It's been a while since I've been to this location, but I have to say that I was clearly impressed by how clean the store was, the variety of selection, great prices, and helpful people Since the demise of Bed Bath & Beyond, there's very few stores that carry a wide variety of small appliances where you can look, touch, feel, etc., versus buying from online distribution. Walmart supercenter has clearly filled this gap. I was really amazed at the wide selection of kitchen appliances, gadgets, and just fun stuff that they have to offer. I stopped in midweek during half hours so it was relatively quiet and parking was easy. They do have a dedicated parking lot, but I have been here when it can be crowded and it becomes a little interesting to find a spot close to the door. I strongly recommend checking out this store if you're in need of kitchen appliances so that you can see what you're getting! Customer services folks were very nice and clearly supported any returns without an issue. read more

I've been to this Walmart several times, although it is exactly the same as every other Walmart (same items, etc.), the location does make it the most sketchy one in town I have been to. Things are a little dirtier, and messier, although there is probably the same number of staff on site. This is a highly traffic to Walmart, which does not help the appearance of the store. I don't mind coming here, but it is not a location. I would take my time shopping at. Overall, I came in this time and was able to find a cake I needed for a party as well as other accessories on my list! read more

Never went to this Walmart in person. I usually go to the Walmart by K plaza. I tried calling that Walmart though but they don't answer calls there. So I called this Walmart. This 50 year old lady answered and I said hello very nicely. She hung up on me, so I called back. And guess what, it was the same lady who answered the first time. And I said hello again, and once again, she hung up on me. So then I called one more time, the same woman again. I said hello one more time. She hung up but this time made a groan noise, like she was mad that I kept calling after she hung up because I had a legit question. So I called a fourth time, but this time, I called a different department. And finally, a different person answered, she was very nice and answered my question I had. So I hope that 50 year old lady got fired so suspended and that 20 year old girl gets promoted. But because of that 50 year old lady I'm never coming to this Walmart ever. read more

I feel like all Walmarts are terrible, but this one is exceptionally bad. I ordered a cake here to celebrate my nursing program and not only did the cake not look as expected (according to their book) but it was WARM when I picked it up so right when I got to the car half the icing fell off. Like how hard is it to keep it in the fridge until the customer picks it up? I'm glad it was only $22. Very disappointed in Walmart today. The one I went to was 72nd and Pine. I was looking for a prepaid phone. It was about 10:30 am the first time I headed back to electronics. I was told the phone people came in at 11. I had other things to do, so it was around 1:00 when I came back. The electronics area was staffed by four people but only one of them did phones. She was helping someone but I assumed I was next because I was next in line. Wrong! The phone girl saw 3 people approaching and took off with them instead of helping next- in-line me. I ended up waiting for help for 50 minutes only to be told that the least expensive phone plus minutes would cost about $100. No thanks. I later found out the dollar store had reasonable phones so that is where I will go. read more

So they don't take cash in self scan which is empty and I'm 6 deep in line to check out on aisle 10 with it and aisle 4 being the only aisles open to check out with a cashier, and the lights been blinking for 6 minutes over there. Large Walmart with a good selection of merchandise. The store looked very clean. Other than this, the remainder of our experience was not positive. My father relies on the electric scooters at stores to shop, due to health issues. He is accustomed to having an available scooter, and estimates that most stores he visits have at least 4 scooters. When we acquired about the availability of a scooter at this store, we were told that they only have ONE scooter and it was already in use. My dad did manage to get along without the scooter, but by the time we reached the checkout stand, we were very surprised that there was only ONE self check out lane open and three checker lanes. We almost left without buying anything , because my dad was really tired by that point, but we managed to get through one of the three checker lines. For this large Super Center, the wait to pay was ridiculous. Perhaps they were just short staffed today, but I estimated that 75% of the check out stands weren't being used. read more

I generally avoid Walmart whenever I can because I genuinely don't support the things they do as a corporation/company, but this review has to be written. This is probably the worst Walmart I have ever been to, and possibly one of the worst in the entire country. It is dirty, dingy, and the employees are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. The parking lot is the worst-designed parking lot in human history. If you can avoid coming here, you should. I would definitely suggest going anywhere else (the Target on 72nd and Dodge is a good alternative). read more

