3 instead of a pack of 12 or so. I use the self checkout almost exclusively, but after a certain hour, you have to use a card. No cash. You can use cash by checking out with the self-checkout monitor clerk, but this can be a nuisance if there are others waiting to checkout with a human to at the self-checkout area. I could go on about why I dislike Walmart so much, but will it make a difference? Will the bean counters care enough to determine if changes are needed? Not in a million years. Maybe it is time for me to check out Amazon groceries. I have shopped at most other grocers in the area, maybe a Seattle grocer can get it right. I doubt it though. I needed tire for my Subaru. I have probably 7 places within a stones throw that specialize in tires. I am currently on a bit of a budget and teh tire shop at Walmart fit the bill perfectly. I saved as much as $250 getting the tires there. The staff was helpful, but maybe not as knowledgable as the folks at the specialty tire stores. read more

The store is clean and well stocked. One issue is the section of women's clearence and juniors. The racks are jam packed in there. Also it gets pretty disorganized. I don't fault them for that though because that is just the nature of retail. As far as wal-marts go this one is pretty nice. Oh and to the reviewer who gave the place 2 stars. Those motion sensing lights aren't "pointless technology". They are in place to conserve energy. And what is wrong with someone getting their "toes did" at the nail salon there? read more

Tire and Lube Express is the SLOWEST service I've ever seen. They do very little in the first place, how can it take that long? They don't want my business and are rude. Although they are cheaper than most places I am willing to pay more somewhere else especially to someone that wants and appreciates my business. How can they have the word express in their title? The tire Center. Girl who answers the phone at the tire center is absolutely rude. Needs customer service lessons asap. She yelled into the phone "oh for Gods sake" twice because I asked a question. She seemed new and it took her forever to look things up so I wanted to make sure I was given correct information. Apparently this was too much for her patience. This Walmart does not get very much business. They have a lot of employees that just stand around looking bored. They do keep the aisle clean however, when you go to check out, no matter how many people are at the checkout there is usually only ONE checkout lane open! The Oak Park Heights Walmart is so horrible!!!! I went to this Walmart the other week and I used the self-serve check out. The self-serve check out declined my visa card twice (I have GOOD money in this card). The employee manning the self-serve check out came over and assisted me in voiding one of the two transaction attempts. But the self-serve machine continued to decline my Visa so I used my Master Card (that I rarely ever use). The self-serve machine accepted the Master Card. I then went home to check on my visa bank account because I thought it was VERY strange that Walmart would not take my primary check card. On my bank statement I showed that Walmart had taken my money out (over $60.00!!!!). So I was double charged (on my visa and on my master card). I printed off my bank statement and drove back to Walmart to show the customer service staff who did nothing but told me to come back after three business days. So I called my bank and they told me to give Walmart three business days to put the money back in my account. I then went back to Walmart AGAIN after three business days and talked with the assistant manager who told me she would talk with their accountant the next morning and give me a call. They never called me back. I had to call them. I was then told that they would call me back after talking with the accountant. I received a voice mail from the assistant manager telling me it's my banks fault and I need to talk with my bank. My bank is a credit union and they are very fast about everything. My bank then told me that it was Walmart's fault and that the Bank already gave Walmart my $64.69. So my bank could not put the money back in my account (Walmart would need to do so). I then drove the next day (A THRID TIME) to Walmart with my bank statement, my master card statement and my receipt to talk with the customer service people again! They AGAIN GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!! The Walmart service desk staff told me that their resolution staff member went home at like 2:00 PM. Why they don't have more staff with the ability to help is beyond me! The service desk staff took my name and number down again to talk with their dumb accountant. They told me that they have no idea what their main office may give me a gift card. I don't want a *^&%@$ gift card!!!!!! I never want to shop at Walmart again! It's NOT THEIR PLACE TO TELL ME HOW TO SPEND THE MONEY THAT THEY OWE ME!!!!!!!!!!!! I called the Main office of Walmart and they sent me around an automated system and then hung up on me twice. And then I could not get a hold of any one because it was then after 4:00 PM. Why don't they have anyone to help after 4:00 PM? WALMART is SO AWEFUL AND NOT AT ALL GOOD TO THEIR CUSTOMERS! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! I had to then call my master card company and they are conducting a dispute for the money stolen by Walmart! It could take up to 60 or 90 days to resolve this mess! WALMART AUTOMOTIVE in Oak Park Heights, MN. OK, used to go here a lot for oil changes, tire repair, battery stuff. What happened? Staff of 6 is down to 2. Manager is a total jerk. Three times now within 3 months I have watched this manager help the men that have walked in, but he tell me and the other women he can't help us. "We are too busy." Otherwise he tells you it will be 3 hours before he can get to you. They used to get me right in and took care of my car within an hour. Now, as of July 2014, horrible sexist service, rude to customers, no help in the garage. Worthless. Do you want good, quick service? Go to Tires Plus down the street. As for the girl who left the last post and rated an entire store 2 stars based on what the their refrigerator lights do is kind of snobby as this Walmart is one of the best.For one its supercenter so that already gives it a star and its a 24 hour store. The snobby yelper can have her Woodbury Walmart Supercenter as I live a littLe bit closer to that one but still prefer the Stillwater (Oak Park Hts) store cause Woodbury doesnt have some of the foods I like that are at stillwater ones such as the snackbites appetizzers or the egg rolls that are sold by deli. This Walmart has all of the foods and other things in life I like at the best price possible and its everyday prices most of the time beat Cub or Rainbow Foods prices even when they are having specific things on sale in their weekly ad. Also it has a liqour store onsite that is cheap so if I want a few cocktails after a long day I dont nd to make an extra trip to some other random strip mall that has a liquor store. Woodbury Walmart doesnt have this even after converting to a supercenter and it still closes at 11pm which for someone who works a 2nd shift job and find out I need some life neccessities after work this Walmart is closed. Sorry Woodbury Walmart your gonna need to tweak few fine points before you get 5 stars from me like Oak Park Heights Walmart.
