I have complained for over two years now that the card readers at checkout have a problem with bank debit cards. It often takes three or four tries before the card is accepted and then it fails to process the transaction. I wind up getting a fraud notification from my bank and the card gets locked. Everyone appears to be aware of the problem but no one seems to care. When I've asked to speak to a manager I've been denied. It's disgusting the lack of empathy displayed by the employees. As a side, the Walmart employee shoppers and shelf stockers have no courtesy towards the shoppers. They block aisles with their carts and won't move. Time for corporate to get involved. read more

2 weeks on a row went to Peachtree City store for oil change. First time was told they did not have my filter. Second time (1 week later) now told no filter plus no oil for Hyundai Palisade. Went to other oil change place and no problems. Never again at this Wal Mart. read more

First, you couldn't get a cashier because everything was self pay. Next, WalMart finally gets cashiers but they are lousy. On 19 March I bought a few items and was checked out by some guy who couldn't quit talking to another employee long enough to pay attention to business., When I got home, I found that a few things were missing. Mr. Talkative didn't give me the bag. I called the Store and explained what happened and was promptly hung up on. My next call got me to someone who told me that I would have to make the 30 mile drive back there with my receipt to get the items. I was also told that mistakes happen. Their mistakes cost me a pretty penny and took up a large part of my day. Poor performance followed by excuses, putting the onus on the customer. Typical WalMart. read more

Walmart does not accept manufacturers' coupons anymore. I try and try and the system cannot scan it. The associates are trained not to override the system to enter the coupon manually. I had a Kingsford Charcoal coupon worth up to $12.00. I scanned the bag of charcoal at U Scan (total with tax $11.68, well under the $12.00 limit) then tried to scan the coupon. INVALID. The associate tried it at a regular register and still the system denied it. I left the charcoal. On my way home, I stopped at Publix, a local supermarket. I brought a bag of charcoal to the register, the cashier scanned it ($11.99 plus tax) and then scanned the coupon. It didn't scan so a supervisor came over and explained to the cashier to enter the value of the coupon ($12.00). Guess what! The system accepted the coupon so my out of pocket cost was $0.84, the tax. Why can't Walmart make coupons work. Why is it so difficult for associates to scan coupons. Why, why, why. read more

Long lines & the parking lot is a hassle. They are the best walmart in the area though, I'll give them that.

The automotive department is lazy. I purchased tires along with the hazard warranty, rotation, balance, etc, and one of my tires was flat. Something on my tire needed to be tightened in order to keep the air from coming out. One of the workers said, "I don't want to do any more work than I have to, and we're short staffed." He then told me my tire tread was too low for them to do anything for my tire. I went to another tire shop, they tested the tread, and it was above Walmart's "not able to do any work on this tire" policy. I went back, they attempted to cheat the depth gauge after measuring. in the amount of time these people wasted, my tire could've been fixed, with very little effort. I was able to fix it once I had the tools, which I had to buy, and it took less than ten twists to the right. People in this place are unreliable and untrustworthy. A horrible experience with "Bret the Manager". I ordered an Apple Watch on Walmart.com that was shipped from the Peachtree City location. When I received the package, the watch box had been opened and a used apple watch 6 had been place in the box instead of the new Apple Watch 8 that I had ordered. In addition, the charger was not in box. I immediately called Walmart.com who advised me that the fastest and easiest way to return and replace the watch with the correct item was to go to the Walmart it was shipped from, Peachtree City. My attempt to return the watch I received and replace it with the watch I actually ordered and paid for was met with utter contempt from "Bret the Manager". Not once did this man apologize, show empathy or even offer to investigate what happened. He flat out refused to help me in any way. Sunglass rack , only 6 pair of mens style. Multiple broken and scratched on rack. NO small baskets to carry goods. I was told that people steal them. Don't let them walk out with them ( DUH ). NO manned checkout stations were open at 5:00 PM on Saturday. 4 Scan stations had red lights flashing due to controlled items ( beer, cough medicine etc. ). One person allocated to releasing controlled items or mechanical issues for over 12 stations. Walmart is making sure that they lower their personnel costs, at the cost of customer service, ( correction - CUSTOMER NO SERVICE ). Multiple issues over the years. I could write a book. I live in Fairburn and I pass a Walmart that is a few miles from my house just to come to this one. I take my cars here for maintenance and have NEVER had an issue in their maintenance department. They are friendly and they actually work on the cars as opposed to just letting the car sit there like some other wal-marts. .. I find the inside of the store really clean and I haven't experienced long lines with no registers open like at some wal-marts. I really love this wal-mart and I wouldn't pay any attention to those folks who gave this wal-mart 2 stars. This place is great. read more