If you have been following me, you know all my 3 star or below are after I have tried to resolve the problems/concerns with the manager. Well here it is. first, Shocked it actually has higher than a one star, the lowest possible on yelp. Yelp should actually revamp and make the lowest be zero or half a star, b/c this place on top of other places deserve it. Actually I'll give it the one star for actually shocking me part II by making the mask mandatory here even though the state of Nebraska and douglas cty have not during COVID19 times. However they really need to be lenient on the return policy for COVID and that's why they went way downhill for me. I bought 3 pairs of shoes online b/c was reeled in by online marketing that these shoes might actually work out. I should have known as I have not purchased shoes from walmart forever, maybe ever. So they marketed one as toddler shoes, when in fact they were adults. Then other two were not as pictured and fit even worse. So I go in to get a refund, the guy says when COVID is over you can bring these back in for a full refund "NO TIME LIMIT AT ALL," b/c I did question this statement with " you know this could go on for a year or longer right? when should I check back." He didn't say call back in a week or a month, nothing, so some time passes, nothing is getting better, so i return and i get a small amt back only! Are you kidding me? I have a love-hate relationship with Walmart. I hate going there but they really usually do have the lowest prices on health & beauty supplies, paper products, etc. especially for their own Equate brand products (at least compared to some grocery stores). The lines can be horribly slow moving so it's best to go on a weekday morning. I like to pop in there every couple of months when I have a day off to stock up on regular everyday supplies. I won't even attempt weekends. Because it's so large, they do have a huge selection. One of the few places I know that carries Neutrogena brand make up. Their clothes are cheap (as in cheaply made) but can you say sweatpants?! read more

It really takes a lot of "yuck" for me to give a single star on a review, because most places have enough redeeming qualities, if you look for them, to earn two stars. WALMART, IN GENERAL....is a place that I have purchesd things on a very regular basis, for the same reason everyone else does: In most cases, you won't find better prices or selections anywhere. They also have created jobs that employ many thousands of people across the country, there is consistency of products (when I need something while traveling, it is a good bet that the nearest WalMart will have the staple products I buy at the local ones here), and they are open 24hours in most cares- all things I like. THIS WALMART.....is, in my opinion, without exception, the very worst location in the city of Omaha, if not the entire United States. I do not use these words lightly, and the results are seen in the faces of all who shop there. If you want to see very angry people, go to this WalMart. Any time after 6pm (and I have been through it many times) there are massive lines of people waiting to check out. These lines of 15-20 people each literally stretch from the registers clear back to where the merchandise areas are, and beyond. It is so ridiculous, that the people shopping can't get through the main isle, because of all the people. Upon finally arriving at the registers, I have noted just two types of cashiers: 1.) The stereotypical, rude cashiers who do not seem to care about much. 2.) The sad, overwhelmed, apologetic cashiers (usually the younger ones) who have been beaten down over hours of customers taking their frustrations out on them. The customer service staff is beyond rude, even seeming to have contempt for the very people they are being paid to serve. I live in Dundee, so this is the closest WalMart to me, so I have give it many, many chances to keep my business. The last and FINAL trip I made there, however, I waited in line for 22 minutes. As I got up to the coveted position of just fourth in line, they shut the register down and myself and those behind me were forced to go to the back of other lines and start over!! I parked my cart right there, full of items, and walked out the door, never to return. I have not been to a Walmart since. WalMart should study this location and use it as a manager training scenario for how not to run their stores. It really is this bad. read more

