On the plus side, this Walmart tolerates overnight parking in their lot for RVs. So that's a really…read morenice thing when you're driving out to Myrtle or Wilmington and not wanting to spend money for a parking space. On the minus side, this Walmart was not great. Starting with carts in the cart corrals and continuing inside to shelves needing stocking, merchandise scattered about (why is there a jug of milk in the water aisle? people suck!) and a long queue at the self checkout. I needed to be here when they arrived so I could get frozen things into the freezer right away. Noon came and went. I got an email from Walmart saying my order was delayed and should arrive by 1:10 PM. It also said they would keep me updated. Abour 1:00 they sent another email saying again that my order was delayed, and this time offering no estimated time of arrival. But they did say that I could reschedule, pick up the order, or cancel it. However, not knowing what was causing the delay, it was hard to decide what to do. So I decided to wait a while longer. At about 4:30, I tried to call and ask if they expected the order to be delivered at all today, or if they had lost it or what was going on. It rang and rang about 20 times, but no answer in the pickup and delivery department. So I tried to call the main operator. Again, 20+ rings with no answer. Then I checked the website again. It said they're still working on it. Now it's 6:30. My order is 6 1/2 hours late with no idea of when of if it might arrive. And they have not kept me updated as promised. I can't get any information. I don't want a refund, I need my groceries! Picking them up isn't an option tonight, and who knows if my order is even ready if I went to get it? They won't tell me anything. I've had many good experiences with Walmart, with delivery orders, pickup orders, and shopping in the store. But never anything even remotely like this. I have to agree with other posters, the Rockingham Walmart is overall the worst I've ever seen, and I have lived in a lot of places and shopped in many Walmart stores. But our choices are very limited here.

I went in on November 10 to get small American flags to put on the gravesites to honor American…read moremilitary veterans on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2025. I could not find an American flag display. I stopped a young man employee and ask where it was. He looked around and said he didn't know. He immediately ask a more experienced looking employee. She pointed to a single American flag on top of a display case and a cup with a few 8 inch (very small) plastic flags. Our military veterans deserve better. The young man was very cordial and polite. The other employee was distracted with another customer. I left the store and made no other purchases. A few years ago I went into the Roses store, again looking for American flags to commemorate another patriotic holiday. That time there was a nice American flag display BUT it was stuck in a back corner so you couldn't find it. I spoke to the manager and the next time I went in, the flag display was near the front, very visible to customers coming in. I really appreciated the manager listening and making those changes. That was a few years ago. NOW...Christmas displays go up when Halloween and Fall/Thanksgiving displays go up. Patriotism and patriotic holidays are largely ignored or given little recognition. When flags and other Americana items are found, they are usually manufactured in China rather than the USA. It is because of our Military and Veterans that Roses and other businesses in the USA can even conduct their business and appreciation for their sacrifice should be recognized and applauded EVERY day and not just one day a year!! And not recognizing it even ONE day is despicable!! I probably will not be shopping at Roses in the future.