It's my own fault for getting fish at Walmart but I purchased a $10+ package of salmon and brought it home to cook for dinner today. When I opened the package it was the slimiest, most volatile smelling salmon. I love wasting money. Visited this location yesterday evening with my daughter only because the website showed in electronics a new sale item in stock. We arrived only to be told by a very unhelpful young man that there was a glitch in the system and that was actually a black Friday sale item he then added a comment about $600 checks flying around. Without ample time to respond he turned to help another customer who interrupted and he never turned back to us to assist us although my daughter inquired about a similar item to the original we came in store for. Their pick up is so unorganized! Waited an hour due to weather. When the weather eased up, they resumed but were loading cars that had pulled up way after me. When trying to speak to associate I was ignored by all three standing outside. When you call the number there is a recording. You have to call over and over to get someone. read more

I don't know what the other reviewers were experiencing when they visited but I've had nothing but good experiences. I am always greeted with kindness and throughout the store the employees speak to you and ask if you need any help. Maybe it's the customers that have the problem and not the store itself. Bought tires online and financed them on website even signed up for Walmart+ after agreeing to pay for amount $476.06 for 4 tires and installation and premium tire services for any issues that may arise....when I got tires installed on 04/17 they stated that i had to pay additional for the installation and premium services...I advised them and showed them that I had paid for everything in full...now got email that shows cancelled services which means that if I have tire issues I am screwed thus loosing my purchase...after chatting with help desk or lack of help desk....they told me that I will have to purchase those services again...I asked for a resolution phone number to go higher but gave me help desk number or lack of help desk which is same department...because of this I will not purchase any auto services with Walmart will not renew Walmart + and now I have no choice but to seek legal council to advise me and my rights at the state and federal level... read more

I dread shopping at walmart. Checking out takes as long as finding what you are looking for. Always see people wth their blue vests walking around, but they never seem to know where anything is, they don't try to help you find it, and they don't seem to care. You can tell the corporate culture is one of a 'mill work'... spend lots of money to create the brand image you are cheaper (not true...definitely not on groceries) , so you can move the customers in, keep them wandering around in search of what they really wanted to buy, making emotional purchases, only to stand in line to check out. I have NEVER been to walmart where i only had to wait behind one person or less in the check out. Almost always have at least 3-5 carts in front, out into the main aisle... while I see blue vest after blue vest wandering around, even managers, completely oblivious to the fact that 20 people are waiting at 4 registers while 10 registers sit there unopened. Their self check out is a joke... half the time it doesn't work, no one is there to help, and in reality you could walk right on by because the little old lady they use for security can't hear and spends most of her time chatting with other people. Can you say dejavu on K-Mart woes 10 years ago? Locally, K-Mart has started to really grow in business because people don't want to deal with the "walmart experience". If you are a stock holder, sell it now because the end is coming. Not the Walmart that was America's favorite store anymore. And with Kroger coming on strong to add merchandise to their grocery footprint, walmart will have more competition than ever. read more