THIS IS IN REFERENCE TO THEIR PHARMACY: So apparently I must give off a pheromone that induces people I come in contact with, including total strangers whose job it is to provide customer service, to act like complete ASSES!!! So in this evening's episode, I went to the Walmart on SO 72nd ST, where I always go unless I feel like driving all the way out to the location on 170th and Maple. I go into the store, grab a shopping cart, and round the corner to the pharmacy. I get to the counter and ask for a box of epipen needles. This little box of 50 Needles costs $9.00, again NINE DOLLARS IS THE COST OF THIS LITTLE BOX OF 50 NEEDLES, THAT SCREW ON TO THE END OF MY INSULIN EPIPENS!!! So the clerk goes and grabs them off the shelf, I confirm that is what I need, and proceeds to start to ring them up. I stopped him and told him that I have some shopping to do, so can I just take them with me (as I have done 10k times before, even with the hypodermic needles). The _____ pharmacist told the little flunky clerk that I would have to pay for them there at that register, to which I said . . . . SINCE WHEN?! So after that I told him that I was paying for everything with a check, and I am not going to write 2 checks at the same store, and why couldn't I take them with me? So he just repeated that they had to be purchased there, so I could come back after I was done shopping. I just turned around and headed off, because I felt a mighty surge of profanity raising up in the APEX of my SOUL!!! So I proceed to zig zag across the store, and by the time I ended up back at the pharmacy to complete my purchases, I had about 70.00 worth of items in my basket. So, the flunky clerk grabs the box of needles off of the partition and starts to ring him up, and I said, "You're going to ring up the rest of these items too - RIGHT?!" THIS FOOL HAD NERVE TO BUG HIS EYES . . . AND AS IF HE HAD TO DO IT FREE OF CHARGE . . . SAID, "All of it?!" AND I SAID, "YEAH ALL OF IT!!! YOU GOT SOMETHING ELSE TO DO?! Y'ALL HAD ME TO GO ALL ACROSS THIS STORE TO GET MY ITEMS IT'S ONLY FAIR YOU RING IT -ALL- UP!!" So this disengaged pharmacists interrupts while NOT looking up says to him to "WALK ME" up to register 17 and have me to pay for my purchases there. B_TCH?!?! WALK ME?!?! WALK - ME?!?! THIS IS A 9.00 DAMN BOX OF PEN NEEDLES . . . AND I HAVE TO BE ESCORTED TO THE REGISTER LIKE THIS IS BRINKS SECURITY?!?! Y'ALL GOT 8 MILLION CAMERA'S RIGGED IN EVERY CORNER OF THIS STORE . . . Deliberately sent us to the wrong section when we asked about the location of an item and then laughed when we pointed it out after being sent to the puppy food section instead of office supplies. Although I am not a HUGE fan of walmart, this store is clean and spacious and doesn't make it feel like I'm going to get run over by someone and their cart! The parking lot, on the other hand is a little confusing, especially when you first drive in. You don't really know what lane you need to be in to go straight or turn right. As I'm leaving Walmart with only a few items which was in a bag, I'm asked for my receipt, mind you the guy in front of me has items that weren't bagged,( he didn't have the same ethnicity as me) and was let through with no problem. I was told this is protocol. I asked how come the man with no bags wasn't, and was told he was checked in the other side. To add insult to injury they tried to play with my intelligence, because I watched him check out of line. I also asked several employess and was told that if the items are bagged, it's not protocol to check the receipt. If I could give zero stars I would. Thankfully there was a fully dressed out police office in the middle of the store but we stopped here due to needing to grab a few things and use the restroom. Firstly there was a grown man in the woman's restroom who was using the facility with the door open (granted I didn't look too hard walking by to find a stall myself so I didn't notice) until I came out and he was washing his hands i was as well. He proceeded to ask me if I smoked and I quickly said no. He left and came back in a few moments later asking if I had a boyfriend. I doubled checked to make sure I was in the woman's labeled restroom and I was. When I walked out he was following me and I felt uncomfortable enough to immediately leave, and find my significant other who was checking out in the self check out because I was fearful to walk too far alone. Jewelry service was crap. Stood there for an hour and a half and nobody came to help.

First of all I hate this place with a passion but I really wanted to make a photo blanket for part of my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend. I ordered this blanket 2 weeks ago and they said that it would be in on the 17th and that they would be sending an email or a text when it was in... I never got an email or a text so I called and asked for the photo department. After about the 4th call no answer I decided just to show up. I got there and there wasn't one... not 2 but 3 people behind the counter in the photo department just talking away. I walked up and told them I've been calling for a few hours and they just laughed in my face.. asked for my name and tossed the blanket to me. I wasn't happy at all. They only reason that I gave it one more star is because the blanket turned out AWESOME. My boyfriend loved it. read more

My first world problem being that the traffic is always clogged on 72nd Pine because of the Walmart. It seems like whoever gets in the lane to turn in always hits a green light immediately. While the nasty traffic moving forward is always jammed because of it.. Anyways, coming in the day is your typical Walmart experience (like we all know),but at night time I swear it's just as busy. They have 1-3 cashiers that do not move at all. Theres always a huge line, but in result I've seen very humorous things. What pisses me off most is me witnessing a cashier ask for a break one night and get denied. I wouldn't be surprised if they stood there for 5 hours straight. Last but not least, make sure to check if your eggs are cracked in the box before buying them. I've gone home to a sad box of yolk to many times. I went to purchase contacts from the vision center at this Walmart because it is near my work. The lady in the Vision Center's name was Lynn and she was EXTEMELY RUDE to me from the moment I walked in. I get my contacts through Walmart because my Eye Insurance pays for my contacts from there, otherwise I would go through my work. I am an Ophthalmic Assistant in an office with Medical Doctors that specialize in certain areas and the overall health of the eye. I have worked with patients for years assisting them with contacts/glasses and could never imaging being so disrespectful or unprofessional to a person coming to me for help, especially when THAT (customer service) IS MY JOB! After walking out, I saw her talking and giggling with the " vision center manager" named Mitch. I called and spoke to him when I left and complained. He didn't seem too concerned so I doubt that anything will be done about it. She seemed VERY comfortable acting this way like she's done it a million times before. It's very unfortunate for the truly, respectful, hard-working employees at Walmart. She's given the Vision Center at your location a very bad name. I work with a lot of Doctors and see a lot of patients who I will be sure to tell NOT to go to that location for glasses or contacts. Just ridiculous. The walmart is lovely but if you have to shop at night then you would be better off going somewhere else. This walmart shuts down its registers and only allows self check out. This way they only have to pay one person to watch everyone else doing a job your paying them for. I haven't gone back and wont. Its not service its just plane rude.