Honestly this Walmart is poorly managed. I've been in this area for 8 days and every time I go in there it's the same way. No carts at all, you have to go get your own. It doesn't appear that the place has been stocked since I first came here. And the ridiculous lines, the first time I came in around 6pm. There were zero lines open for an employee to check people out NONE. There were employees walking around like they had nothing to do. Not to mention I seen a manager multiple times. Not once did anyone call for people to come get on a register. There had to be 100 people waiting in line, no joke. It took a solid 45 minutes for me to be checked out, wait let me rephrase, for me to check myself out on one of the very few self check out lanes. There was only one side of the small self checkouts lanes even open. So I went to the longer ones which again there are very few of those. Again a lot of yellow jackets walking around like they had nothing to do. When I arrived I couldn't even get through the area to go get items I needed due to the enormous amount of people waiting to check themselves out. I completely understand that everyone's short staffed. However there were plenty of people who could've came and hopped on a register (like a manager?!). Oh and there was one employee that apparently had been shopping with her name badge on and was like B**** bye I'm going to check out in electronics. She had one of those badges on that says something about the years they've worked there? I think that's what it said. Anyway it was different then everyone else's. For the area this Walmart is in someone has a lot of work on their hands to whip this crappy place in shape. You definitely need new managers ASAP because their scheduling skills suck! Every time I've gone to Walmart since I moved to Sharpsburg, last year, they seem to be out of something and the store has been rearranged. Even the employees don't know where things have been moved. A lot of things are missing from the shelves, yet, there are so many boxes in the aisles you can hardly get your cart past! I know, I know, Covid! Covid isn't making boxes not get unpacked! Do NOT use this place for anything for your car. I bought a used car last November and observed a good bit of wear on the inside of the front tires by April so I replaced the front pair at a different place I went in June and replaced my back tires here. I explained the wear iodine and that as a single mom I couldn't afford to be stranded or have a car that wasn't road safe. I even purchased road hazard and balance for life. All this was supposed to be in the customer care notes. What isn't there is that info or how they put the worn originals on the rear up front, removing completely the ones I just got in April, said *nothing* about how such wear was a red flag for alignment and would happen again or how balancing would also have been impossible with seized, corroded inner tie rods. Fast forward to now, September, when the auto care guy in charge Nick is telling me that it's my problem not theirs because telling a customer that kind of information isn't part of installation service and customer roadworthiness isn't their ethical responsibility since their center doesn't do alignment. Basically after denying what I had to piece together from receipts and records, this place did shoddy, dishonest work and admitted they didn't care that it left me as a single woman in a car that wouldn't be safe on the road In just a few months. The customer service department was closed at 5:30 pm on a Saturday during the holiday season Saturday December 18th. I find this very disappointing and this Walmart has really went downhill from 2012. The grocery carts are worn out, there are very few registers open and some employees not all does not have customer friendliness. The store is clean so that is a plus however the shelves are frequently scattered but that could be due to current conditions. This would be sad to see this location go down hill because a lot of customers shop at this location. read more

Perhaps I just outwitted myself. I was headed to Staples to pick up office supplies and some small electronic items for a new project team. I had the clever idea of going to Walmart for better prices. Mistake. I was actually able to find most everything I needed and wound up with about 30 items in my shopping cart. Finding things was far more time consuming than I could afford over my lunch break, but I did it and felt ready to go. Ready, that is, until I reached the checkout. There were special lines for under 10 items, special lines for under 20 items and special lines for self-checkout. I went to one if the two only open lines which were not 'special.' Stood there for ten minutes while time stood still. Grey-haired retirees in walkers and wheel-chairs, with fishing poles and Depends jammed into their stretch-waste jeans all milled about ahead of me while the clerk stared and slowly slid cases of Ensure and dog food past the scanner. Sheesh! I went to a self-service line, which was dysfunctional -- it wanted every item to end up on its little scale. A tired Walmart employee sat in a chair and watched me get frustrated. She was speechless as she shuffled her feet and stared. I went to a special line for 20 items or less and asked the idle woman there if she could ring up more than 20 items. "We don't like to do that", she told me as her compadre at the neighboring special line for 20 items or less stood idly by and shrugged her shoulders. Unnerving. I could not waste any more time in the Muzak-soaked, fluorescent light of that Purgatory of retail. I had to leave. "Okay," I said, "I left a cart full of 30 items back there", and I left. Found a quick lunch, went back to work and spent my $400 at Staples that evening. Enjoy! read more

This is Walmart, and the whole point of going to a cheap, low quality, big box store like this, is that you can get in and get out quickly. That being said, I cannot for the life of me understand how this place justifies its own existence. I can only assume that it has cut so many essential personnel that it has now become profitable. In this particular case, the very fact that this Walmart Supercenter exists at all, seems to suggest that the residents of Peachtree City are willing to tolerate any kind of absurd contradiction in a companies purported purpose, so long as it means they can find the majority of the stuff they want to buy in a single place. There is absolutely nothing convenient about shopping here. By all means, the people working the floor in this Walmart, do every single thing that they can to make sure their customers needs are met. But every single time I come to this Walmart it quickly becomes apparent, that management decided to run this store with a mere fraction of the employees it actually takes to make the store work effectively from a consumers perspective. This is a Supercenter, it has something like 30 checkout lanes. I have lived in Peachtree City off and on for nearly eight years now. At no point in my life have I ever seen the entirety of those checkout lanes operate at full capacity. Not during off holidays like Halloween or Thanksgiving, not during major holidays like Christmas. I have never once seen this store employ enough cashiers to staff the entirety of the of cash registers it has, let alone employ enough staff to ensure that wait times at any given checkout lane are minimized. This store employs the absolute bare minimum staff necessary at all times. When you stand in line at this place, you can't help but feel that it is almost as if the management at this particular Walmart location, placed the the overly abundant checkout lanes there just to be ironic. Perhaps just to piss you off. So while you stand in line with an ever growing assembly of other annoyed, albeit equally patient and polite customers, it is not uncommon that you all talk about how absurd it is that there are eight checkout lanes to choose from at 6 pm on a Friday, in a store that has the capacity for thirty. Thankfully, most working people have enough common decency to not be rude to the people actually manning the lanes, because those people had no choice in how management decided they should do the jobs of multiple people in one for the same pay. During peak hours, the self-checkout always has a line of customers extending into the main thoroughfare. It seems clear to me at this point, after a decade of visiting Supercenters, that no amount of training can adequately prepare any single employee to handle the demands of multiple customers simultaneously checking out, at eight different self-checkout machines, when combined with the routinely malfunctioning nature of the machines. But those employees try as best they can, and they do it well. Should you have the misfortune of visiting this place really late at night; you can be assured that whatever unfortunate, overworked and underpaid person that was initially tasked with manning the self-checkouts; will have been inevitably been reassigned to fulfill not only their existing duties as self-checkout cashier, but also have been simultaneously tasked with cleaning floors, or rearranging shopping carts to block off any recently polished portions of the stores floors. When I last visited this location late at night, I gave up standing in front of my self-checkout machine, and finally resigned myself to sit on the metal bench in front of self-check out for twenty minutes. Finally the exhausted staff member who was tasked was watching self-checkout stopped doing her custodial duties, and got back to self-checkout to help me. It was not her fault. Her employer decided that she should play the role of dedicated overnight cashier, and custodian. Beyond this, is what I consider the most unforgivable grievance of them all... At some point, after deciding that they could maintain a staff of 30 do the work of 60, management at this particular Walmart, decided that they were going to do away with the handheld plastic baskets that people use when doing light shopping entirely. In their place, the store offers trendily branded cotton bags that you can PURCHASE to carry around the store, to do light shopping. Management at this store, can't even be bothered to hire enough staff to work the place and make checkout convenient, and yet they think I'm going to PAY them extra to carry less items? Walmart represents the largest retailer in the world, and if they think for a second that I'm going to pay a fee, for the convenience of being able to carry a smaller amount of products around the store, they are sorely mistaken. Not once have I seen a manager on the floor at this Walmart, and I suppose that is very telling. read more

This is an absolutely AMAZING WalMart. It's clean, the employees are helpful and friendly, it's well stocked, and I never feel overwhelmed or that things are chaotic. The unfortunate thing is that folks who live further away who have horrible Walmarts are coming to our local Walmart and creating unpleasant shopping experiences for our neighbors bc their local Walmart is horrible. This is for the Optical department. Shop elsewhere! Called on Sunday to let me know my glasses where ready. But I couldn't pick them up. No optician there. I was told to come back Monday between 9 and 9. Arrived at 7pm, no optician so I cannot pick up the glasses I already paid for. No optician was involved in picking them out, or pricing. On April 20, 2019 I returned some spray paint and was credited the money back to my debit/credit card but later that day they charged my card for the same amount, they stole money from me and now I can't even get them to answer the phone so I can talk to them about it. I have been trying for over an hour to get an answer but they pick up and hang up. I do not live in Fayette County and I'm trying to resolve this over the phone but no department will answer nor will customer service. As far as Walmart's go, this is the norm. I'll be honest that I'm not a fan of this Walmart due to its clientele, its staff, and the hassle it is to get in and out of it especially on a weekend day. If you HAVE to go, you can get in and out reasonably quickily during non-peak times. Otherwise...it's a soul sucking, life crushing, IQ dropping vortex that makes you use up time of your life that you can never get back. My honest opinion is....go to Target first. read more
